The perfect woman. The analysis of movie characters of artificial female beings from the perspective of the postmodern theories and its approaches to the body and the identity constitution.

This thesis will be focused on the analysis of the basic types of the female artificial movie characters - the beings connecting "femininity" (humanity) and technology. These characters holds the external female sexual signs or the characteristics stereotypically perceived as female (e.g. cyborg/cyborg woman, android woman, robotess). My issue will be examinated from the perspective of postmodern approach to the process of shaping their bodies and identities in relation to the narrative movie structure. The characters will be divided into categories based on their dominating physical and "social" function in the story. The subsequent identification and interpretation of physicality, identity and relations with other characters of the narrative will be based not only on principles of semiotic analysis, but will take into account especially the approach of postmodernism. The main theoretical basis for this paper will be the theory of poststructuralism and so called post theories - a theory of posthumanism, transhumanism and cyberfeminism.

Mummy Mill - a Postmodern Utopia of Magical Prague

This very writing is examining the two ultimate books "Mlýn na mumie" from the talented Petr Stančík, and "Sedmikostelí" and "Lord Mord" from the extremely obscure Miloš Urban. The main and most significant purpose of this work is to find and distinguish characteristics of each author, diving deeper into their unique styles, finding possible similarities while trying to learn about one of the very few raw original writing styles. Despite the books being multi-genre, they do try to characterize the exact genres along the way, after a proper introduction of the authors themselves, of course. The genres appearing in these books are clearly shown in individual excerpts below original text. A dominant part of my work is an analysis of the time space and the main character or hero if you prefer - again shown in excerpts as key parts of novels. Towards the end you can find the so-called great myth of the nation as a frequently repeated topic. By the conclusion of this work is a final comparison of previous analyses.

A Systemic Approach in Supervision

Supervision is dramatically growing domain in the past few years. There are many origins which influence its practice and psychotherapy models are one of them. It is important to be conscious of the influence of theoretical background, which can colour end guide course of supervision. We can find increasing use of systemic approach in the practice, therefore this work focus on its application in supervision. We can find lack of resources specific for using systemic approach in the supervision in the social and health care services, so it is important to turn the attetntion to experiences of supervisors using this approach in their practice in this field. The study is concentrating on - what are the stands of supervisors to systemic aproach and what are their experiences with using this approach in practice of supervision. Semi-structured interviews and a questionnaire are used for obtaining outcomes. The data were analysed in qualitative approach. Outcomes of this study indicate emphasis on stands of the supervisors, rather than on "simple" aplication of methodological operations. Nietzche and the Present Day

The first part of this thesis makes the task to illuminate Nietzsche 's basic concepts, as is "The Will of Power", "Superman" and The Eternal Return" to be understood as the most directly substance of his basic filosophic views. This understanding is a necessary assumption for the second part. Its intention is refer the connection of Nietzsche with this age. It opens question for ethos. The author talks about ontologic diference and its connection in relation to a man of today in the third part. The ethos at thinker do not find it finally, and so it forges to fourth part to only possible relevant step forward. Though it is finding etics in source of every man as background from postmodern 's nihilism. The aim of the thesis is to show not only that Niezzsche destroyed ethical values. These values were inculcated by institutions of power for a long time. By this destroying, he created the bridge to finding himself. It is task and postmodern still does not mature to it, but environment has already been ready here.

Fashion as a Differend

The work called Fashion as a Differend presents the demands of critics of fashion and shows that they are in decomposition with its definition as defined by J. - F. Lyotard in the context of a postmodern condition. It argues that discourse overriding the demands of fashion critics is asymetrical with discourse within which fashion is defined. It turns out that there is a logical paradox with regard to the essence of fashion, which is transience or rapid change (at least as fast a change in society) and the floating demand for slowing down, stability and other criticisms that are linked to its transformation.

G. Lipovetsky: The Painless Ethics

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to follow and to critically interpret the proposition about the development of ethics and morality in the work of Gilles Lipovetsky both on specific examples from the history of ethics and its contemporary reflections. The thesis should clarify in what cases is his philosophical and sociological diagnosis, analysis and prediction justified and where it is on the contrary problematic and why. Lipovetsky's proposition in his book The Twilight of Duty is that contemporary moral "boom" is actually a shock and not only a comeback or a revitalization of the traditional morality. It would be no exaggeration to say that contemporary morality is definitely leaving the traditional one behind. The ambition of the thesis is also to give a formulation of the character and typical manifestation of Lipovetsky's "postmoral ethics of the third type" with neither religious nor lay basis in form of duty. The thesis is aware of the tension between the ethical ardor and decadence, the incitements to individualism and the demands of society, in short the tension between responsible and irresponsible ethics. The thesis "Old masters paintings in photography (with emphasis on the work of Vermeer van Delft)" deal with new reflections of old master's paintings in photography. This thesis is focused on Heidegger's concept of university. Firstly is shown Heidegger's a difficult style of thinking. On this basis is described being of science, concept of university during his work as a president in Freiburg and in period after war. Thesis discuss the problem of being of technology and two ways of thinking which is closely connected with topic. Finally Heidegger's concept of university is shown in postmodern situation. Present and future problems related to university are elaborated as well.

Ethics of Postmodern Subject and Relation of Self to Itself

This thesis is focused on ethics and subject in postmodernism and poststructuralism. The thesis contains methods of analysis, interpretation and comparison. These methods are primarily focused on French authors of the second half of the 20th century. In the text, there are answered questions like: "How society, knowledge and thiking of certain period affected the freedom of human being? What mechanisms exist in the language function structures that affect human way of thinking? What are the possibilities for individuals, to emancipate against the influence of powerfull government institutions and their strategies?" The aim of the thesis is to make an ethics rules that will be taken like an alternative to the codified normative morality. It shows the differences between modern universalism and posmodern pluralism. The dualism is interpreted primarily in the way of thinking of J.-F. Lyotard. There is also interpretation of dualism throught Deleuze and Guattari philosophy that is formulated due to theory of arborescent and rhizomatic structures. Most of the thesis is based on Michel Foucault's phylosophy of normalization and disciplining of a subject and authoritatively established ethics.
