Škarecký, Tomáš ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Škarvada, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelors thesis deals with problematic of Microsoft Windows Mobile device synchronization via Bluetooth technology. It describes principle of data synchronization, Bluetooth technology and application development process for Windows Mobile. \\The design and implementation of synchronizing application is also presented.
Chat and Shared Drawing Board for Pocket PCs with Bluetooth
Zapletal, Pavel ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Novosad, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the project is to design and implement an application for a pocket PC that allows users to exchange short text messages and provides shared drawing board. On the beginning of this work, there is described bluetooth technology which is used for data-tranfer. In the next part are mentioned Pocket PC platform and possibilities of communication. The main part describes implementation in Microsoft's eMbedded Visual C++. At the end, there are listed possibilities of future development.
T-Mobile MDA II in Linux
Michl, Zbyněk ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
MSc. thesis deals with mobile digital assistant T-Mobile MDA II running Linux operating system. The first part presents device identification and parameters' specification of the MDA II. The second part focuses on selection of GNU distribution with Linux bootloader and Linux kernel support comparison. The subject of the last part is MDA II component code implementation and its merging into Linux kernel.
Usage of PDA for Distribution of Information in Closed Net
Ryšánek, Vojtěch ; Techet, Jiří (referee) ; Lukáš, Roman (advisor)
The task of this project is to build application for managing of multimedia data in enclosed wireless networks and to present this data to the user. In model case it can be for example city guide - on position given by GPS are presented information about surrounding scene. Application must be capable of downloading data into Pocket PC - PDA and present them to the user as user friendly application.
Position Tracking with GPS and PDA
Černohorský, Vilém ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This work presents steps in creation of remote position tracking application. Document introduces history of geographical positioning and navigation, and describes development of navigation from primitive utilities to complex radio navigation systems. Global Positioning System is described in more detail including NMEA protocol used by GPS receivers. This work also presents several current navigation applications. Based on obtained information work presents analysis, object-oriented design and implementation of remote position tracking system.
Universal Windows Mobile Database Connector
Pohořelský, Roman ; Schäfer, Jiří (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is communication process between a mobile device and a server. The work is concerned with development of application in Windows Mobile in the light of technical limitation. The thesis also deals with the development of application for universal mobile database connector which then enables transparent working with information, obtained from database placed on server, on the mobile device.
Distance and area measurement techniques based on GPS
Konecký, Jakub ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of my dissertation work was to create an application for pocket PC with operating system Windows Mobile and touch screen, an application that would enable to position the current location of the pocket PC based on the GPS data, on distance measurement between two and more points of which the location is obtained from GPS, and on measurement of territory surface defined by certain number of points obtained from the GPS. The application also enables to display the characteristics of the received GPS signal, information about the number of visible satellites and also information about maximum deviation from positioning. In order to increase the accuracy of the positioning, an averaging function has been implemented. As additional function, a possibility of route location has been created. It measures the passed distance and records some other route characteristics. The application has been successfully tested on pocket PC E-ten M600+ and GPS receiver Navilock but it has been designed with general-purpose and should be compatible with all devices working with operating system Windows Mobile and touch screen. The text section of my dissertation work describes the positioning principle on the basis of satellites with known position, deals with the accuracy of these systems and describes few possibilities how to increase their accuracy. It also discusses the NMEA 0183 Protocol that is used by the majority of GPS modules for communication. The text section also describes several mathematic and cartographic calculations needed for realization of the application. In the end of the text section there is a detailed description of the created application.
PDA software for robot soccer
Uhlíř, Luděk ; Honzík, Petr (referee) ; Hrabec, Jakub (advisor)
Robotic soccer is a game like a real soccer but here the game is played by robots. The rules are the same, only there are few exceptions (foul, penalty kick, stalemate situation). Game is running without the human intervention. Just a human referee is supervising the game. Two teams are attending the game. Each of them has a control computer. The control computer is the brain of the game. It has a camera, it is making decisions for the next step of robots and sending them configuration data. The thesis deals with testing of communication interface and designs the new communication protocol for the next generation of the robots. The testing is provided by pocket pc Palm TX. It will send data over the Bluetooth interface to the control pc and will configure particular constants, like constants of PID regulator and an address of a robot. This will be provided by the IrDA interface.
Developing mobile applications in .NET CF
Novotný, Marek ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with developing applications using.NET Compact Framework. It describes a development of NET CF versions and their contribution for users. Thesis describes controls which are in different distributions of .NET CF for different devices (PocketPC, Smartphone) and it shortly describes Integrated Development Environment Visual Studio 2008. It also deals with possibilities for testing applications namely with Microsoft Device Emulator V3 which is linked with Integrated Development Environment Visual Studio 2008. It analyzes options possibilities of this emulator. Thesis puts the accent on creating layout and possibilities for his creating in Integrated Development Environment Visual Studio 2008. At the end of the thesis there is mentioned a practical example. It is application for sending SMS messages. All steps for creation of application are caught in screenshots.
