Missile Defence in Northeast Asia and its Influence on the Chinese Strategic Behaviour

Master thesis analyzes strategic behavior of the PRC in the region of the Northeast Asia in direct relationship with regional missile defense. The aim is to analyze motives of China`s regional strategic behavior with respect to the specific technological element (= Theatre Missile Defense) on the basis of predetermined analytical levels: realistic, liberal and constructivist. But there are great differences in technological configuration of individual missile defense systems or in the configuration of the relationship of regional actors with the PRC. Thus the thesis will comprise of case studies analyzing the complex relationship of the PRC and regional actors (that are creating regional missile defense). The creation of regional missile defense can endanger China`s vital strategic interests (in the region of Northeast Asia) under specific conditions. But the regional strategic behaviour of the PRC is moderate. The aim is to explain, why the PRC does not change its regional strategic behavior in direct connection with emerging theater missile defence.
Constitutional Development in the PRC before 1982

The present paper treats constitutional development of the People's Republic of China since its establishment (1949) till the end of the Maoist era and the formation of the current constitution (1982). It aims especially at formal aspects of constitutional law. It deals primarily with the content of the Common Program of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and of the 1954, 1975 and 1978 constitutions respectively. The main part focuses on the 1954 constitution, which created foundations of the modern Chinese communist constitutional law and determined its further evolution.
Hukou system in China: socioeconomic impacts and reforms

This thesis covers the topic of hukou system in the People's Republic of China also known as household registration system. The thesis explains how was the hukou system created. In the following part socioeconomic impacts of hukou are analysed. Furthermore the reform process of the hukou system is explained including cases of Chongqing and Shenzhen.
The oil security of China and implications for international relations

The thesis focuses on the oil security of China. The China became net oil importer in 1993 and so the focus of the thesis is on this date. The second chapter introduces whole energy situation of PRC and explains the importance of oil for China's economy. The third chapter identifies clue countries and regions for China's oil imports and their political stability. Using these information, the thesis measures the level of security of Chinese oil imports from the clue countries between the years 1996 and 2012.
ŠKODA AUTO and concern Volkswagen in Chinese automotive market

The main objective is to answer the question of how the development of the political status of Taiwan affected the economic relations with the PRC and what the consequences for both countries are.
The role of Chinese diplomacy in contemporary international relations

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to characterize Chinese diplomacy and its position in the area of International relations. Chosen theoretical basis from the area of diplomatic studies and the area of cultural analysis correspond with the main goal of the thesis. The paper is thematically divided into three chapters, where the first one is focused on the definition of theoretical basis from the area of cultural studies and on the analysis of Chinese foreign policy, the method of literary research and analysis is used here. In the second chapter, the value orientation and paradigmatic principles of Chinese society is specified. The third chapter comprises of the synthesis and of a case study that verifies its conclusion.
The position of European brands in the automotive market in the PRC

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the present position of the European brands in the Chinese car market and outline possible future developments and opportunities for growth. The first chapter characterizes the automotive market in the EU and the PRC. The next section describes the development of trade in automotive products between the EU and the PRC. Finally, a SWOT analysis of European automakers in the Chinese market is performed.

Current aspects of cross-strait relations

The aim of this master thesis is to assess present situation and current aspects of cross-strait relations in the area of mutual negotiation, achieved progress as well as possible future development. First, a brief summary of existing historic development of mutual relations of China and Taiwan is presented with the emphasis laid on historic moments influencing attitude and relations of both states. The main factors that have a significant influence on views and behaviour of both China and Taiwan and on their relationship as well are identified in the next chapter. The last chapter deals with the future of cross-strait relations; the main possible alternatives of prospective development of mutual relations of both sides of the Taiwan Strait with reference to the above mentioned factors are presented. The conclusion summarizes the main problems of current cross-strait relations and it also evaluates which variant of the future development of mutual relations of China and Taiwan is the most probable one.
