Součková, Tereza ; Fuchs, Roman (advisor) ; Hořák, David (referee)
This thesis summarizes findings on a recognition and categorization of different sorts of stimuli at birds, it deals with predator recognition in the Red-backed Shrike (Lanius collurio) in its practical part. The aim of my study was to examine if Red-backed Shrikes follow by sign stimuli or colour of stimulus during the predator recognition. I performed my research by means of experiments with dummies, I have observed antipredatory reactions of Red-backed Shrikes on various types of dummies which differ in the presence or absence of features of raptor or in the different coloration. I concluded according to Shrikes' reactions that during the predator recognition the information on sign stimuli playes the principal role, but only this information alone is not fully sufficient. Antipredatory behaviour of the Red-backed Shrike was also influenced by sex of bird apart from type of dummy, males were more active during the nest defence than females.

Kriegerová, Hana ; Šnýdrová, Ivana (advisor) ; Tureckiová, Michaela (referee)
This thesis deals with the current issue of discrimination in the workplace, especially focuses on discrimination based on age and sex, sexual harassment and bullying in the workplace, legislation that regulates the area of discrimination in labor relations. The theoretical section includes explanations of terms and connections to a given focus and the practical part includes a probe into five large companies examining whether the effects mentioned in the theoretical part actually occur in practice, or how these problems are solved. This probe was in the form of semi-structured interview respondents in their workplaces. The results confirmed the claim that one of the most vulnerable group are women. Larger companies are trying to provide them a variety of advantages as for example flexible-time work, etc. Some companies have confirmed that there were some cases of bullying or sexual harassment in their firm, but these situations have not been solved other than by the dismissal of one of the participants. However, the occurrence of age discrimination was in the surveyed companies not confirmed - despite the theoretical claims and personal experience. It also showed that the respondents, HR professionals from large companies, have a poor conception of the possible solutions of those situations and...

In the conclusion I show prevention and tolerance of mobbing and bossing. In practical part I point on assesment of hypothesis and evaluation of the target of my thesis. I suppose that the chicane show up in small measure on the workplace of the intensive care units.

Each chapter of the paper analyses the manifestations of bullying in the workplace, the people to whom it relates, as well as its consequences on mental and physical health. The issue of bullying in the workplace is further described de lege lata and opens up the possibility of regulation de lege ferenda. It examines the risks and threats associated with this issue and provides a brief overview of the history of bullying, its types and forms. It also presents possibilities of defence from the victim's point of view and focuses on specific environments where bullying occurs, such as in the security forces and military, health care or education. It also discusses national and transnational initiatives in this area, as well as currently functioning practical examples of their application from abroad, which could in many ways serve as inspiration for future Czech legislation.
