Temperature, pressure and humidity monitoring system for a workshop floor
Kudera, Tomáš ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of overall concept of distributed system which is used for temperature, pressure and humidity measurement. The system is adapted to be used in instrument transformers and sensors production hall of ABB s.r.o. Brno. Firstly, the requirements for the measuring system are defined. After that market research focused on sensors and measurement modules is performed. The selected sensor is afterwards built into own measurement module for which hardware and software part is designed. The work continues with design of local and remote database of measured values. Besides, the PC software used for local and remote data storage is designed afterwards. The components of the measurement system are tested in the final part of the thesis.
Analysis of indoor climate of spa resort
Chadima, Tomáš ; Rubinová, Olga (referee) ; Horká, Lucie (advisor)
The thesis deals with the environmental assessment of buildings, concrete objects Letní lázně at Karlova Studánka. The first part describes the issue and legislation. There is also described a method of experimental measurement and methods of moisture measurement. The second part deals with the analysis of the specified object, description of selected renewable sources and description of possible modifications of the object. The third part is devoted to modeling and simulation of the specified object in DesignBuilder. Using the model were created various simulations with various modifications in order to reduce energy intensity of the object. Results were then evaluated and compared.
Assessment of thermal comfort in buildings
Procházka, Aleš ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis summarises knowleges about methods used for assessments of thermal comfort in buldings. In opening part of thesis is thermal comfort introduces as important part of overall satisfaction with indoor environment. There are also described fyziological basics and ways of thermoregulation and individual elements of thermal balance. Next part of thesis is focused on thermal and humidity factors of indoor environment. Some combinations of these factors form thermal comfort. Main part of thesis describes methods of assesments of thermal comfort using PMV and PPD indices. For practical uses there are examples of comfort diagrams, which are based on PMV index, Thermal Comfort Meter and Thermal Manikin. Last part contains description of some instruments for measurement of used physical values.
Weight sensing of beehives with IoT connectivity
Havránek, Daniel ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Kufa, Jan (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to make a device that can measure some beehive parameters, that can inform you about the conditions in a beehive. These parameters are beehive weight, inner and ambient temperature, inner and ambient humidity and air pressure. The device allows to send the measured data wirelessly through the 2G network and interpret the results in appropriate way. Low power consumption is desirable due to working without the reach of the distribution network.
Arduino programming with Matlab/Simulink
Bartoněk, Jan ; Hůlka, Tomáš (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
The content of this bachelor´s thesis is a research of possibility of programming an Arduino microcontroller using Matlab/Simulink program. Part of the thesis is also a brief research of the Arduino platform. Furthermore, two practical tasks were created and described in this work, which can be used for educational purposes. The first being an application demonstrating the use of the DHT22 sensor, created using App Designer, which is part a of Matlab. The second task deals with the regulation of the position of a levitating body in the tube, using Simulink. Demonstration videos were created for both tasks and are part of this work.
Monitoring system design for aquaponics farm
Mikuš, Tomáš ; Bednařík, Josef (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the design and implementation of an online monitoring system for an aquaponic farm. The system will be able to measure water temperature in tanks, air temperature and humidity, pH of water and water level in tanks. All measured data will be accessible online. The system will also be able to control a fan and water pumps.

Ventilation and Air Conditioning of Civil Buildings
Matějíček, Michal ; Adam, Pavel (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of the air conditioning of a swimming pool in Karlova Studánka. Air conditioning ensures forced ventilation and adjusts incoming air to required temperature and humidity inside the pool. The theoretical part deals with literary research on the topic of humid air, evaporation from the water and the thermal load of the object. The experimental part deals with evaluation of the measured humidity and indoor temperature in a bathroom and in a swimming pool.
