The deposition of Ga and GaN nanostructures on silicon and graphene substrate
Novák, Jakub ; Jarý, Vítězslav (referee) ; Mach, Jindřich (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the study of properties of GaN nanocrystals and Ga structures on the surface of silicon and graphene substrate. In the theoretical part of this thesis, the basic properties of Ga/GaN and graphene are described, as well as their applications or connection of both structures together in different devices. The ability of metal nanoparticles to enhance not only photoluminescence, due to the interaction of the material with surface plasmons, is also shown in several examples. The experimental part of the work first deals with the production and characterization of graphene sheets prepared by Chemical Vapor Deposition. Ga/GaN growth on both types of substrates was performed in a UHV chamber using an effusion cell for Ga deposition and an atomic ion source for nitridation. Prepared structures were characterized using various methods (XPS, SEM, AFM, Raman spectroscopy or photoluminescence). In the last step, GaN nanocrystals were coated with Ga islands to study the photoluminescence enhancement.
Video stabilization using global optimization algorithms
Bartoš, Patrik ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Kříž, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on video stabilization using CRS (Controlled Random Search) and GA (Genetic Algorithm) optimization algorithms. It describes registration process, geometrical transformations, interpolation methods, similarity criteria and optimization algorithms. It also briefly describes structure of the program created in MATLAB. Finally it contains results of achieved stabilization.
The GPU-Based Acceleration of the Genetic Algorithm
Pospíchal, Petr ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis represents master's thesis focused on acceleration of Genetic algorithms using GPU. First chapter deeply analyses Genetic algorithms and corresponding topics like population, chromosome, crossover, mutation and selection. Next part of the thesis shows GPU abilities for unified computing using both DirectX/OpenGL with Cg and specialized GPGPU libraries like CUDA. The fourth chapter focuses on design of GPU implementation using CUDA, coarse-grained and fine-grained GAs are discussed, and completed by sorting and random number generation task accelerated by GPU. Next chapter covers implementation details -- migration, crossover and selection schemes mapped on CUDA software model. All GA elements and quality of GPU results are described in the last chapter.

Linear crane trajectory design and control
Krakovský, Jozef ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with control of linear bridge cranes using three selected methods. In theoretical part, it gives information about basic structure of each selected algorithm and basic mathematical relations. In the middle, control of algorithms is simulated using created simulation programs in MATLAB. After that, the algorithms are applied on laboratory model of linear crane and in the end all of them are evaluated according to achieved results.
Sequential growth of GaN nanocrystals on SiO2 substrate modified by FIB method
Flajšmanová, Jana ; Voborný, Stanislav (referee) ; Mach, Jindřich (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the selective growth of gallium (Ga) and gallium nitride (GaN). In theoretical part, there is a brief description of growth of ultrathin films with respect to GaN and their manufacturing. Experimental part is aimed to the deposition of Ga and GaN on silicon substrates Si(1 1 1). Substrates with the native silicon dioxide layer (SiO2) were modified by focused ion beam (FIB). GaN was deposited by pulsed deposition followed by postnitridation. Prepared samples were studied by atomic force microscope (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscope (SEM).
Fabrication of Nanostructures Using Atomic Force Microscopy
Doupal, Antonín ; Škoda, David (referee) ; Bartošík, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with fabrication of nanostructures using atomic force microscopy. The theoretical part gives a brief introduction into atomic force microscopy and local anodic oxidation and it is based on literature retrieval. The experimental part is concentrated on investigation of influence of operational parameters (tip-sample voltage, speed of the tip) on dimensions of LAO nanostructures on Si(111). Further the selective growth of cobalt and gallium on such oxide nanostructures is observed and analysed.
