Methods for the survey reinforced concrete bridges
Ehrenberger, Ondřej ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
Policies and types of diagnostic examination of a bridge. The theoretical section contains review diagnostic methods for a steel concrete frameworks. In a practical section there is made a examination of a bridge object over a river Moravia and a suggestion of the examination according to the detected defects. In the experimental section we are discovering, with a help of georadar, a location of reinforcement of a monolithic wall and board.
Gaussian Process Regression under Location Uncertainty using Monte Carlo Approximation
Ptáček, Martin
Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) is a commonstatistical framework for spatial function estimation. While itsflexibility and availability of closed-form estimation solutionafter training are its advantages, it suffers on applicabilityconstraints in scenarios with uncertain training positions. Thispaper presents the derivation of the exact GPR operating onuncertain training positions along with approximation of theresulting terms using Monte Carlo (MC) sampling. This methodis then implemented in a simulation environment and shown toimprove the estimation quality over the standard GPR approachwith uncertain training positions.
Geophysical prospection of Early Medieval settlements
Marešová, Barbora ; Valenta, Jan (advisor) ; Vošvrdová, Eliška (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on geophysical prospecting within non-destructive archaeology. To successfully carry out a geophysical survey on an archaeological site, it is important to understand the physical principles of the methods used as well as the history and characteristics of the site. This thesis aims to provide a comprehensive overview of this problem. The literature review begins with an explanation of the physical parameters that form the basis of geophysical prospecting, followed by an overview of the methods used for geophysical surveys. Finally, a practical example of geophysical prospecting is presented on the Praha-Královice site. The methodology, data processing, and interpretation of the results are also described in detail. The exploratory part of the thesis discusses how this prospecting led to the discovery of new information about the site, including the position and size of the medieval rectory. Additionally, this thesis provides a comparison of this prospecting with other published geophysical surveys of archaeological sites. Key words: geophysics, electromagnetic induction measurements, GPR, early Middle Ages, archaeology, Praha-Královice, rectory
GPR survey of the reinforcement above the long horizontal window case study: Ice ring stadium restaurant Fuchs on Štvanice Island
Válek, Jan ; Kozlovcev, Petr ; Eisler, Marek ; Dušek, Ondřej
The aim of the survey was to assess the use of Ground Penetration Radar for the reinforcement position detection on the Ice ring restaurant – an early concrete building on Štvanice Island in Prague from 1932. For this case study a potentially critical section of a façade above the app. 16 m long horizontal window was selected. GPR from IDS company equipped with 2 GHz high frequency antenna was used.
Evaluation of pavement condition by combination of FWD device and ground penetrating radar
Stryk, Josef ; Březina, Ilja ; Matula, Radek ; Grošek, Jiří ; Janků, Michal
The combination of two non-destructive diagnostic devices – the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) used to assess the bearing capacity of pavements and the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) used to determine the thickness of structural layers, to identify inhomogeneities, hidden defects and failures are increasingly being used in pavement diagnostics. The purpose of the methodology is to specify the procedure for performing measurements of combinations of these two devices, in the context of conducting a diagnostic survey of pavements. It draws attention to the benefits of processing data measured by both devices and their use in creating homogeneous sections, which serve as a basis for planning of maintenance, repair and reconstruction of roads. The presented methodology was prepared within project TE01020168 – Centre for Effective and Sustainable Transport Infrastructure (CESTI), with state support of the Czech Technology Agency within the Centre of Competence Program. This methodology is intended primarily for companies dealing with pavement diagnostic surveys

Location Aware Analytics In The Context Of Mobile Network Performance Optimization
Urbanová, Lucie
The goal of this paper is to develop an estimation tool capable of predicting location aware network parameters, based on their previous field measurements and to perform a set of additional measurements to verify the accuracy of the tool. Additionally, the paper evaluates a number of regression methods in terms of their prediction accuracy, complexity and the amount of input data needed to create a prediction map of valid results.
Music mood and emotion recognition using Music information retrieval techniques
Smělý, Pavel ; Mucha, Ján (referee) ; Kiska, Tomáš (advisor)
This work focuses on scientific area called Music Information Retrieval, more precisely it’s subdivision focusing on the recognition of emotions in music called Music Emotion Recognition. The beginning of the work deals with general overview and definition of MER, categorization of individual methods and offers a comprehensive view of this discipline. The thesis also concentrates on the selection and description of suitable parameters for the recognition of emotions, using tools openSMILE and MIRtoolbox. A freely available DEAM database was used to obtain the set of music recordings and their subjective emotional annotations. The practical part deals with the design of a static dimensional regression evaluation system for numerical prediction of musical emotions in music recordings, more precisely their position in the AV emotional space. The thesis publishes and comments on the results obtained by individual analysis of the significance of individual parameters and for the overall analysis of the prediction of the proposed model.
Location Aware Analytics in the Context of Mobile Network Performance Optimization
Using ERT and GPR in polygonal patterned ground analysis
Široký, Jakub ; Křížek, Marek (advisor) ; Hartvich, Filip (referee)
Polygonal cryogenic structures cannot be investigated with conventional methods as they could be harmed during measurement. A real3D GPR and ERT non-destructive surveys were used to examine and prove applicability for topsoil covered ice-wedge pseudomorphs and coarse-grained sorted polygons (patterned ground). A list of processing tools and algorithm suitable for such environments was created and tested. The benefits of 3D measurements are illustrated on horizontal slices and pseudo3D visualisation of 3D Cube. Basic morphometry characteristics of both forms were collected. Abilities of geophysical imaging for advanced shape characterisations are discussed, too. The low-frequency measurements gave better results at both sites. Pseudomorphs, 2 wide and up to 6,5 long, were found penetrating depth bigger than 3,5 . Sorted polygons, 2,5 wide in diameter, were depicted locked by stony ring of width around 1 . Sorting depth extends up to 0,54 depth for sure, perhaps more.
Survey and Diagnostics of Building Construction
Resl, Jaroslav ; Cikrle, Petr (referee) ; Anton, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the overview of the diagnostic methods for engineering surveys reinforced concrete constructions. The practical part explains engineering surveys of industrial building, evaluation of concrete strength on existing building and results from search reinforcements on individual elements. Next part is focused on load testing precast floor slab removed from construction and evaluation load capacity. The last part include structural design of elected parts (precast floor slab and beam).
