Negative thoughts in mothers
Janusová, Štěpánka ; Presslerová, Pavla (advisor) ; Valentová, Hana (referee)
1 ABSTRACT This thesis explores negative thoughts in mothers in the context of the early years of their first- born child's life. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three parts: the first presents the negative thoughts and accompanying emotions of mothers from the perspective of psychopathology, the second from the perspective of social psychology, and the third places them in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research part of the thesis presents the research questions, the method of interpretative phenomenological analysis, the characteristics of the research sample, data collection through semi-structured interviews and additional written questions, and it presents the findings. First, mothers experience content-similar negative thoughts that are accompanied by similar negative emotions; and furthermore, we can find similar developments over time. Second, the evolution of negative thoughts was associated with a change in their interpretations and a change in coping strategies. If mothers evaluated their negative thoughts and emotions as normal and natural, they coped better with them, managed to confide them to others and thus reduced their negative impact on the child. The perception of oneself as a good enough mother plays a key role here. Thirdly, expectations play an important...
Efficiency of Regulation on Spanish Housing Market
Hejlová, Hana ; Hlaváček, Michal (advisor) ; Doležel, Pavel (referee)
Covering reciprocal and mutually reinforcing relations between business, housing and credit cycles, the thesis assesses the Spanish housing market in its wider circumstances. With use of several conceptual notes on demand for housing, dynamic path of the house prices in Spain may be explained based on the difference in how these structural components react on changes in financial and macroeconomic environment. As a result of controlling for match of demand and supply in both timely and spatial manner empirically, expectations were included to explain the subsequent volume of housing traded on the market and simple microeconomic decision making model taking into account taxes was derived to assess the role favourable incentives might have played on fuelling the house price cycle in Spain. Next, existence of the reciprocal relations suggested by the theory discussed was confirmed empirically only during the house price upturn and asymmetry in speed of downward adjustment was found in the opposite case, pointing out at the redistribution effect abrupt changes in house prices have in time. The results derived finally allowed to assess possibilities of better employment of anti cyclical regulatory tools towards eliminating mutually enforcing powers between the cycles and avoiding both financial and...
Adequacy of a literary text for the development of reading in primary school
Šroubková, Barbora ; Hausenblas, Ondřej (advisor) ; Klumparová, Štěpánka (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the literary texts and their adequacy. It researches what features make kids books appropriate for the development of reading in the fifth grade of primary school. The attention is focused on reader's development and demands of literary texts. The action research gives the overview of one group of readers. Their favourite titles are assesed according to their adequacy. Bonnie Campbell Hill's Developmental Continuums are the main component for defining the criteria of the literary text. The selected texts considered according to their adequacy take place in a suggestion for teachers who want to deal with the level of kids books for their pupils. How to plan and then reflect the pupils reading performance with the knowledge of developmental continuums indicates the practical class.
Determination of expectations and fulfillment of self-realization of persons with spinal cord lesion at a boating tournament
Langová, Denisa ; Pavlová, Ilona (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Aim of the thesis: The aim of the diploma thesis is the analysis of a questionnaire survey before and after the implementation of a boating tourist event with people with spinal cord lesions, including the formulation of recommendations for practice, which result from this survey. How to possibly eliminate discrepancies in expectations or possible barriers in the implementation of one's own action. The obtained results will point to the perception of the whole event and also to the trends in the organization of boating events for people with spinal cord injuries. I assume that my own research will reveal the potential of positive emotions and motivation of each new participant for self-realization at outdoor events. Comparison of the results of my research with research dealing with similar research topics. Methodology: theoretical-empirical work of a qualitative nature using data collection methods: semi-structured questionnaire of own design, STAI questionnaire. Number of participants 7, age 18 and more (according to registration for the course), the participation of people with spinal cord lesions who have already completed this course in previous years and also the participation of those who have not yet participated in the river rafting course and their experience will be compared and...
Sparse restricted perception equilibrium
Audzei, Volha ; Slobodyan, Sergey
In this paper we study model selection under bounded rationality and the impact of monetary policy on the equilibrium choice of forecasting models. We use the concept of sparse rationality (developed recently by Gabaix, 2014), where paying attention to all possible variables is costly and agents can choose to over- or under-emphasize particular variables, even fully excluding some of them. Our main question is whether an initially mis-specified equilibrium (the restricted perceptions equilibrium, or RPE) is compatible with the equilibrium choice of sparse weights describing the allocation of attention to different variables by the agents inhabiting this RPE. In a simple New Keynesian model, we find that the agents stick to their initial mis-specified AR(1) forecasting model choice when monetary policy is less aggressive or inflation is more persistent. We also identify a region in the parameter space where the agents find it advantageous to pay attention to no variable at all.

School clubs from the perspective of parents and children
Bendová, Anna ; Ortová, Marie (advisor) ; Kaplánek, Michal (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with parents' und children's perceptions, opinions and expectations regarding the after school club centre of General František Fajtl DFC Grammar School and Kindergarten in the district of Prague-Letňany. The explorative part of the thesis entails a survey via questionnaires on parents' expectations and opinions how the school youth centre works. Attending children's perceptions of strengths and weaknesses of the youth centre are included as well. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses normative goals, mission, function and staff conditions of school youth centres in general and the above mentioned centre in particular. The question of mutual cooperation between parents and staff in charge is also discussed. The conclusion synthesises the main findings of both of these parts - that is, the expectations of the parents and children are compared with the theoretical groundwork and supplemented with feasible options of its implementation.
