Velešíková, Karolína ; Svoboda, Lukáš (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor) ; Daněk, Lukáš (advisor)
The subject of the Bachelor Thesis was the reconstruction of the railway station in Ústí nad Orlicí. The content of the thesis was the Documentation for Building Permits and Documentation for Building Construction, based on the architectural study, which was created in the subject AG34-Atelier of Architectural Design in the winter semester. The building is situated on the outskirts of the town of Ústí nad Orlicí, near the village Kerhatice. Tichá Orlice flows nearby, and on the northern side of the building the terrain rises into a wooded hill. The station was built in 1874. Because of spatial reasons the building was placed between two groups of tracks. At the moment the only access to the building is by underpasses or by access roads for firemen from Nádražní street. Because of the construction of the new railway station, underpasses to platforms and their repairs, the old railway station was decommissioned, but the building was saved and declared as a cultural monument. The main idea was to design an appropriate solution for the using of the old building and preserve its original appearance from the time of construction in 1874. Restore the restaurant in a single-storey building. Create residential areas for the building manager, provide temporary accommodation for travelers, locate interesting historical information about the building and linking the building to the educational trail, possible multifunctional spaces such as workshops, offices and a small shop. Also rental spaces for hairdressers and cosmetics are also available. The assignment was also a space solution next to the object that is not being maintained. Therefore, a park layout was designed which serves passengers as a relaxation zone, for children for fun. The layout is an abstraction of the sound curve of a going train.
Restoration of the monastery in Šternberk
Pruchová, Patricie ; Kocourek, Tomáš (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis was the elaboration of an architectural study and a proposal for the new use of the former Augustinian monastery in Šternberk. The former Augustinian monastery is declared a cultural monument and is located in the urban conservation area of Šternberk. The architectural study deals with the building of the monastery and modifications of the adjacent area. In the monastery building there is a spa accommodation with spa treatments, wellness, a restaurant with restaurant kitchen and a café. The wellness, restaurant and café are not only accessible to the residents but also to the public and all these functions are on the first floor. The wellness area is also on the underground floor of the monastery, where there is mainly a relaxation area with a bar and is further extended by another underground area, towards the garden of the monastery. From the underground part, access is provided to the garden, where separate outdoor sauna cells with cooling ponds are designed. Furthermore, the underground floor is used as a technical background. On the second floor there are rooms for the guests, spa treatments such as massages, beauty treatments and baths, as well as the administrative part of the hotel. On the third floor there are also rooms for guests, an examination room with facilities, exercise rooms, a ballroom, a studio, a kitchen with a day room, a virtual room and an apartment for the area manager. The design respects all the valuable elements and materials and adds a staircase in place of the original, already demolished, baroque staircase. As part of the redevelopment of the site, underground parking is proposed for residents and visitors to the restaurant, café and spa.

Vrtělová Vladařová, Anna ; Staša, Josef (advisor) ; Rajchl, Jiří (referee)
Building as a cultural monument Abstract The intention of the thesis is to try to define the building as a cultural monument from the beginning of the monument protection, before its duration, until its termination. The thesis also deals with the relations between the authorities operating in the field of monument protection. The analysis of the topic is based mainly on the legislation in force, commentaries on the legislation and case law. The graduate also included real cases in the work, which serve to better understand the issue. Monuments, specifically buildings, are an integral part of the life of every individual in a given society. It is fortunate that the Czech Republic is blessed with many buildings that are considered cultural monuments because they contain both architectural and historical values from the past. The topic is still topical because, despite many efforts to change it, the law on monuments from the 1980s is still in force and can no longer correspond to the requirements of a democratic society. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter deals mainly with an introduction to legal terms, their incorporation in legislation and subsequent legislation. The second chapter is left to the authorities active in the field of heritage conservation, their powers and relations,...

Renewal of the former coaching inn in Tišnov
Velazquez Hernandezová, Natalie ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the renewal of the cultural monument of the former coaching inn vol. Peklo in Tisnov. The subject of the proposal was the preparation of documentation for the building permit and part of the documentation for the construction on the basis of an architectural study, which was prepared in the subject AG035 Monuments renewal studio. The aim was to design the renovation of the inn, its new functional use and design a family house for the owner. My main concept is to make the inn building as intact as possible and to adapt it to the current requirements for the new content of the cultural center in combination with the preservation of valuable structures and elements. The most significant intervention in the external appearance of the building there are the those two extensions on the west facade, which hide the hygienic facilities and staff facilities. The visible above-ground extension is separated from the building by a glass connecting neck so that it is still possible to perceive the original form. The second building of the sanitary facilities is connected by an elevator to the above-ground extension, but it is located under the newly modified terrain, so only a small tube with an entrance from the lower courtyard is visibly added to the building from the exterior. The building of the newly built family house is separated from the building of the inn and embraces the existing cellar, the construction of which will be secured and cleaned and will continue to serve its purpose. The cellar will not be visible from the outside, but its value will remain preserved in the interior as a hidden treasure. This is a plot of land in the historic center of the town of Tišnov, where it was necessary to solve the separation of the private and public zones, landscaping and connection of extensions to the existing building. The proposed concept works with the division of the land into two height levels, which are linked to the histo
Restoration of the Hell inn in Tišnov
Streďanská, Lucie ; Špiller, Martin (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the preparation of documentation for building permits and part of the documentation for the construction on the basis of an architectural study, developed in the course AG35 - Restoration of Monuments Studio. The topic of this work was to find a suitable concept of a new functional use with regard to the historical nature of the monument and its technical condition. The design also included the new construction of a housing for the owners and the solution of all surrounding areas. The result was an architectural study with an emphasis on viability and feasibility. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is a gentle restoration of the building with an emphasis on its revitalization with newly incorporated functions and original expressive elements. The operation of the tasting cellar in the preserved Gothic cellar has returned to the inn. The cultural and social heart of the building became craft workshops with a shop selling handmade products and a multifunctional hall. The operation was supplemented by an accommodation unit for the building manager, this operation also includes a new extension, adjacent to the west wing, which housed the operation of a temporary warehouse on the 1st floor and the bathroom of the administrator on the 2nd floor. Last but not least, the attic of the building with a reconstructed truss was revived. This part works as a mobile and multipurpose space, which can be adapted to current needs for children's camps, as well as for lectures and reading. One of the significant characteristic elements of this work are atypical roof windows copying the curvature of the mansard roof. These windows visually connect outdoor life on the street and occasions in the attic. This expressive element is complemented by dark metal accents of the restored exterior gallery, steel frame edging of the window, illusory entrance gate and new extension.
Renewal of the baroque rectory in Sebranice
Bubeníková, Zuzana ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor) ; Sobotka, Jindřich (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is aimed at the preparation of documentation for building permits and construction, based on previous architectural study for renewal of the baroque rectory in Sebranice. The projects is focused on the application of suitable methods of the reconstruction of a cultural monument along with the proposal of a new functional utilisation of the surrounding site. The design itself is characteristic by its careful and sensitive approach towards the listed building. However, it also pursues the present methods of site creation and adds a contrasting new structure to the environment, aiming to accommodate the modern standards of comfortable utilisation. The synthetic approach of the design is prominent in the effort to recover fragments of the original state of the building, as well as using present materials and colour schemes. The final outcome of the design respects the past of the landmark, adapts it to modern requirements and prepares it for its promising future.
