Předmětem diplomové práce bylo vypracování architektonické studie a návrh nového využití objektu bývalého augustiniánského kláštera ve Šternberku. Bývalý augustiniánský klášter je prohlášen za kulturní památku a nachází se v městské památkové zóně Šternberk. Architektonická studie řeší objekt kláštera a úpravy přilehlého areálu. V objektu kláštera je nevrženo lázeňské ubytování s lázeňskými procedurami, wellness, restaurace s restaurační kuchyní a kavárna. Wellness, restaurace a kavárna jsou přístupné nejen pro ubytované, ale i pro veřejnost a všechny tyto funkce jsou v prvním nadzemní podlaží. Wellness je i v podzemním podlaží kláštera, kde je převážně odpočinková část s barem a dále je rozšířeno o další podzemní část, směrem do zahrady kláštera. Z podzemní části je umožněn přístup do zahrady, kde jsou navrhnuty samostatné venkovní buňky saun s ochlazovacími jezírky. Dále je podzemní podlaží využíváno jako technické zázemí. V druhém nadzemním podlaží jsou pokoje pro ubytované, lázeňské procedury jako jsou masáže, kosmetika a koupele a dále je tu administrativní část hotelu. Ve třetím nadzemním podlaží jsou také pokoje pro ubytované, vyšetřovna se zázemím, cvičební sály, společenský sál, ateliér, kuchyňka s denní místností, virtuální místnost a byt pro správce areálu. V návrhu jsou respektovány veškeré hodnotné prvky a materiály a dále je zde doplněno schodiště na místě původního, již zbouraného, barokního schodiště. Součástí úprav areálu je zde navrženo podzemní parkování pro ubytované a návštěvníky restaurace, kavárny a wellness. The subject of the diploma thesis was the elaboration of an architectural study and a proposal for the new use of the former Augustinian monastery in Šternberk. The former Augustinian monastery is declared a cultural monument and is located in the urban conservation area of Šternberk. The architectural study deals with the building of the monastery and modifications of the adjacent area. In the monastery building there is a spa accommodation with spa treatments, wellness, a restaurant with restaurant kitchen and a café. The wellness, restaurant and café are not only accessible to the residents but also to the public and all these functions are on the first floor. The wellness area is also on the underground floor of the monastery, where there is mainly a relaxation area with a bar and is further extended by another underground area, towards the garden of the monastery. From the underground part, access is provided to the garden, where separate outdoor sauna cells with cooling ponds are designed. Furthermore, the underground floor is used as a technical background. On the second floor there are rooms for the guests, spa treatments such as massages, beauty treatments and baths, as well as the administrative part of the hotel. On the third floor there are also rooms for guests, an examination room with facilities, exercise rooms, a ballroom, a studio, a kitchen with a day room, a virtual room and an apartment for the area manager. The design respects all the valuable elements and materials and adds a staircase in place of the original, already demolished, baroque staircase. As part of the redevelopment of the site, underground parking is proposed for residents and visitors to the restaurant, café and spa.
