The Use of Artificial Intelligence on Commodity Markets

This diploma thesis is devided into theoretic and practice parts. Theoretic part contains basic information about history and development of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) from last century till present. Prove of the theoretic section is discussed in the practice part, for example learning, training each types of topology of artificial neural networks on some specifics works. Simulation of this networks and then describing results. Aim of thesis is simulation of the active networks element controlling by artificial neural networks. It means learning, training and simulation of designed neural network. This section contains algorithm of ports switching by address with Hopfield's networks, which used solution of typical Trade Salesman Problem (TSP). Next point is to sketch problems with optimalization and their solutions. Hopfield's topology is compared with Recurrent topology of neural networks (Elman's and Layer Recurrent's topology) their main differents, their advantages and disadvantages and supposed their solution of optimalization in controlling of network's switch. From thesis experience is introduced solution with controll function of ANN in active networks elements in the future.
Handwritten text recognition using a sliding window
Ďuriš, Denis ; Povoda, Lukáš (referee) ; Rajnoha, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with optical character recognition. It focuses on recognizing hand-written text. The theoretical introduction describes the methods used for optical character recognition and selected machine learning methods. Subsequently, the work describes two methods for making cutouts of characters, using a sliding window. Cutouts are used in training and testing datasets of machine learning models. The document includes methods to improve the accuracy of character recognition. The accuracy of the models is evaluated in conclusion. Charcters in cutouts are clasified by an automated recognition program.
Human Activity Recognition Using Smartphone
Novák, Andrej ; Červenák, Rastislav (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
The increase of mobile smartphones continues to grow and with it the demand for automation and use of the most offered aspects of the phone, whether in medicine (health care and surveillance) or in user applications (automatic recognition of position, etc.). As part of this work has been created the designs and implementation of the system for the recognition of human activity on the basis of data processing from sensors of smartphones, along with the determination of the optimal parameters, recovery success rate and comparison of individual evaluation. Other benefits include a draft format and displaying numerous training set consisting of real contributions and their manual evaluation. In addition to the main benefits, the software tool was created to allow the validation of the elements of the training set and acquisition of features from this set and software, that is able with the help of deep learning to train models and then test them.
Optimization of Active Network Element Control
Přecechtěl, Roman ; Kacálek, Jan (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the use of neuronal networks for the control of telecommunication network elements. The aim of the thesis is to create a simulation model of network element with switching array with memory, in which the optimization kontrol switching array is solved by means of the neural network. All source code is created in integrated environment MATLAB. To training are used feed-forward backpropagation network. Miss achieve satisfactory result mistakes. Work apposite decision procedure given to problem and it is possible on ni tie up in an effort to find optimum solving.
Automatic detection of ischemia in ECG using artificial neural network
Noremberczyk, Adam ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Ronzhina, Marina (advisor)
This thesis discusses the utilization of the artificial neural networks (ANN) as electrocardiography (ECG) classifiers of coronary artery disease (CAD) and myocardial infarction (MI) in ECG signal. The first part of this thesis is orientated towards the theoretical knowledge and describes the issue of ECG pathological changes, methods for automatic detection of CAD and MI and the issue of the perceptron and ANN. The second deals with use of Neural Network Toolbox MATLAB® version R2010a. In graphical user interface development environment (Guide) is created application that is used to compare the success of automatic detection of ischemia in ECG using ANN. It allows the user to set various parameter settings UNS and display ECG waveforms.
Automatic evaluation of fermentation degree of cocoa beans
Smart Home: Learning Control of Heating
Parobek, Matej ; Bažout, David (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
The work deals with an intelligent control of radiator central heating. Its goal is to find and implement an AI algorithm that will enable more effective temperature control and energy savings. The work implements an algorithm based on the AI in order to predict indoor temperatures.
Combined heat and power production planning in a waste-to-energy plant using machine learning
Comparison of Classification Methods
Dočekal, Martin ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Burgetová, Ivana (advisor)
This thesis deals with a comparison of classification methods. At first, these classification methods based on machine learning are described, then a classifier comparison system is designed and implemented. This thesis also describes some classification tasks and datasets on which the designed system will be tested. The evaluation of classification tasks is done according to standard metrics. In this thesis is presented design and implementation of a classifier that is based on the principle of evolutionary algorithms.
