Quality of Life and its Regional Differentiation in the Czech Republic and in Prague / (Case Study of QOL of Praguers)
Heřmanová, Eva ; Drbohlav, Dušan (advisor) ; Illner, Michal (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (referee)
This dissertation deals with the theoretical basis of both the concept of quality of life, its development and different dimensions of meaning, as well as with the possibilities of its operationalization and quantification (of quality of life) using sets of indicators. On the basis of comparison and compilation of existing scientific geographical, sociological and socio-economic literature, then presents the major findings in this area. The methodological and practical part of the dissertation outlines the regional differentiation of the objective quality of life in the Czech Republic at the regional level. Particular attention is paid to a case study of Prague and its subjective quality of life, through the use of sociological data obtained by field survey carried out between 2004- 2006. Based on these data, the work then focuses on evaluating potential correlations between subjectively perceived quality of life of Prague citizens, their preferences and other characteristics. Conclusion of the dissertation represents a synthesis of findings based on theoretical, methodological and practical part of the work and rating of significance of each set of input hypotheses.

Zeemanův jev v polovodičových kvantových strukturách
Stráský, Josef ; Grill, Roman (advisor) ; Výborný, Karel (referee)
This theoretical thesis presents detailed study of negatively charged excitons - trions - confined in single quantum well in presence of perpendicular magnetic field. Complex valence band of GaAs/GaAlAs compound is described within Luttinger Hamiltonian framework. Singlet and triplet states of negative trion are introduced. Advanced theoretical analysis of Zeeman effect for different states of trion is performed. Landau gauge of magnetic field and unusual wavefunctions basis is chosen and its accuracy is tested. Evolution of ground state energy and photoluminescence spectra with magnetic field is evaluated for different values of Landé g-factors. Probability of occurrence of electrons with respect to the hole position and their spatial correlation function are investigated.

The Impact of Family Discipline Styles on a Career Choice of Grammer School Students
Pikhartová, Alena ; Šírová, Eva (advisor) ; Gillernová, Ilona (referee)
Since professional identity is an inseparable part of self, a career choice is one of the most important steps in life. Therefore vocational guidance is the up-to-date subject matter in counseling process. The theoretical part of the theses includes basic characteristics of development in adolescence, family characteristics, various styles of family discipline, and outputs of previous researches that deal with the impact of family on adolescents career choice. Besides that it takes into account specifics of career choice among students of a grammar school, who are the target group of the empirical part of the theses. The experimental group is formed by 62 final grades students from the grammar school in Jindichv Hradec who are in age range 18-20 years. Research results did not show any significant relation between style of family discipline and further vocational orientation of students. The only significant correlation was proved for emotional relationship between a father and a child and their level of communication about choosing a college and future vocation. Further findings point to correlation between parents expectation, their level of education and their childs career choice. These findings support conclusions made by previous researches. It was found out that girls have slightly less certitude...

The long-term trends in numbers and distribution of birds in the Czech Republic
Gebauer Fialová, Adéla ; Musil, Petr (advisor) ; Fuchs, Roman (referee)
The long-term changes in distribution and numbers of bird species in the Czech Republic were analysed using published data from Breeding Birds Atlases in the Czech Republic (1973-77, 1985-89 and 2001-03). Each species were categorized by taxonomical group, migratory strategies, biogeography type, breeding habitat, breeding population size in Europe and in the Czech Republic a body size. The changes in numbers and changes in distribution were inter-correlated Increase in distribution as well as in numbers were recorded in rare and large species, in species increasing in whole Europe and in bird species protected under Czech legislation. Interesting pattern in population was found in waterbirds, where piscivorous species are increasing, whereas other (mostly grebes, ducks etc.) species are decreasing.

Cause of selection and longevity of freely stabled cows
VOCHOZKOVÁ, Šárka
Longevity of cows in a large scale production technology affects the drove turnover and raising economy. Another important elements in a good raising economy are reproduction and performance. The goal of the research was to find out the health conditions of cows, their reproduction and longevity. The research took place in ZOD Kolný. Milk efficiency, reproduction, health condition and selection of animals were monitored on 330 cows from race Holštýn and Česká straka in 2006-2007. Obtained data have been processed by variance analysis and correlation analysis in Microsoft Excel programme. Dairycows were stabled in a free box stable. The basic feed ration was canned roughage with a pithy supplement. We have observed teh health condition of dairycows, causes of setting cows aside, longevity, servis period, between-calving interval and efficiency. The average data were compared in the light of lactation lactation. Obtained data were also compared with records from the Czech republic. The research has found out that in a dairycow drove with average efficiency 7 584,5 kg there have been 3583 veterinary interventions executed on 270 monitored cows, but 3322 from that have been interventions related to reproduction failures. The whole number of dairycows set aside while researching was 142. The main causes of settin cows aside were the reproduction failures(13,03%) and the lacteal gland inflamations (7,8%). The age analysis has shown that only 24,2% of cows are on 4th and higher lactation. Most cows are on the 2nd lactation (100 heads). There we could see the heads descent ply down to the 8th lactation, were there are only 3 dams. The average servis period was 167,03 days. There were over 85% of dairycows with unsatisfactory servis period (over 75 days). 58,14% of dairycows got over 120 day limit. These data in comparison with the whole czech rate, where the servis period is 125,8 days, show the servis period 41,5 days longer. The average interval lenght was 42,7 days, which is 17,3 days longer than the republic average in 2006. Economical deprivation caused by the servis period prolongation were 3921,26 Kč per cow. Altough the profit with 104 Kč spending on one day was along with average milk yield 7 548,50 Kč 39 789,55 Kč per caw per year. So if a cow with an average milk eficiency (consodering it´s lactation) would live until the 7th lactation, it will earn 289 323,30 Kč in it´s whole life.

Finanční ohodnocení krásy krajiny - metoda CVM
Cudlínová, Eva ; Lapka, Miloslav
Evaluation of landscape amenity is not very common and relatively difficult from the economic point of view. In our case study focused on comparing aesthetic preferences of Czech and Japan respondents regarding rural landscape. We used the contingent valuation method. We also wanted to reveal the respondent’s preferences in a financial form. These preferences served us as quantitative indicator for an attestation of the respondent’s qualitative preferences. It seemed that a strong correlation between the aesthetical and financial evaluation exist in two extreme cases – respondents were not interested, or they were strongly involved in landscape amenity. A substantial difference occured between the Czech and Japanese respondents in the case of case of open or closed access to the landscape.

Vliv odrůd ječmene na úroveň technologických znaků
Podsedková, Eva
Abstrakt I'm introducing the presentation which evaluates the effect of species, location and annuality to the basic technological characteristics of malting barley ( crude protein content in grain of barley, wort extract content , relative extract at 45 ° C , diastatic power , final attenuation , friabilitity , the content of beta - glucans in wort and wort viscosity ) . The kind of species affected more than 50 % and more of the friability and beta-glucans ,and more than 40 % relative diastatic power of the extract at 45 ° C and the attainable degree of fermentation. Extract in the wort was affected by species only from 22%. The location affected mostly a crude protein content (26 %). The content of the extract in the wort was significantly influenced by annuality (42 %). The known relationships between the relative extract at 45 ° C and Kolbach's number, friability and content of beta - glucan in wort , crude protein extract and wort, were confirmed again . Also, very strong correlations were found between characters showing the cytolytic and proteolytic modification.

The Fruit Beers Popularity in the Czech Republic
Balaštík, Milan ; Maier, Tomáš (advisor) ; Lukáš, Lukáš (referee)
The main topic of this thesis is the popularity of fruit beers in the Czech Republic. It describes a generic distribution of fruit beers, both abroad and in our country. It focuses on the current situation flavored beer on domestic and foreign markets, according to the latest data. Based on the survey are analyzed consumer preferences in the domestic market. They are then formulated breweries general recommendations arising from the outcomes of the survey. Subsequently, using basic statistical methods detected significant correlation between the consumption of flavored beers and gender and between consumption and age of respondents. If so, then it determines the strength of this dependence. It was found that while significant correlation was demonstrated in sex exists between consumption and age of the respondents. The strength of this dependence was assessed as moderate. It was finally drafted forecast consumption of mixed drinks based on beer in the Czech Republic. The analyzed time series contained the actual annual data maintained by the Czech Beer and Malt Association from 2012 to 2015. The forecast was calculated for the next two years. It was found that consumption of mixed drinks based on beer in the future will continue to decline.

Shamina, Yana ; Machková, Hana (advisor) ; Klosová, Anna (referee) ; Přikrylová, Jana (referee)
The world of luxury products for many years was reserved only for the selective and exclusive audience. It looked like it was impossible to experience it or to get in for someone from outside. Marketers of luxury brands have created such an environment where clients could feel exclusivity and enjoy timeless quality, values, history and heritage of the brand. It is very important to maintain the traditional values for luxury brands but in order to stay in touch with the target audience, luxury producers have to face and adapt to rapidly changing environment. There are a lot of debates about comparability of the Internet and luxury, as digital world is too impersonal comparing with core competence of luxury: exclusivity, outstanding experience and human touch in everything including craftsmanship, personal selling and customer relations. In current environment luxury companies cannot ignore the importance of the Internet as a communication and transaction tool and have to stay in touch with its target audience. The main contribution of this dissertation thesis is an analytical framework "features of importance for online luxury consumer satisfaction" that will help luxury marketers to understand online luxury consumers, their motivations, behavior and preferences. Additionally, framework presents the up-to-date data that can be executed while creating digital marketing communications strategy. The influence of content, social, process and technology gratifications on the online luxury consumer satisfaction was investigated. By incorporating the quantitative approach it was possible to make a deep analysis of the research problem. To obtain the necessary data the group structured questionnaire was used to analyze the proposed research model. A total of 133 respondents were accepted for the investigation. Analysis of correlation proved the positive relation between gratifications and luxury consumer satisfaction, even thought, proposed gratifications had different influence on the satisfaction. Content and technology gratifications had the most strong and positive influence on the satisfaction. However, from the obtained results it is visible that social gratification had the least important but still positive effect on the luxury consumer satisfaction. The obtained results are a valuable asset for the luxury companies as research revealed the main directions and themes on which luxury marketers should stress while creating online communication strategies.
