Management of risks during recruitment and selection of teaching staff

Human factor creates the greatest risk when working with people. Above all, to give a good example for future generations, it is necessary to select preschool teachers carefully. However, the role teachers play is not only to present a good example for children but to be also a colleague and team worker. Pre-school teachers are required to possess professional and personality competences. Therefore the process of recruitment and selection of teaching staff (followed by their adaptation in preschools) is one of the most important and difficult things in personnel management. Key staff, mangers and personnel officers are in charge of this process. It is highly important to be able to identify, evaluate and eliminate possible risks in the course of all recruitment process. To eliminate such risks is fundamental not only for key staff in education system. The aim of the paper is to define particular measures of prevention arising form identification and evaluation of possible risks during recruitment and selection of teaching staff school education, taking into account their future incorporation into the process of education. Teacher assistant competences

Thesis "Teacher assistant competences" responds to growing number of teacher assistants in educational system and reflects still remaining ambiguities in delineating requirements on assistants' services and activities. The objective of thesis is on the basis of empirical findings define the basic competences of teacher assistant working in a regular basic school. In its theoretical part thesis works with legislative norms specifying the role of teacher assistant and with findings of relevant researches. The explorative part of thesis is based on qualitatively orientated methodology and processes data from eighty interviews realized with assistants, teachers, principals and pupils with special educational needs from twenty basic mainstream schools. Data in research were processed by classification, coding and schematization with using the form of framework analysis. Financial education mechanism of handicapped pupils at secondary schools

The thesis deals with problems of disabled pupils'education financing at secondary schools. Its aim is to create the integral survey about the disabled pupils'schooling, to compare and analyse normative financing of the most expanded educational specialization in accordance with regions. Theoretical part includes national educational concepts and programs directed at handicapped pupils. Besides detailed characterization of the health troubles'single types there are also described institutial schooling and normative financing of handicapped pupils. There are the analysed reports of MŠMT (Ministry of education and youth's psychical education) about handicapped pupils at the research part. Charts and graphs contain datas of pupils in the Czech republic according to health trouble's type, number of pupils at special classrooms and of integrated pupils during 2007-2012. The inseparable component of the research there is survey of pupils'schooling in accordance with the schools'promoters. Conclusion is devoted to detailed comparison of normative financing of the most expanded educational specialization 65-51-E/01 Stravovací a ubytovací služby (The board and accommodational service) in the first place for mental disabled pupils and pupils suffering with developmental disorders of learning and behaviour.
Legal aspects of the competency of teachers in the context of school management

The final bachelor's thesis deals with problems of qualification and educating nursery schools pedagogical workers. It also deals with work of nursery schools headmasters in the area of administration (creating conditions for studying and organizing working of nursery schools during teachers' learning). It is also aimed at finding connections between interest in learning and proposed career code. It results from the research of relevant legal directives, professional literature dealing with learning abilities, pedagogical workers competencies and their gaining; further it results from electronic documents, contributions and articles dedicated to the issues of education and it also results from proposed career code issue for pedagogical workers. The thesis is based on results analysis of a research that was aimed towards nursery schools headmasters and pedagogical workers in Pelhřimov region. The thesis brings information on erudition of nursery schools teachers in Pelhřimov region and their interest in further education in relation to proposed career code. Further on it brings information on creating conditions for educating teachers of nursery schools in Pelhřimov region by their headmasters and organizing working of the school during teachers' learning.
Issue of taking leave for teaching and non-teaching staff

This bachelor degree thesis deals with the planning of annual leave for teaching and non-teaching staff and with their taking leave in different types of schools and educational establishments in the district of Havlíčkův Brod run by municipalities, in relation to valid legal regulations. It is based on the assumption that annual leave is planned for the purpose of using up all leave of all employees in the year when they are entitled to take it. The thesis summarizes the reasons for which not all annual leave is taken, looks at the compliance with legal regulations and tries to find out in which parts of schools and in which categories of staff the biggest problems with taking annual leave arise and how this affects the school budget. The results of the research survey could be applied in the vocational education of headmasters and headmistresses.
Legal Knowledge of the Primary School's Director

This bachelor thesis is aimed at legal consciousness of primary school management. Basic legal concepts in the area of educational legislation that should be known to all school headmasters are given. The position of school headmaster in the current school system is discussed as well as his/her role based on school legislation and legal norms. Research has been focused on verification of skills and knowledge in the area of educational legislation of head teachers, mapping current situation of their involvement in labour-law relations and exploring the way statutory regulations are acknowledged, applied in practice, passed on to subordinates and how frequent changes in legislation are met. For clarity the results are presented graphically.

We describe the principles of their cooperation in term of rights of the child and his social-law protection, due to the Act No. 359/199 Coll., social-law protection of children and due to the Decree No. 72/2005 Coll., providing counselling services in schools and school counselling institutions. Simultaneously we are opening the topic of possible moral dilemmas which can the teacher deal with in term of social-law protection of the student. Int he second half we evaluate the results of empirical investigation. The quantitative survey was conducted by questionnaire method in 7 primary schools in Prague. Its main purpose was to chart the extent of primary teachers knowledge about The office for social-law protection of children, to find out what quality is this cooperation and to compare the situation at practical primary schools and mainstream primary schools. Status and Education of Headmasters in the historical context

This diploma thesis deals with the areas of the position and education of head teachers in the historical context. It views the development of head teaching professions on our territory in individual periods and also presents the picture of head teachers' education. The thesis provides information which deal with the development of the society in the relationship towards education and also respecting individual participants of the education and upbringing processes. In the thesis selected monographs, expert texts, laws, legal regulations and school documents are used. The findings were compiled into thematic units arranged chronologically and according to historical development. The contribution of this thesis is to create a brief overview of the development of the head teacher's position which will be possible to be used for a more detailed study of the subject field. Development of the teaching staff cooperation at a primary art school

The diploma thesis deals with the problematics of cooperation among pedagogical employees from the point of view of executives of an elementary art school. It is devided into a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part specifies the concept of cooperation, sets it in the conditions of the elementary art school and describes the possibilities of cooperation control as well as approaches of the executives. Further it deals with concepts which influence the cooperation process, competences of the executives, organization structure and gender of the school director. The empirical part refers to a quantitative research which principle is questionnaire investigation of an accidentally chosen sample of directors of elementary art schools. The results of this investigation are further confirmed by interviews with the school directors and consequently with teachers. The subject of research are two experiments verifying the application of cooperation forms on this type of schools and observation of the cooperation process at the school of researcher's operation. A part of the thesis is also the overview of the results of used research methods. These are further analysed based on given hypotheses.
