The theme of Christmas mediated in kindergarten through the work with a book

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of Christmas mediated to children in kindergarten through work with a book. The theoretical part is focused on explaining the terminology, namely the concepts of reading, reading literacy, and reading pre-literacy. The following chapters reflect the areas that need to be developed in children, so that they can read well, with understanding and with joy in the future; the chapters reveal the influence that fairy tales have on preschool children and how emotional intelligence can be developed with reading pre-literacy. As kindergartens must follow the Framework Education Programme for Preschool Education, one of the chapters is also devoted to the analysis of this document in connection with the topic of this thesis. Since the development of the reading pre-literacy is built through reading strategies and RWCT methods, they are discussed in the theoretical part. Also, the lessons presented in the practical part used the reading strategies and the RWCT methods. The theoretical part concludes with a chapter about annotations of selected quality children's books on the Christmas topic. Activating teaching methods in teaching process of music education

This diploma thesis deals with activating teaching methods and their application into a teaching process in music education. The theoretical part deals with specific methods; e.g. comics, pantomime, reflection, visualization of listening activities, live pictures, or didactic games. The choice of selected methods depends on the particular class sample in which the methods of music education were used. Besides that, it reflects the range of the thesis itself. The practical part focuses on the implementation of activating methods in the educational process. The research was realized at the first stage of elementary education, the classes and activating methods were chosen to cover all the grades. The age of middle childhood has typical features which are essential for the development of musical skill and abilities. The range of the first stage of elementary schools is beneficial for the full implementation of the methods into music lessons. The end of the thesis brings some examples of materials showing how to work with these methods in the music education process. The working sheets are meant for students of music education and other courses as a source of inspiration helping with cross-curricular cooperation.
Director of Czechoslovak Radio Jiří Horčička

This bachelor thesis aims to describe the life and work of the director of Czechoslovak Radio (and later Czech Radio) Jiří Horčička. In the first part, the author briefly presents the history of Czechoslovak Radio and explains the contemporary context in which Jiří Horčička worked. The author pays special attention to the artistic field in the radio. Furthermore, the work briefly deals with the development of Czech radio drama and mentions the most important milestones in its history. The most important part of the work is devoted to the life and work of the director. The author deals with Horčička's childhood and his radio beginnings (for example, working in Disman's Radio Children's Ensemble). The work describes Horčička's directorial beginnings and is especially devoted to his first major work, the dramatization of Čapek's War with the Newts. It shows the beginning of Horčička's promotion of a new style in the development of modern radio production. At the same time, the work reflects the achievements of Czech radiophony in the 1960s at home and abroad. The author then devotes to the director's work during normalization and his staging of works of classical literature. DIRECTING ONE’S OWN PLAY, ADAPTATION OR TRANSLATION AS WELL AS REGULAR DRAMATIC TEXT

Tomáš Loužný’s Bachelor Thesis follows foundations of his directing work both inside and outside of the realm of school projects. Meanwhile,two basic approaches to the text are being analyzed. First approach could be called interpretational and the second one authorial. The latter includes adaptations of a theatre plays as well as novels. In the first part the key concepts upon which the thesis is built are introduced. Second part comprises of a closer analysis of three productions: Její pastorkyňe (Her Stepdaughter), school production from rural realism, bachelor production of the theatre play Nevinní jsou nevinní (Innocent Are Innocent) and direction of the adaptation of the novel The Confusions of Young Törless, renamed to Synáčci (Mummy’s Boys). Preparatory phase is emhasized. The author mentions rehearsal process itself as well, with the intention to analyze the influence it had on his future approach to directing. He concludes with the question that implicitly appears in all of the chapters: What is actually the difference between adaptation and dramatization?
Transposition of the novel into theatrical and than to film adaptation

This thesis examines the semiotic rules and processes of the transfer of the original novel into a theatrical script, and then into screenplay of the film, with practical examples from the novel The Karamazov Brothers by F. M. Dostojevskij, screenplay Karamazov of author Evald Schorm and the film script by Petr Zelenka. It focuses on the processes of dramatization, shows communication models and compares mainly text form of screenplays. Using Theatre as a Didactic Tool for History Lessons in the Pays de la Loire Region

Klára Paseková Abstract This thesis describes the advantages of using theater play as a didactic tool for history teaching, with specific examples from the area of Pays de la Loire, France. The special role of school externist in the context of French schools is introduced, as well as the specific place of drama play as a motivational and educational tool in connection with the subject of history. Using the example of the play Mystère sur les quais de Nantes, the usefulness of the theater play for explaining complex history concept is demonstrated. Materials for history teachers include preparation instructions, the play itself and materials for subsequent discussion session with the author Mme Le Fahler and workshop. Further analysis illustrates the specifics of creating a play for the purpose of teaching history. Mikulášek's productions Europeana and Trapná muka

The thesis' subject is an analysis of two productions by one of the most distinct Czech theatre directors, Jan Mikulášek. Based on her own experiences as a spectator, reviews and analyses in newspapers and theatre magazines, the authoress attempted to describe and analyse the stylistic features of Mikulášek's stage directions, using Trapná muka and Europeana as examples. Since both of the productions are based on originally non-dramatic texts, the thesis will also deal with the strategies of adaptation in addition to stage direction, acting and the visual and musical components. In the analysises of the productions are also included the contexts of the formation of the originál books and also the productions. In the end the thesis aims at a comparison of both productions and points to various differences which appear within the coherent directorial style common to both productions.
František Kožík's Biograpfical novels about Zdenka Braunerová Compared to the extant correspondence

BRAUNOVÁ, L.: František Kožík's biographical novels about Zdenka Braunerová compared to the extant correspondence /Master Degree Thesis/ Prague 2014, Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Education, Departement of the Czech Literature. This Master Degree Thesis compares Kožík's novels Na křídle větrného mlýna and Neklidné babí léto with the extant correspondence, which is used in different ways in both novels. The starting point was extensive research, which provided a precise undertanding of the author's intentions. The goal was to find out how the author forms the characters and their relationship using sources, especially the correspondence. At the same time this thesis delineates the difference between facts and fiction with an example of Kožík's novels.
Use of a literary text in the drama project

Title Use of a literary text in a dramatic project Summary The work deals in its theoretical part with definition of dramaturgy; means, approaches and methodology of creative dramaturgy. What is more, it deals with possibility of using the literature (fairytale) in work with prep school children. The practical part deals with a project, which applies the fairytale text in dramaturgy in educational announcement of a prep school. It applies different dramatics, feelings and sense, pantomimic and other plays during February. The project is finally assessed with focus on affectivity of applied means, approaches and methodology of creative dramaturgy with respect to personality of the prep school children. Daniel Keyes: Flowers for Algernon - Czech translations and dramatizations

The thesis looks at the Czech life of the Flowers for Algernon short story written by Daniel Keyes. It aims to present an analytical comparison of the short story translations and dramatizations created in the Czech cultural environment and to define their invariants. The theoretical part of the thesis informs the reader about the life and work of Daniel Keyes and depicts the process of creation of the short story in question. Furthermore, it outlines its main themes and stylistic features, as well as its reception both in the U. S. and abroad. Special attention is paid to the reception in Czechoslovakia, or rather the Czech Republic, namely to the two short story translations (Černý, 1976; Markus, 2003) and the three original dramatizations (Říhová, 1988; Hruška, 1993; Heger, 2010). All pieces of work are presented in their broader socio-cultural context, with due regard to their authors. This contextualisation lays the foundations for the subsequent translatological analysis, which is based on Gideon Toury's descriptive model (1995). In accordance with Toury, the Czech short stories are seen as products of the target culture.
