Renovation of escalator
Kobzík, Martin ; Šebesta, Luděk (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
This master's thesis covers the construction analysis of an escalator by the Otis a.s. company and the conception of its modernization called "In-truss".This type of modernization consists in preserving the supporting construction of the 506-type escalator into which the components of newer 506-NCE series are to be built in. Such operation requires modifying the construction and creating adaptors used to anchor the new components to it. These modifications lead to the stress testing of the construction, that is done by using the finite elements method in NX-Ideas software. The thesis contains the design of selected subsystems of the escalator, the stress testing of the new supporting construction and the creation of volume model in CREO-Parametric application for further use.
Stress, strength and strain analysis of the crane truss construction.
Nedělka, Pavel ; Borák, Libor (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with stress, strength and strain analysis of the plane crane truss construction. The aim of this work is the calculation of forces for the simple frame with the help of joint equilibrium equations. These forces will be modified by further construction treatment. This treatment turns the simply frame into the hyperstatic system. The obtained values data are the input data for the design of geometry of particular bars. The unknown dimensions will be determined by two strenght limit states. These limits are: limit state of elasticity and limit state of stability. Then we will make the strain analysis. It will determine the displacement in the action of the force, the effect of actual clearance as well as the brace failury effect to the construction safety. Further will be determined the influence of the weight of the construction to the strenght.

Multipurpose Sport Hall
Jakubíček, Tomáš ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)
I designed supporting structure of roofing for multipurpose sports hall located in Pardubice. Building height is 15 meters and the other two dimensions are 50x80 meters. It is an arched truss construction, which is located above the roof deck. The arch is asymmetrically supported with a height difference of supports 6.5 m. The actual frame is made out of steel S355 and is formed by circular profiles. The solution chosen offers free ceiling inside the hall and shows the supporting structures. Part of my bachelor thesis was to made static calculations and drawings.
Stress-strain analysis of the bar system
Pop, Miroslav ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Houfek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of rod systems, which represent a special type of construction widely used in the building and mechanical industry. In the introductory part is presented a theoretical basis and methods of static solution of rod systems are described, then it is described stress of rod systems and are derived relations that were subsequently used for the calculation of the specific example. In the practical part, the thesis deals with the analytical calculation of the planar rod system in shape of a power line pylon, for which the cross-sections of the members are designed and the magnitude of the stresses and deformation displacements are calculated. For the calculation, the general method of joints was used and cross sections were designed with respect to the elastic limit state and the buckling stability limit state. At the end of the work, the results of the analytical calculation were verified with numerical solution in software ANSYS Workbench.
Arpitha - hippocentre Podolí u Brna
Čermák, Martin ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor) ; Sobotka, Jindřich (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is based on the project of the Hippocentre, or training center for horses, processed in the third semester of the bachelor's study. The equestrian center is designed on a plot in the village of Podolí near Brno. It is a plot of land on the outskirts of the village next to the agricultural cooperative. The designed area is divided into several operating units. In the northern part of the plot there is a technical section, where the supply of hay, manure removal, horse loading and also the parking of the necessary equipment for the operation will take place. The technical part is separated from the public by the stables and warehouse buildings, but the connection through the passage between the buildings is maintained. Public traffic is located in the middle of the plot. At the entrance to the complex, it is possible to park the vehicle in 9 parking spaces. The car park is connected to the clubhouse with an outdoor terrace, where there is a buffet to serve visitors. In the basement there is a sauna with a private outdoor area overlooking the horse paddocks. The most dominant element of the area is the riding hall, which has a separate entrance for the public and for employees and horses. The entrance is directly connected to the outdoor riding area for warming up the horse before the performance. In the lower part there is a path to the paddocks with a circle. The equestrian center is designed to meet the requirements of running with such specific animals as horses, but at the same time the public is integrated here when organizing social events, races or children's camps.
Napjatostně deformační analýza silničního mostu přes řeku Orlici
Adamec, Tomáš ; Hájek, Petr (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
The main topic of this thesis is stress and strain analysis of road bridge over the river Orlice in Třebechovice pod Orebem. First point of the thesis is theoretical introduction to trusses and solid mechanics. Second point is describing the geometry of the bridge. Third point is creation of a 2D truss model, load of the model and description of computational algorithm. Fourth part is calculation and interpretation of results. Fifth point is verification of the fourth part. Sixth point is description of 3D truss calculation.
Swimming Centre Brno
Sobočíková, Petra ; Fišer, Jiří (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Ladislav (advisor)
The swimming center is located on the very end of the district Brno – Zidenice on the slightly sloping parcel with irregular shape. As a reaction to the proportions of the lot, the mass of the building can be described as a complex of two blocks which creates “v” form. In the one of the wing there is a swimming center with the light height of two floors. In the second section, the fitness is placed on the first floor and the wellness on the second floor. Entrance hall with a reception desk is the main connecting element from which you can enter all of the described areas. There is also a staircase and an elevator for an access to the second storey. On this level it is possible to walk on a gallery that allows visitors to enter wellness, snack bar or office but optical connection with lower floor as well. The roof above the swimming pool is proposed as made of wood tie beams. It is creating sloped surface that helps building to merge with surround. The rest of the construction is proposed from a reinforced concrete with an additional truss construction. Façade is designed from perforated metal plates in combination with glass façade.
Sports and Relaxation Centre Za Lužánkami, Brno
Julínek, Roman ; Kotek, arch Jakub (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
The architectural-urban study of the sports and recreational centre Za Lužánkami in Brno deals with the complex design of the sports and recreational complex. At present, the area of the former Boby Centre is in a poor condition. Fully functioning buildings in the area are a hotel, a concert hall and a tennis hall with outdoor courts, while the remaining buildings and areas, led by the football stadium, are dilapidated and do not fulfil their potential for public life. I approached the assignment as a solution to a complicated problem with many variables. The design provides a clear definition and morphology of the buildings, living, sports and recreational areas, including green spaces. It helps to social interaction and induce new contacts between people. It addresses the needs of current and future generations of residents. Connects and links to the transport infrastructure of the neighbourhood at all levels. Refers to the past and thus preserves in all respect the famous sporting genius of the locus to which it adds its own distinctive added value. Based on the design concept, a study has been carried out that takes advantage of a quality site in an attractive location in the city and offers a range of sports and recreational facilities. The main idea behind the design was to connect and relate the area to its surroundings. To offer a high quality public realm that will appeal to as many residents as possible across all generations through its range of functions and focus. Proportionate to its size and importance, several masses and objects were designed to divide the large area into smaller interconnected units. Each area has its own face, its own content and its own typical atmosphere that will win over its users. A good public space can be recognised by the way its users treat it. It becomes a mirror of society. If the design listens to the wishes and needs of the majority of the inhabitants, it becomes useful and sustainable at any time.
