Mojžíšová, Markéta ; Frombergerová, Anna (advisor) ; Vítková Rulíková, Klára (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the transition from home-schooling to school. It also focuses on how the transition affects the student's well-being. The aim of the qualitative research was to describe how former home-schoolers experience the transition, what changes are associated with the transition and whether there is something that could facilitate the transition and adaptation to school. Semi-structured interviews were chosen as a method of data collection. Six interviews with former home-schoolers were carried out. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis. The aim of the analysis was to identify the main themes that emerged in connection with the transition to school. The results of the research indicate that the transition from home-schooling to school is a challenging event that is accompanied by a large number of changes. The biggest changes involve the student finding himself/herself in a group and in a new environment that has different rules than those to which he/she was used to. Everyone reacts differently to the changes and the respondents varied in terms of whether the changes and the transition were stressful and difficult for them, or whether they adapted to school quickly and without major complications. The results of the work also present options for supporting students who...

Duchoňová, Denisa
This bachelor thesis deals with comparison of home education in Czechia and Chile. The aim was to compare chosen countries in their legislative framework of home education, in control mechanisms verifying results of this form of education an also to compare motives of parents that led them to choose this alternative for their children. Material for the comparison was obtained from literature research in Czech, English and Spanish. Motives leading parents to choose home education gained from the literature research were addictionally complemented with illustrative case study. Study was realized through semi-structured online video interviews with two female respondents who have direct personal experience with home education of their offsprings. Each respondent represented one chosen country, so the first respondent was from Czechia and the second one from Chile. Answers to the research questions were summarized in the assessment of matches and differences using the classification scale. Average evaluation of all the compared characteristics was evaluated as good, which means that chosen countries are partly matching and partly different in all compared characteristics. The final classification sententiously expresses mutual relations between all compared characteristics, because both compared countries have huge specifics in terms of home education. Both countries also have significant matches, mainly in the area of motives that led parents to choose this form of education for their offsprings where is the biggest match ratio.

Options and forms of on-line lessons for lower secondary school
HRUŠKOVÁ, Veronika
This diploma thesis deals with the options and types of online teaching in middle schools. In the theoretical part, the topic of online teaching is presented as an alternative form of education, which is currently preferred when schools are often closed, even though the alternative has not been sufficiently examined. Additionally, there is an overview of the tools and technologies available for this type of teaching. Furthermore, application options for middle schools are presented using the author's tools, the Internet, and learning management systems. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the specific experiences of middle school teachers, obtained using a questionnaire survey with an emphasis on the concrete cases of using online teaching tools in practice. For example, it deals with which e-learning materials are the most effective in online teaching and lead to the active participation of students. My thesis deals with level of socially emotional competence of home educated children. In theoretical part I present concept of individual education and disputation of various authors on this subject, characterize development period of young school age and present theoretical delimitation of both test methods that I use for data collection. Empirical part consist of elaborate comparison of output of two groups of children aged 8 - 10 years, each group consist of 5 respondents. First group is constituted of children that are home educated more than one year. Second group include children attending regular educational institution and meet the conditions I determined for pair comparison. Main methods for data collection are the Intelligence and Development Scales (IDS) and my own initiative material made of seven photographs, that are evaluated with the Scale of Social Orientation (SOS). Results are processed qualitatively. I compare individual pair of children from exploratory and control group followed by summary comparison. Then I analyze content of answers. Acquired results don't imply any significant differences in performance of exploratory and control group. KEYWORDS homeschooling, social emotional competencies, younger school age, test IDS, the Scale of Social Orientation
