Kudrnová, Pavlína ; Rychtaříková, Jitka (advisor) ; Kocourková, Jiřina (referee)
Second child from international perspective Abstract The main aim of this thesis is a comparative analysis of the second child in Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia. The main tool of this analysis are period fertility tables for the years 1991-2007. Theories why people want children and factors influencing the decision of starting a family and its size are mentioned in the first part. Furthermore, the text focuses on the comparison of family conditions and environment in each country which turned out to be the most friendly in Sweden and the Netherlands. The main part, the analysis of the second child, shows more significant changes in the Czech Republic and Slovakia than in other countries during the period - both in shifting childbearing to higher age of women and reducing the levels of period and cohort fertility or in the probability of having a second child. The results point out the incipient signs of loss of the prominent position of the second child and two-child family, especially in the Central European counties. Keywords: the second child, fertility, period fertility tables, the probability of having a second child, a family

The theoretical part describes both, the family and school, as an educational institution, defines these concepts from the legislative and pedagogoical point of view. It proceeds further with showing the historical development and its logical continuation in contemporary tendencies to build up the relationship between family and school, which can happen in two ways; the first possibility is to view the position of the teacher as the dominant person in the process, another possibility is democratic, humanistic, child-oriented. The latter attitude is presented as "Step by step" (literally "Staring together"in the Czech usage). The empirical part brings up the author's actual research work, suggesting strategies and possibilities of partnership between parents and school, in the alternative offer of activites devised to involve the family into the educational process. The parents can choose according to their actual possibilities. This offer is reflected on the basis of the standards of the document "Competent Educators of the 21st Century" Principles of Quality Pedagogy. Furtheron, validity of the assertion "If the...

Nováková, Kateřina ; Hůla, Zdenek (advisor) ; Špičková, Kateřina (referee)
My thesis concentrates on the game, the playfulness and the toy. At first, I was searching for where these topics were most common and how they effected our lives generally. I presented some of the definitions. Then I worked more with these definitions and I put them into a connection with the art and the padegogy. Later I made a separated point of the role of the game, the playfulness and the toy in the visual art. I introduced some artist, who have been using the topics of mainly the game and the playfulness in their art work. The toy was presented more like the theme of the art works. The final part concentrates on the visual art project, which is prepared for children at age eight to ten years. One of the range was introduced deeply. n this range present individual lessons, one of them is showed in detail. This lesson is named The painting by the soap bubbles and I had been taught it at The basic art school Na Proseku. After this lesson I wrote reflection of it. Whole thesis is ilustrated by the pictures. In the conclusion I try to summarize knowledge I reached.
