Critical issues in Czech language teaching at lower secondary education
Baloušová, Lucie
The dissertation focuses on critical aspects of teaching syntax in the 7th grade of primary school. The topic of didactic processing of syntax has resonated among linguodidactics and teachers for years. A primary reason for focusing on syntax teaching is the absence of research and more comprehensive handling of critical teaching points in syntactic education. The current trend in Czech language didactics is aimed at developing students' communicative competence, enabling them to make conscious choices of linguistic resources to achieve their communicative intent. This choice should be appropriate for the communication situation. Therefore, our dissertation research focused on teaching syntax, which plays a key role in this aspect. Through experimental research, we observed Czech language lessons (specifically syntax lessons) at various Prague primary schools, made audio recordings of these lessons, and took field notes. Considering the second semester of the 7th grade and the topics taught according to the available educational programs, we obtained a balanced material that included lessons on sentence members and subordinate clauses. The research also included an analysis of curricular materials and textbooks, focusing on the communicative aspect. The collected research material was then...

The secondary aim was to compare the measured values between boys and girls. Methodology: Testing was conducted using a quantitative research method through the disciplines of the "Odznak všestrannosti" in physical education classes. In total, students were tested in 10 disciplines. The data obtained from the testing was recorded in tables, then statistically processed and evaluated by programme MS Excel. Results: Investigated file consisted of 46 boys and 59 girls. Of the total number of boys, 30 % were successful, with the category born in 2013 performing best in terms of number and value of badges earned. Only 9 % of boys performed above average in terms of achieving a better than bronze badge. A total of 28 % of students achieved below...
Reflection on the concept of reproductive health education in primary education.
Scheithauerová, Lenka ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Šulová, Lenka (referee) ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (referee)
The research yielded in the field fails to explain how reproductive health educa-tion has been implemented in primary schools during the 1990s, and how it ful-filled the initial expectations with which it was introduced, from the perspective of its participants. The objective of the presented dissertation is to propose further potential steps towards the advancement of this domain and to identify topics suitable for further research in the field of reproductive health education on the basis of a survey of available sources, current research and presented re-search. The project examines the issue through the perspective of respondents from two countries: the Czech Republic and Spain. These two European nations implemen-ted reproductive health education during the same period, yet with distinct ap-proaches. Spain, with its strong Catholic tradition, contrasts with the Czech Re-public, which registers a relatively low proportion of individuals with declared religious affiliation, according to statistical data from the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ) in 2021. The research participants consist of current adolescents and young adults aged 15 to 26 from the Czech Republic and Spain, who attended primary school during the systematic introduction of reproductive health education. The study aimed to...

Stromšíková, Vanessa ; Kulhánek, Adam (advisor) ; Barták, Miroslav (referee)
Background: Flavoured non-alcoholic beers have become very popular among children and teenagers in recent years. These products are appealing because of their taste, packaging, design, but also because they give the impression that they are more like lemonade than beer. They are affordable and risk-free for most people, so children and adolescents usually consume it in the presence of adults, often parents. Objective: The aim of this study is to map the experiences of 9th grade students with the use of non-alcoholic beers and to identify students' perceptions of their risk. Methods: The research was realised by quantitative method, namely a questionnaire survey. Data were collected as questionnaires in paper form in selected schools in the district of Prague 9 and transcribed into MS Excel, where they were also processed. Students of 9th grade participated in the questionnaires. A total of 79 respondents took part in the questionnaire, with the largest representation of 15-year-old students. Results: The results show that 85 % of the pupils have had at least one experience with non- alcoholic beers. Among the respondents who have had experience, girls are more represented (57 %). Only 61 % of pupils answered correctly the question what is a non-alcoholic beer. Frequency of use was less than once a...

3D modelování jako prostředek rozvoje tvořivosti žáků 2. stupně základní školy
SOSNA, Tomáš
The dissertation deals with the issue of creativity development using 3D modeling. In the introductory, theoretical part of the work, defining the concept of creativity is the first step towards understanding its essence and mechanisms. Defining the term 3D modeling is key to understanding its role and importance in the context of work. Although the connection of creativity with 3D modeling has great potential in the field of education and development of pupils' abilities, it is practically unexplored. At the same time, the teaching of 3D modeling is slowly but surely entering the curriculum of elementary schools and appears to be a good and modern means of teaching technical subjects that can develop the creativity of pupils. In addition, the possibility of the influence of a curricular document from the field of technology on creativity was investigated. The overlap with the planned major revisions of the RVP ZV is also mentioned, especially in the area of 3D modeling. In order to clarify the relationship between 3D modeling and creativity, quantitative research was carried out in the practical part of the work among pupils of the 2nd grade of primary schools. The research was divided into two areas A and B. In part A, the development of creativity in the control group, in which the teaching of technical education took place in the classic way, was compared with the development of creativity in the experimental group, in which the teaching took place with the support of 3D modeling tools. In part B, the development of creativity in the control group with 3D modeling lessons was compared with the development of creativity in the experimental group, in which the 3D modeling lessons were additionally supplemented with specially designed creative tasks. Data collection took place in the form of testing students using Torrance's Figural Test of Creative Thinking. The obtained results were processed using the Wilcoxon paired test and the Mann and Whitney U-test in the statistical program R. The main part of the work describes the results of the research, which are discussed from the perspective of the goal of the work and partial steps. In addition, the final summary discusses the possibilities for further research, which emerged from the results of this work, and identified recommendations for further investigation.
