Assessment of the Economic Situation of the Parent Company Using Statistical Methods

The master‘s thesis examines the issue of the interconnection of market potential with financial indicators and other variables. Data from the financial statements of ABC, s. r. o. operating on the Slovak IT market are used. The dependence of market potential and other market variables was evaluated using statistical methods. Subsequently, the analysis of selected financial indicators of the company ABC, s. r. o. is statistically evaluated and the dependence with market potential is verified. Thanks to the results, the company's proposals are determined, taking into account the current situation in the world.

Cost Analysis of the Company by Using the Method of Activity Based Costing

The aim of the diploma thesis Analysis of costs of a selected company using Activity Based Costing methods is to design a form of implementation of modern calculation methods for a selected company CIREX CZ, s.r.o. The analytical part is devoted to the introduction of the company and the products offered. The design part will be processed on the basis of outputs that result from strategic analyzes. The implementation of the calculation model consists of five stages, each stage will be discussed and analyzed separately. The diploma thesis sets out strategic initiatives that lead to eeting the objectives of the goal. The conclusion contains ecommendations and benefits that are associated with the implementation of the model in society.

Media image of Pinochet's regime in foreign newspapers

This thesis focuses on the different media images of Chile in foreign newspapers in 1973, 1988 and 1990. Specifically, it focuses on the New York Times in the USA, The Guardian in England and ABC in Spain, which had different views of the Pinochet regime and its development. The thesis focuses on all references to Chile during the two-week period at all key moments in the history of the Pinochet regime and compares each newspaper's view of these events. The aim of this thesis is to compare and analyse the different media portrayals of Chile in foreign newspapers and to examine the relationship of each newspaper to the Pinochet regime. The theoretical part deals with Chile's historical context of its economic and political development as well as an introduction to its two most influential political figures of the second half of the 20th century. It also presents the economic and political relationship between Chile and the three countries from which the diaries under study originated. In the practical part, I will focus on the three most important periods in the most significant moments of the Pinochet regime, his seizure of power, the first plebiscite and the final handover of the presidency.

This master thesis deals with the design of evolutionary algorithms to optimize LQG control of two laboratory models. It also deals with the creation of simplified models used to describe real models and with the subsequent estimation of their parameters. After this section it deals with optimization of control parameters with the use of simplified models, testing the control on laboratory models and summarizing the results of controlling the models.

Special running exercises in football training of young footballers

Title: Special running exercises in football training of young footballers Objectives: The aim of this work is a comprehensive summary of special athletics running excercises as a means of training for young footballers. The aim of the empirical part is to find out by pooling the details about the usage and knowledge of special running excercises of trainers. Methods: In our thesis we used a method of questioning. Because our prepared questions were not standardized. The charakter of pooling is an inquiry. Respondents should be introduced as an unrepresentative sample. Data were collected by e- mail correspondence. Results were entered into graphs and tables and their interpretation has been made. Results: The term special running exercises is well known for most of coaches. All the coaches consider important to develop technique of running. 81% of respondents use special running exercises to develop the technique. Coaches apply SBC for many purposes. Compared with various kinds of match level the most correct- techniques-training is used in division's teams. None of the coaches, who uses a special running exercises to correct the errors in the technique of running weren't able to describe all the occurred errors. The first people in space according to Czechoslovak media

This thesis focused on how propaganda was used in the Czechoslovak media and how that directly relatedd to the first people in space. The aim is an analysis of celebrities of Soviet state system including Yuri Gagarin, Valentina Tereshkova and also John Glenn for comparison. The thesis discusses how these people were promoted and constructed into cult heroes in Eastern, Western and Third World countries. The secondary literature of this subject was not yet analysed and the author wants to use it for further study. The contemporary sources are used in the press - Rude pravo, Mlady svet, Dikobraz, ABC mladych prirodovedcu a techniku and the Ceskoslovensky vojak.

Auxin transport in algae

Phytohormone auxin plays an important role in regulating plant development. Directional (polar) cell-to-cell auxin transport creates auxin gradients within plant tissues, which trigger a specific developmental response. The vast majority of available data concerns angiosperms. Lower land plants have been much less explored in this regard, but the important auxin-related mechanisms (including polar auxin transport) are already present in mosses. To uncover the origins of auxin action, one must focus on green algae, especially of clade Streptophyta, which are the direct ancestors of all land plants. In this study, the possible effects of auxins, both native and synthetic, were investigated on two algae: basal, unicellular Chlorella lobophora and advanced, filamentous Spirogyra sp. The latter received comparably more attention, since it belongs to a clade now acknowledged as a sister group to land plants. Chlorella lobophora culture growth was irresponsive to synthetic auxin NAA. The average Spirogyra sp. cell length was, however, changed by auxins at high concentrations. By conducting accumulation assays of radioactively labelled auxins and HPLC analysis, auxin metabolism and transport was investigated in Spirogyra sp. This alga was able to metabolize the plant-native IAA, but not synthetic auxins...
