Motivation for migration of young adults from the Moravian-Silesian region to the capital city of Prague
Němcová, Tereza ; Uherek, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Grygar, Jakub (referee)
The topic of this thesis is the motivation of migration of young adults from the Moravian- Silesian region to the capital city of Prague. With the help of qualitative research, the thesis tries to present the motivation to migrate as an outcome of the current situation in the Moravian- Silesian Region. It is primarily a statement not only about individual decisions, but also about the impact of structural problems, inequalities, and socio-economic differences in Czech society on mobility and on the dynamics of demographic development. Using the examples of individual respondents, the thesis shows a certain specific life path typical for the children of the so-called "Husák children" generation from the Moravian-Silesian region. These life trajectories of the selected individuals are strongly connected with the idea of social success and the culture of migration that individuals adopt from their environment. Motivation to migrate is framed in the paper primarily using push and pull factors. The research is based on a series of in-depth episodic interviews with students and graduates of Prague universities. The main finding of the thesis is the crucial role of opportunities, in the areas of education, employment and the acquisition of social capital in the form of contacts, which functioned as the...
Molecular Crystals for Nonlinear Optics - Salts of Nitrogen-containing Bases with Selenious Acid and Hypophosphorous Acid
Němcová, Tereza ; Matulková, Irena (advisor) ; Tyrpekl, Václav (referee)
In this bachelor thesis, systems of selenious acid and hypophosphorous acid with six organic bases (2-aminopyrimidine, 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole, 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole, 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole, 2-aminoguanidine and biguanide) were studied as the source of new materials for nonlinear optics. The six prepared crystalline compounds were identified and characterized by vibrational spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. Unfortunately, all prepared salts contain a centre of symmetry in their structures, and therefore none of them are suitable for nonlinear optics especially the second harmonic generation.
Nutritional and sensory value of plant-based beverages as alternatives to milk
Němcová, Tereza ; Doležal, Marek (advisor) ; Ilko, Vojtěch (referee)
The presented bachelor thesis deals with the issue of increasingly popular plant-based alternatives to cow's milk. The practical part focuses on the nutritional and sensory evaluation of beverages derived from oat grain. The theoretical part describes the different plant raw materials from which they are produced. It compares them from a nutritional point of view, describes the possible occurrence of anti-nutritional substances and their effects on the human organism. Subsequently, the thesis compares plant drinks with the parameters of cow's milk. In the practical part, 10 samples of oat drinks were analysed using the following methods: gravimetry for the determination of dry matter content, liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) for the determination of fat and Kjeldahl method for the determination of crude protein content. In order to obtain the necessary data, the ash content after the samples were ashed in a muffle furnace was determined gravimetrically and the carbohydrates were determined by calculation. The fatty acid content was determined by gas chromatography with flame ionization detector (GC/FID). Finally, a sensory profile evaluation method was performed. The results were then compared and discussed with previously published data. The analysed oat drinks contained approximately the same...

Home delivery - Czech reflection discussion
NĚMCOVÁ, Tereza
Periodicals are the topic a home birth engaged only in certain time waves, about whether a home birth is permissible or not. The views of the general public are greatly influenced by the media that report on these events. The professional public provides expert opinions on home birth. These views are supported by relevant research. And that's why the medical opinion carries a great weight for the view on this whole topic. In my bachelor thesis, I have dealt with home birth, as reflected in newspapers. In the theoretical part, I focused on defining the terms and the legislation associated with home birth, as midwife, doula, birth plan and others. I provided detailed history on the procedure of transfer of women from the home environment to the medical environment. I also explained the applicable laws relating to midwives and newborns. The aim of my thesis was to map the interest of press in the home birth. The reflections are associated with events in this issue. I also examined the reactions and opinions of journalists, lay and professional public. An integral part of this research was to monitor the trends and shifts in this debate. I used the qualitative research strategy in the form of analysis of printed documents in my thesis. The research group was based on the three most widely read journals - Lidove noviny, MF Dnes and Právo, and the three most read newsweeklies - Reflex, Respekt and Týden. The research cohorts were selected according to the readership criteria based on the data from the Publishers' Union from 2013. I identified two seasons for my research. The first one was the period from 1990 to 2012 for Mladá fronta Dnes. I performed a retrospective analysis of development in these data to explore the media interest in home birth over a longer period of time. The second period (for all media) was between January 1, 2013 and June 30, 2015. A deeper analysis of the articles was performed for a shorter period of time. The research showed that periodicals are not interested in home birth. It turned out that the discussion was based on an event. Mostly, it was a negative event. The highest increase in frequency of articles was found in the events associated with the judiciary and in the events associated with the death or adverse developments in home birth. The discussion is the last part of this thesis. The results are compared with the literature used in the theoretical part. In conclusion, I present a summary of my research and suggestions for solutions.

Georges Perec. Translations of the noted writer's experimental novels
Němcová, Tereza ; Šotolová, Jovanka (advisor) ; Charvátová, Anežka (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to present the French author Georges Perec in greater detail - his life and works, constraints he used in his experimental literary work, the reception of the author in the Czech and English contexts - and to compare the Czech and English translations of a selected extract from his novel Life A User's Manual. The first part of the thesis deals with the author's life and includes information on his published works. Its second part gives an overview of his texts translated into Czech, as well as of the reception of the writer's work in Czech media. The aim of the following part is to give a similar summary but with respect to the English context, and it sketches out some translation problems English translators encountered while translating Perec's work. The fifth part is dedicated to the writer's masterpiece Life A User's Manual. It outlines the main plot of the novel, the formal constraints Perec bound himself with, and his approach to writing in general. The final part is a comparative translatological analysis of the Czech and English translations of the fifty-first chapter.
