Addiction treatment in prison - the perspective of ex-convict women

Background: According to the Statistical Yearbook of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, 17,498 people were imprisoned in 2022. Of these, 1,486 were women. The proportion of people at risk of using addictive substances in the prison population is around 30 %. Based on this assumption, there will be approximately 500 women at risk of using addictive substances in prison in 2022. In prison, women can receive addiction treatment in the specialised SpO1 section of the prison in Opava. The section includes women with a court order for protective treatment as well as women who apply for admission to the section on their own initiative. The programme is accredited by the Health Department of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic. A total of 612 women were treated in this unit from the start of operations until the end of 2023. Aim: The aim of the study is to describe and evaluate the treatment stay in the specialised department SpO1 in the Opava Prison from the point of view of former clients and to gain inspiration for the practice in this department or for any other department with female clientele. Greek Military Junta in Family Reminiscences

This thesis examines the period of the Greek military junta through the lenses of then-children's reminiscences. These children, grew up dominantly in Athens, the capital and most likely place where events took place during the junta. Their family, and cultural memory serve as the key component to examining and analysing their collective memory of the Greek junta. The period of the quasi- dictatorship from 1967 until 1974 is to this day regarded as one of the darkest in the modern Greek history. During the colonels'era, political opposition and nonconforming citizens were either persecuted and imprisoned, or exiled to islands. Cultural and political freedom and personal rights were strictly limited. Despite the interviewees being merely children attending primary school, their social circles, families, cultural events, and subsequent years enabled them to create memories, as if they directly witnessed most of the events associated with the junta. The first part of the thesis encompasses theory of collective memories, second and third parts focus on modern Greek history since the end of the Civil War, and on the Greek military junta. The bachelor thesis aims on the marketing communication of Brněnská pivovarnická společnost s.r.o. focusing on sales promotion and advertising. The theoretical part deals with marketing, marketing communication and communication mix. Practical part analyzes the selected company, the current status and its evaluation. Final part is based on the executed analyzes and provides recommendations and suggestions to improve company´s marketing strategy.

The diploma thesis deals with the marketing communication of a selected company on a foreign market that produces herbal products from the category of healthy nutrition. The theoretical part contains definitions of basic terms related to the researched issues. The analytical part analyzes the current state of the selected company and its significant surroundings. It also includes a marketing research, which is conducted on the basis of qualitative and quantitative approach. The final part provides suggestions for improving the company's communication strategy in the Slovak B2C market.

Division of the region of the Šumava/Böhmerwald Mts. in terms of heavy precipitation

Divison of the region of the Šumava/Böhmerwald Mts. in terms of heavy precipitation Abstract This thesis deals with the spatial and temporal distribution of heavy precipitation in the Šumava region. The first part of the work is devoted to literature review regarding precipitation conditions in mountainous areas and a brief description of the Šumava mountains. The second part is initially devoted to the analysis of a total of 683 heavy precipitation events at the 64 stations spread evenly between Czechia, Germany, and Austria. The 50 largest daily precipitation totals at individual stations in the period 1971-2018 were always selected as strong precipitation events. The analysis was focused on the seasonal division of these events into four periods, namely spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Here, a strong link between the winter period and the westerly flow and the summer period and circulation types B, Bp, SWc and C is shown, and it is also confirmed here that spring and autumn are rather transition periods between the warm and cold part of the year with regard to heavy precipitation. Furthermore, an analysis of strong precipitation events was conducted based on the location of the geographical midpoint of the Tu event in quadrants I-IV, which were defined using the created vector space. The media image of an independent Kosovo in the newspapers MF DNES and Pravda

The subject of the thesis is to analyze the transformation of news in the Czech and Slovak press when Kosovo declared an independence from Serbia in 2008. The periodicals chosen to be analyzed are Czech newspaper MF DNES, which is considered serious and also most widely read and the Slovak significant daily news Pravda. Using the content analysis and the theory of agenda setting, the paper will focus on media image interpretation of the Republic of Kosovo. The aim of the research is to answer the question, whether it is possible to identify coverage of the Kosovo conflict in the two newspapers as independent. Both newspapers are investigated together and the result is a comparsion of their approach to the Kosovo issue.
