The protective function is considered the most important role of the skin. It is provided primarily by the uppermost layer of the epidermis, the stratum corneum (SC). The arrangement of the lipid layer surrounding keratinocytes is especially important for it. This is evidenced by the association between the increased incidence of skin diseases and the imbalance of present lipids. This thesis deals with the development of an ex vivo model of human skin, which would be used in the future to investigate skin barrier and topically administered formulations. The aim of this thesis is to establish suitable ex vivo skin cultivation conditions to achieve its sufficient viability and at the same time the biosynthesis of skin lipids. House arrest punishment and its social rehabilitation potential

The objective of the socially and pedagogically oriented diploma thesis is to find out the social and integration benefit of the house arrest punishment. The thesis has a theoretical-empirical nature. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on professional literature with the topics of punishments, history and foreign experience with the home arrest punishment within the context of restorative justice principles. At the same time, there is defined the activity of probation officers, and the issue of alternative punishments is reflected from the perspective of social pedagogy as a life aid. Qualitative research discovering benefits and weaknesses of the home arrest punishment in the current probation practice was selected for the empirical part. There were carried out interviews with probation workers from the department of electronic monitoring system and judges who impose the home arrest punishment. There will be proposed recommendations for the efficient use of the home arrest punishment on the basis of the research.

Teacher's personality and preparedness for teaching profession

The title of this theoretical bachelor thesis is the Teacher's Personality and Preparedness for Teaching Profession. The aim of the work is to characterise educational profession in the contexts of current discourse about education and social expectations concerning educational profession. The work deals with chosen demands on the educational profession and overall situation regarding pedagogical preparation of future teachers. In the work, I focus mainly on the qualities of teachers because the importance of the quality of education in society increases. The work explains the term personality and a question by which it is possible to form the teacher's personality. National authorities and regional libraries

This thesis examines national authorities and regional libraries. It explains the terminology and outlines the developement internationally and in the Czech republic as well. It also deals with the Czech national authority files, how to work with it, how it is maintained and updated. Process of formation of authority record is mentioned, together with authority records examples. Particular regional libraries are introduced and their workflow related to new authority record is described. In the analytical part of my thesis statistics on this issue are processed and compared. Particular hypotheses are verified and the contribution of regional libraries to the Czech national authority files is analysed in the conclusion.
INDIVIDUAL GIVING

Only a few cultural organizations in the country are devoted to development and continual work with individual fundraising. Many other cultural NGOs stands at the beginning of creating a strategy and planning individual fundraising in general. For this reason, this diploma thesis deals with potential and usable strategies in individual fundraising, donors motivation based on Czech surveys, case studies of cultural organizations with the potential in individual giving and other aspects. The summary should provide basic knowledge framework for the creation of strategies for cultural organizations that may find out desire and motivation to pursue potential of individual fundraising in the future. This thesis seeks to change stereotypes in thinking about individual fundraising as a way of raising funds without the potential and historical context.
The impact of recodification of the civil and commercial code on the Czech accounting standards

The Czech accounting standards have been amended many times yet. They were nevertheless adjusted in connection with the recodification of the private law on January 1st, 2014. Main output of this recodification was "The new civil code" and "The law about commercial corporations". The diploma thesis examines the impact of these legal standards on the Czech accounting standards. Apart from that, the new civil law brings also new terminology, what has consequently an impact on legislative and technical changes of the Czech accounting standards. Moreover the thesis talks about selected recodification areas, which significantly interfere in accounting. It is mainly the new concept of properties, trust, earnest payment and paying of prepayments on share on profit. Last but not least, the thesis tries to explain the new definition of technical improvement.
