Bravená, Noemi ; Helus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Pelcová, Naděžda (referee) ; Muchová, Ludmila (referee)
The submitted interdisciplinary dissertation on (outreach) transcendence of the child contains two parts: theoretical and empirical one. The theoretical part analyzes this concept in terms of linguistics, philosophy of education, psychology and religious pedagogy which implies conclusions for education. It also examines the concept of an ideal homo transcendens about which we can speak of a paradoxical and typological significance. In addition to this, the work reflects the care of overlap educators, child and curriculum. The empirical part of this work presents two pre surveys: One on children, the other on adults and children. Here is also presented methodology ready for transcendence term and it has its own specifics in a group interview based on two fictional stories. Qualitative research results are presented in four units: hermeneutical, socializing, emotional- attitudinal and empowermantal. Overlap as part of the education turnover to a child is related to the child together with the turnover in the child and the teacher. KEYWORDS: transcendence, transcending, outreach, child, personality, socialization, typology, metanoia, turning-to-child education
Relationship between Time Perspective and Achievement Motivation
Vitošková, Veronika ; Pavelková, Isabella (advisor) ; Helus, Zdeněk (referee) ; Man, František (referee)
This dissertation addresses the relationship pupils and students to the future, the relationship between time perspective and achievement motivation. The close relationship between the given issue and volitional qualities of a person is also discussed. The theoretical part concentrates on the scientific views of a person's life time dimension, the relationship between the time perspective and the achievement motivation and the relation of these concepts to the issues of volition. The main emphasis is on cognitive and personality concepts of motivation of the time perspective (Gjesme, Nuttin, Lens, Zimbardo, from Czech publications on the concepts of perspective orientation by Pavelková) and on the traditional works about achievement motivation of Atkinson, Raynor and Heckhausen. In our analysis of the aforementioned theoretical concepts we concentrated primarily on finding overlaps, close relations and continuities within the described systems. The practical part represents a structured research of the time perspective, the achievement motivation and will of primary school pupils and secondary school students. One of the fundamental aims is to obtain a basic description of the relationship of pupils and students to the future across the individual areas of study, to empirically verify the relation...

Saitlová, Barbora ; Pavelková, Isabella (advisor) ; Jošt, Jiří (referee) ; Helus, Zdeněk (referee)
TITLE: Pupils attributional tendencies and learning instrumentality AUTHOR: Mgr. Barbora Saitlová DEPARTMENT: Charles University in Prague - Faculty of Education SUPERVISOR: Doc. PhDr. Isabella Pavelková, CSc. ABSTRACT: In this dissertation we deal with an issue of pupils and students attribution in relation to life goals and perceived learning instrumentality for achieving these goals. We use life goals as an area for the two variables examination research. Besides the above mentioned variables we deal with another factors that we consider important in goals realization - future time perspective and students volitional characteristics, too. We were interested in school success and failure attribution, verification the role of internal and controllable attribution in terms of future time perspective or difference between the concept learning instrumentality and future time perspective. We used modified version of Inventory of motivational goals importance and learning instrumentality (De Volder, Lens, 1982) that we supplemented by questions about the attributional tendencies. Furthermore as a main method, we assigned students modified version of the Perspective orientation inventory (Pavelková, 2002), the Zimbardo time perspective inventory (Zimbardo, Boyd, 1999) and the Volitional components...
Specific role of art-philetic approach as an objective concept to build up inner pre-concepts and self-concepts on young people after psychotic episode
Štefančíková, Mariana ; Slavík, Jan (advisor) ; Helus, Zdeněk (referee) ; Géringová, Jitka (referee)
The subject I am interested in, is not about therapeutic interventions of psychotic disorder. I am concerning on young people as they are, although they suffer by any disorder. I presume they are able to reflect themselves, their inner experience and to work on self-acceptance and growth in the same way as other young people. For that kind of process is important to determine the range of professional area out of clinical practice because in clinical area are expected complications in personality development. I meet with a lot of young people they have experience with psychotic episode but they do not need therapeutic treatment any more. This experience means quite fault in their lives but now is all over and young people appreciate it as existential theme. They need to account and to close this experience and to seek other new ways to continue in their lives. They solve personal, development and relationship crisis as other young people do. It is nothing symptomatic. Simple school education in arts is also not enough because there is no place for a person who complicates the didactics because of his/her specific point of view on the things determined by his/her specific experience. I ask if it was possible to lead creative activities on purpose to give a chance to develop self-esteem and to support...

Valenta, Martin ; Pelánová, Anita (advisor) ; Helus, Zdeněk (referee)
The theses "Bauhaus school and reformal pedagogics in the context of social development in the end of 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century" looks for the answer for the question if it is possible to consider Bauhaus pedagogics as a part o f a reform pedagogic movement. In the first two chapters are explained political, social and mental reality of the german empire in the time of Wilhelm the II. and the pedagogics of the 19th century. The third chapter deals with reform schooling and the atmosphere of the cultural pesimism of the "fin de siecle". The analysis itself of the Bauhaus pedagogics and its comparison with reform pedagogics on the examples of M.Montessori, R. Steiner and G. Kerchensteiner are found in the chapter four. The conclusion compares both phenomena and answers the introductory questions. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
