V kapitole druhé se budu věnovat popisu sociálně-politické reality konce 19. a počátku 20. století. Budu sledovat revoluční procesy industrializace, urbanizace, sekularizace, nacionalizace, vzniku hierarchizované a segregované třídně-stavovské moderní či před-moderní společnosti, počátek emancipačních procesů i opatrnou demokratizaci. Tato kapitola chce přiblížit prostředí a atmosféru, ze které vzešly stěžejní impulsy k reformě výchovy i vzdělání. V kapitole třetí popíši tradiční státní školství a jeho proměny v 19. století. Akcentována bude vysoká diference mezi výchozím neohumanistickým ideálem a realitou německého školství v epoše vilémovského Německa. Nastíním pedagogický systém J.F. Herbarta a jeho následovníků, který byl teoretickým pilířem výchovy a vzdělání v 19. století. Smyslem této kapitoly bude přiblížení dobových poměrů ve školství, které začaly podléhat široké kritice a staly se jednou z hlavních příčin vzniku reformní pedagogiky. V následující kapitole přiblížím mentální atmosféru přelomu 19/20. století a klíčové impulsy pro vznik nové školy. Stručně popíši myšlenkový odkaz jejích předchůdců (Rousseau, Pestalozzi, Frobel) a uvedu obecnou charakteristiku a členění nápravné pedagogiky. S pátou kapitolou se ocitáme v centru práce. Po přiblížení německého Werkbundu, který v mnohém předznamenal... The theses "Bauhaus school and reformal pedagogics in the context of social development in the end of 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century" looks for the answer for the question if it is possible to consider Bauhaus pedagogics as a part o f a reform pedagogic movement. In the first two chapters are explained political, social and mental reality of the german empire in the time of Wilhelm the II. and the pedagogics of the 19th century. The third chapter deals with reform schooling and the atmosphere of the cultural pesimism of the "fin de siecle". The analysis itself of the Bauhaus pedagogics and its comparison with reform pedagogics on the examples of M.Montessori, R. Steiner and G. Kerchensteiner are found in the chapter four.
