Reactivity in stress situation as a factor of recruitment
Šléglová, Vanda ; Čáp, David (advisor) ; Rymeš, Milan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with a theme of reactivity in a stress situation with a main focus on its testing in the frame of recruitment process in organizations. After the introduction to the theory of stress and dimensions of personality, that play role during the process of stress coping, the text presents more or less comprehensive compendium of psychodiagnostic tools used in personal practice for testing a stress resilience. Principles of these methods are described. Besides the most common methods, such as interview, observing and anamnesis, some multidimensional questionnaires, where one of the dimensions involves stress resilience, are presented. Unidimensional tests, particularly aimed at this quality, follow. This review constitutes rather possibilities than methods really used in practice. Empirical survey would need to be done to reveal their actual usage. Survey design is suggested that would enable assessing possible usage of Rosenzweig's picture frustration test during recruitment process. The survey would consist of a pilot part, that would be based on interviews with HR recruitment specialists and a main, quantitative part that would assume a questionnaire distribution among higher number of HR specialists. The process of religious conversion and its effect in everyday life
Vynohradnyková Gaydečková, Vanda ; Tuček, Milan (advisor) ; Kandert, Josef (referee)
The thesis compiles and comments upon the results of a qualitative research focused on the process of religious conversion. The research is based on a series of semi-structured interviews conducted with young converts who decided to join the Roman Catholic church; the subjects are members of the congregation of one (anonymous) church in Prague. Main focus topics included their approach to religion/faith and its evolution in connection with the changes the respondents experience in their everyday lives, their authentic feelings and experiences. The results of the survey are not aimed to be easily generalised and applied to the general population - instead, the work aims to reveal deeper connections and relations which could be employed in future research.
Workplace violence - mobbing and bossing
Pocová, Vanda ; Beneš, Milan (referee) ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor)
Originating from an individual or a group of individuals and targeted against another individual, mobbing and bossing are two forms of workplace violence which can include persistent and constant attacks, rather psychological by their nature. Any employee can be the mobber, whereas the bosser is always the superior of the subject of bossing. The abuser aims to humiliate and subjugate the victim's personality, as a result of which the victim leaves the workplace - either voluntarily or by means of dismissal. The situation involves not only the abuser and the abused but also co-workers, superior and/or personnel managers. This bachelor thesis provides an insight to the origin and use of the terms Mobbing and Bossing. I have described individual phases of conflict development, behaviour of individual parties involved and impacts on victim's health. The final part looks at the existing European and Czech studies on this topic and the workplace violence prevention.
