The Presentation of Transforming Attributes in SQL for Data Governance Support
Bartoš, Michal ; Janoušek, Jan (advisor) ; Kopecký, Michal (referee)
This thesis examines extraction of attributes' transformation descriptions from Oracle SQL scripts and possibilities of their presentation to users. This thesis com- pares several variants of output format. Then it describes details of construction for the chosen format and choices that led to it. One of the main decisions was the choice of input data structures: abstract syntax tree and dataflow graph. Those data structures provide initial analysis of input SQL scripts but they also strongly influence the rest of processing. Results of this thesis were verified by prototype implementation in software Manta. The prototype confirmed suitability of the chosen approach for convenient presentation to users. 1

Registration of claims in insolvency proceedings
Janoušek, Jan ; Smolík, Petr (advisor) ; Winterová, Alena (referee)
RAISING CLAIMS IN INSOLVENCY PROCEEDING - ENGLISH ABSTRACT The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive summary of institutes of an insolvency law related to the application of claims as well as defining the rights and obligations of creditors related to this topic with a closer focus on risk and problematic facts appearing in practice. All the text is based on the insolvency law effective at the time of its creation and besides the academic literature also often uses related practice of the courts. The introductory part presents an insolvency law in its historical and also contemporary context. It is listing the material sources and their brief characteristics needed to simplify the understanding of the substance of an insolvency law. For the same reason the initial chapters deal with the basic principles and terminology of an insolvency law, namely an insolvency proceeding, a bankruptcy and closely characterize particular ways of solving a debtor's bankruptcy. Another part of this thesis focuses on the actual debts. The legal analysis of the term debt and its types that are applied during insolvency proceedings is being carried out and it involves also the list of debts excluded. On the other hand this part includes the theory of debts with no need to be applied, since those are registered into...
Resynchronization and prosynchronization in permanent cardiac pacing in children.
Kubuš, Peter ; Janoušek, Jan (advisor) ; Kautzner, Josef (referee) ; Novák, Miroslav (referee)
1 Abstract Objectives: To evaluate the results of permanent epicardial pacing and clinical impact of electromechanical dyssynchrony in permanent cardiac pacing in children; to identify the pacing sites with the greatest potential to prevent pacing-induced cardiomyopathy. Methods: Retrospective observational study of long-term results of permanent epicardial pacing in children in the Czech Republic. Multi-centre cross-sectional study on long-term effects of the site of ventricular pacing on left ventricular (LV) synchrony and function in children with structurally normal heart, requiring permanent pacing. Results: Overall probability of continued epicardial pacing (absence of change to a partial or total transvenous system) was 92.8 and 76.1% at 5 and 10 years after implantation, respectively. None of those patients who were paced from the systemic ventricle developed dyssynchronous systemic ventricular failure. Pacing site was the only significant predictor of LV ejection fraction (EF) and LV shortening fraction (P < 0.0001 for both). Pacing from the LV apex/LV midlateral wall was associated with preserved LV function (LV ejection fraction ≥ 55%; odds ratio (OR) = 8.26; P = 0.018). Pacing from the RV outflow tract/lateral RV predicted significantly decreased LV function (LV ejection fraction < 45%; OR =...
The criminological significance of crime reporting with the aim on reporting of bribery offences (whistleblowing)
Janoušek, Jan ; Hořák, Jaromír (advisor) ; Říha, Jiří (referee)
The topic of this thesis is the criminological significance of crime reporting. The first part deals with the issues of latent crime, the part of crime which stays hidden. It describes the possibilities and limits of crime recording and the reasons why a significant part of crime stays in the so called dark area of crime and gets never discovered by police. The most significant cause of latent crime seems to be the non- reporting behavior of victims. The second part closely looks at the non-reporting behavior of victims and describes the individual factors, which lead to the decision to not report a crime to the police. First and nearly most important factor described is the cost and benefit theory. Second factor that the thesis is dealing with is the trust in police in a specific territory. Third factor is the influence of neighborhood in which the victim lives and fourth is the influence of victim's age. Fifth factor described in this thesis is the gender of the offender, primarily the fact, that crimes committed by women get reported less than crime committed by men. Special chapter is dedicated also to the reporting of domestic violence. The third part of this thesis deals with reporting of corruption, primarily of bribery criminal offences. In this area Czech Republic still doesn't have legal...
The impact of positive inotropic and antiarrhythmic drugs on cardiovascular system
Kočková, Radka ; Linhart, Aleš (advisor) ; Janoušek, Jan (referee) ; Štengl, Milan (referee)
Heart rate changes mediate the embryotoxic effect of antiarrhythmic drugs in the chick embryo A significant increase in cardiovascular medication use during pregnancy has occurred in recent years but only limited evidence on its safety profile is available. We hypothesized that drug-induced bradycardia is the leading mechanism of developmental toxicity. We tested metoprolol, carvedilol, or ivabradine for embryotoxicity and their acute effect on chick embryonic model. We used video microscopy and ultrasound biomicroscopy. Significant dose-dependent mortality was achieved in embryos injected with carvedilol and ivabradine. In ED4 embryos, metoprolol, carvedilol and ivabradine reduced the heart rate by 33%, 27%, and 55%, respectively, compared to controls (6%). In ED8 embryos this effect was more pronounced with a heart rate reduction by 71%, 54%, 53%, respectively (controls 36%). Cardiac output decreased in all tested groups but only proved significant in the metoprolol group in ED8 embryos. The number of -adrenergic receptors showed a downward tendency during embryonic development but a negative chronotropic effect of tested drugs was increasingly pronounced with embryonic maturity. This effect was associated with reduced cardiac output in chick embryos, probably leading to premature death....
Studium of the clinical impact of different forms of cardiac resynchronisation therapy by patients with chronic heart failure
Burianová, Lucie ; Kautzner, Josef (advisor) ; Janoušek, Jan (referee) ; Táborský, Miloš (referee)
Studium of the clinical impact of different forms of cardiac resynchronization therapy by patients with chronic heart failure MUDr. Lucie Burianová ABSTRACT: Introduction: Biventricular (BiV) pacing decreases mortality and improves quality of life of patients with severe heart failure. Haemodynamic and short time clinical studies suggest that isolated leftventricular pacing could have the same effect. Aims: Compare the effect of BiV and leftventricular pacing by subjects with dilated cardiomyopathy and severe heart failure with the attention to signs of dyssynchrony and remodelation of the left chamber. In methodical substudy compare the results of left chamber volumes and ejection fraction (EF LK) measured by CT angiography and 2-dimensional echocardiography with use of contrast agent (K-ECHO). Methods: Patients indicated for cardiac resynchronization therapy were randomized for either BiV or leftventricular pacing. After implantation of the device they were examinated clinically and by echocardiography every 3 months in the period of one year. Four years from the onset of the study the major adverse events in both groups were evaluated. The results of left chamber volumes and EF LK measured by K-ECHO and CT angiography were compared. Results: We enrolled 33 patients. We found clinical improvement in both...
Hermes - The God Between the Human and Divine Worlds and His Metamorfoses in Time
Špillingová, Eva ; Janoušek, Jan (advisor) ; Hruška, Blahoslav (referee)
The main theme of this thesis is the figure of the Greek god Hermes and the changes in its understanding, spanning from the archaic images to the character of Mercury in the Hermetic tradition and alchemy. Attention is paid to Hermes' transformation into an Olympian god which he underwent in the works of Homer. At the same time his godly child characteristics are being discussed as well as his relations to some. other gods of Olympic pantheon. Another important change in the understanding of Hermes' figure can be observed during the period of the Hellenistic religious syncretism, the time in which the Greek culture and its gods were exposed to the oriental and Egyptian cults. The concluding part of the thesis discusses the transformation of Hermes into the character of Mercury of the alchemists, which enabled him to be the only one of the Greek gods to survive until the 17th century.
