Comparison of the evolution and the application of the portuguese and the spanish subjunctive
Nováková, Zuzana ; Jindrová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Hricsina, Jan (referee)
The present study tries to point out the most important differences between the Portuguese and the Spanish subjunctive mood. The purpose was not a statistical list of the distribution of particular expressions as the extent of the study does not permit it. Therefore, we also had to leave out some topics such as for example the sequence of tenses or temporal issues. This one is mentioned only marginally. Nevertheless, there are no substantial differences between the two languages in this respect. Altough it might be relatively difficult to separate temporal and modal aspect, we mainly focused on the modal alternation. We can consider three possible meanings of the subjunctive mood in both languages. The first one has its own modal value and is in the opposition with the indicative mood. This happens mainly in the subordinate adjectival clauses, after some expressions in noun clauses and after some prepositional expressions in circumstantial clauses. In the second case, the subjunctive mood depends on another modal expression and only repeats redundantly the modal value of the head element. This happens especially in main clauses, in noun clauses and in curcumstantial clauses. The last case represents the subjunctive form having assertive value, while losing its functional value. It comprises only the formal...
Mission in the Life of Organization
Nováková, Zuzana ; Vrzáček, Petr (advisor) ; Suchel, Jakub (referee)
Master's thesis entitled "Mission in the Life of Organization" explores the phenomenon of mission. The work is closely focused on the area related to non-profit organizations that provide social services for the target group of seniors. In the theoretical part is mission defined by recognized standards of quality of social services and from the perspective of literature. Furthermore I view it in the context of the needs and size of the target group and social demand backing group organization. Subsequent chapters are devoted to the topic of mission in context of strategic planning, fundraising, public relations and ultimately organization culture. In the empirical part I present the implementation of qualitative research. The research was conducted using a case study approach in two registered organizations providing social services to seniors. The aim was to answer the research question: How do perceive the mission of organization its employees? Research was conducted through semi- structured interviews methods. The result is the following statement, which is valid for both cases: All employees are able to interpret the mission of their organization through their own values and experiences. Whether the employee's mission is shared or not shared, or employees consider it to be part of a formal, is...
Integration of foreigners in the second generation
Nováková, Zuzana ; Čabanová, Bohumila (advisor) ; Jaganjacova, Dubravka (referee)
Diploma thesis "Integration of foreigners in the second generation (coexistence of Vietnamese and Czech families in Cheb) deals with the current situation in the issue of the integration of foreigners in the Czech Republic, which is mostly displayed in the way of living of the second generation. The thesis is specifically focused on Vietnamese immigrants, who first had come to Czech because of work during the communism and returned back and started not only working, but also started family and having children after the revolution in 1989. Nowadays Vietnamese form one of the biggest groups of migrants in CR, what significantly influences the situation especially in the westbohemian region, where the group had been concentrated because of economic reasons. While using theoretical knowledge of the situation, methods of policy analysis (causal model, SWOT analysis) and sociological research (semi-structured interviews, questionnaires and observation) the goal of the thesis was to describe the situation of the second generation, what problems are dealt within the situation, what is the attitude of the society towards them and vice versa. According to this description the thesis deals with the evaluation of the integration approach of public policy and suggests precautions that would improve the situation in the...
When God comes to know: The verbal root j-d-a as the predicate of God in Pentateuch and its comperhension in Rabbinic and Patristic literature
Nováková, Zora ; Sláma, Petr (advisor) ; Prudký, Martin (referee)
This Diploma thesis deals with two main issues. First, it explores the verbal root yadaʽ (know, learn) in the Pentateuch on places where God or the Lord is a grammatical subject, and second, how this verb has been interpreted by the rabbinic and patristic literature. The first part of the thesis focuses on general characteristics of the verb in contexts where it can reliably testify about God as the subject matter. The second part inquiries into exegesis of two particular cases of appearance of the verb yadaʽ in the so called intransitive form which occurs in the Pentateuch only twice, in Gen 18:21 and Ex 2:25. These two incidences are interconnected not only by the use of the verb yadaʽ but also by the complexity of explication and a number of other motives, especially the term of groaning. Both of the cases represent a groaning cry of the suffering people which is followed by God's response. While in Gen 18:21, the groaning comes from Sodom, in Ex 2:25, there are the sons of Israel crying from Egypt. However, God's knowledge does not precede these situations, it is a response to the resounding crying. The third part of my thesis analyses how the two given contexts are interpreted by rabbinic and patristic literature which can be regarded as sisterly traditions of interpretation of the first centuries of...
Riding like the movement relaxy activity
Nováková, Zuzana ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Černá, Sylvie (referee)
Title: Riding like the movement relaxy activity Goals: Verification of the benefits of riding for human health in terms of metabolic effects on the muscular system and psyche. Method: Analysis of literature, motion analysis, observation, interview, deduction. Results: They give a comprehensive overveiw of the importance of riding on human health and confirm the facts cited in the literature. Results are focused on exploring the positive effect of riding on the human body in term of energy coverage, energy consumption, the effects on the muscular system and impact on the human psyche. The plant - habitat diversity relationship in the Křivoklátsko PLA
Nováková, Zuzana ; Chuman, Tomáš (advisor) ; Romportl, Dušan (referee)
The term biodiversity means biological diversity at different levels - from genetic diversity, species diversity to ecosystem diversity. The distribution of plant diversity on Earth is not uniform and it is influenced by various factors. In my thesis I emphasize physical-geographic factors, which include climate, soil and topography. Next I assess the influence of environmental heterogeneity, ecological phenomenons, biotic factors and disturbances. I also assess biodiversity gradients, which include altitude and latitude gradient and size and remoteness of habitats. Another part is focused on the plant-habitat diversity relationship because this relation will be researched in the second part of my thesis. Křivoklátsko PLA was chosen as a model area for its specificity, interest and high species and habitat diversity. The aim of my thesis is to determine the species-habitat diversity relationship in the selected area. Key words: plant diversity, habitat diversity, Křivoklátsko PLA

AbstractJanderova-Rossmeislova L., Novakova Z., Vlasakova J., Philimonenko V., Hozak P., Hodny Z., 2007. PML protein association with specific nucleolar structures differs in normal, tumor and senescent human cells. J. Struct. Biol. 159, 56-70. Cellular senescence, widely recognized as a potent suppressor of tumorigenesis, represents response to cellular stress and DNA damage which results in irreversible cell growth arrest. Growing evidence signalizes crucial role of cytokine production in senescence phenomenon. Recently, many research groups have efforted to define exact character of senescence-associated secretory phenotype and its function in senescence development and maintentance. Factors secreted by senescent cells, mainly of proiflammatory character, were found to have pronounced effects on their environment as well as on its own producer. These observations were obtained preferentially on models of replicative senescence and oncogene-induced senescence. Vlasakova J, Novakova Z, Rossmeislova L, Kahle M, Hozak P, Hodny Z. 2007.
