Černý, Martin ; Czesany Dvořáková, Tereza (advisor) ; Bauer, Šimon (referee)
(in English): This thesis deals, in frame of new film history, with the changes in Czech film distribution system connected to cinema digitalisation in the Czech Republic. Generally, the paper focuses on the influence the technological changes have on film distribution and its development in the Czech Republic. Considering the recent emergence of new genres and types of films, the work examines, on the example of documentaries, what effect these changes have on the variety of the Czech digital cinemas programme offer. The case study contained in the thesis explores a process of creating film programme in cinemas of average size Czech cities which do not have to compete with multiplexes. Selected programmers of these cinemas were interviewed in semi-structured interviews in terms of qualitative research, with the aim to determine the decisive factors influencing programming of documentary films in these cinemas. As seen from this thesis, the range of films in the distribution circuit has extended in two ways after the emergence of digitalisation and this development considerably affected the work of cinema programmers. Namely the wider availability of commercially successful films, generating great numbers in box office became a competition for the alternative films (documentaries included). Unlike...

Title: Film Screenings at ČVUT Author: Richard Henzler Department: Film Studies Department, Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague Thesis supervisor: Mgr. MgA Tereza Czesany Dvořáková The thesis presents a history of film screenings at ČVUT using the method of oral history. The aim of the thesis is to present the operation of the film club in years 1984 until 1990. Interviews with the founders of the Film club Richard Kohout, Martin Řezníček and Jiří Neuman were used as a primary source. They were complemented by information obtained from the club's internal records and by contemporary newspaper and literary accounts. The main contribution of the thesis is the fact that this topic has not yet been processed and the thesis can be thus used as a basis for further research in the field of oral history and history of film. The theoretical part of the work introduces the method of oral history, its methodology, advantages and shortcomings. The following chapter summarizes a number of projects, both Czech and international, which are using the method of oral history and whose primary interest lies within the field of film studies. The practical part gives a chronological account of the operation of the film club and is supplemented by information from the interviews and from the records of the...
An impact of Vojta reflex locomotion on patients with multiple sclerosis
Dvořáková, Tereza ; Řasová, Kamila (advisor) ; Honců, Pavla (referee)
Vojta reflex locomotion works on the strength of rediscovery of locomotive patterns. In this study, we investigated influence of Vojta's method to the clinical condition of patients with multiple sclerosis cerebrospinalis. There were five patients with multiple sclerosis which underwent two months Vojta reflex locomotion rehabilitation. We found out that Vojta reflex locomotion has positive influence to relief spasticity on the upper and lower extremities. The spasticity improves at all patients on average on 12, 3 %. Except improve of the spasticity, is also noticeable the increase of muscle strength (around 8 %). In the other clinical symptoms weren't found any considerable improvement in comparison with the primary condition before rehabilitation.
Tiling problems in combinatorics
Dvořáková, Tereza ; Slavík, Antonín (advisor) ; Halas, Zdeněk (referee)
The thesis represents a collection of solved problems concerned with covering planar shapes (mostly rectangles with integer sides) by tiles known as polyominoes (e.g., domi- noes, trominoes, tetrominoes, etc.). In most cases, the goal is to find a tiling or to prove that no such tiling exists. In more difficult problems, the task is to deduce conditions for the rectangle to be tileable by specified polyominoes. The last chapter is devoted to calcu- lating the number of all possible tilings of the specified rectangle.
Information resources of film studies area accessible on WWW
Evaluation of the in vitro skin permeation of selected compounds using static Franz diffusion cells
Dvořáková, Tereza ; Vávrová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Zbytovská, Jarmila (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Inorganic & Organic Chemistry Student: Tereza Dvořáková Title of diploma thesis: EVALUATION OF THE IN VITRO SKIN PERMEATION OF SELECTED COMPOUNDS USING STATIC FRANZ DIFFUSION CELLS The work focuses testing the transdermal permeation of selected substances - tacrine and 7-methoxytacrine (7-Meota). Tacrine is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor approved for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. For its hepatotoxicity and side- effects is no longer used today. Transdermal administration could be a good alternative to reduce those side effects. 7-Meota is tacrine derivative, which in previous in vitro testing demonstrated lower toxicity in comparison with tacrine. The aim of this thesis was to clarify if and to what extent has tacrine and 7-Meota ability for transdermal permeation. Experiments were performed in vitro by using Franz diffusions cells. As receptor fluid was used for tacrine a phosphate buffer solution and for 7-Meota was a phosphate buffer solution for one part of the trial and for a second part was water. Substances were applied in an infinite dose in aqueous solution onto the surface of pig skin, which was cut to a thickness of 500 µm and 1000 µm. For the comparison was part of the experiments conducted in a...
