Social media and academic self-efficacy among university students
Pleskačová, Linda ; Kollerová, Lenka (advisor) ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee)
This theoretical-empirical bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of social media and academic self-efficacy among university students. The theoretical part deals with social media theory, social networks, their role in society, gender differences in social network use, and general and academic self-efficacy. The empirical part describes, examines, and compares responses to a questionnaire distributed to university students through social media. The research sample (N = 742, 64.96% female, 34.50% male, 0.54% non-binary, mean age = 23.3 years) consists of university students. The questionnaire was quantitatively evaluated using descriptive statistics and statistical hypothesis testing. University students spend an average of 2.71 hours per day on social media, and the majority (81%) of users use social media passively, i.e., they mostly do not actively engage in sharing content. Students most frequently use Messenger (18%), Instagram (16%), Facebook (16%), YouTube (15%) and WhatsApp (10%). The research results showed that there is no difference between active and passive users in self-efficacy in terms of academic performance (general academic self- efficacy and academic self-efficacy among university students). The increasing level of integration of social media into life was not related to either...
Inquiry-based science club for children
Šulcová, Alena ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (advisor) ; Blažková, Veronika (referee)
This Bachelor thesis is dealing with the use of research-oriented teaching during hobbies as part of leisure activities in the field of natural sciences, especially chemistry. Nowadays is noticeable trend to start with research activities and building relation to natural and technical sciences at very young age of students. In the theoretical part the thesis describe principles and forms of research-oriented teaching and their realization, lecturer qualification conditions and work safety during the experiments in the hobby, development of students potential during younger school age, specifics of this students period and characterizes leisure activities in detail and their delineation in relation to formal education. Part of the practical part is a local survey of the accessibility of research-oriented clubs in the Polepy and Libochovice districts. The empirical part contains verified proposals for five meetings of the science-oriented research group for students of younger school age. The preparation allows both: face-to-face and distance form and indicates the availability and price budget of the material, the risks and the safety of working with tools, the clearly stated goal of each meeting and a detailed description of the students research-oriented activities, including questions and...
Effect of light on microalgae growth
Adamec, Matěj ; Sukačová, Kateřina (referee) ; Naď, Martin (advisor)
Light is one of the key elements affecting the growth of photoautotrophic algae in photobioreactors. For optimal cultivation in such a device, sufficient access to light radiation to the microalgae is required sufficient light intensity is needed. In this work, considerable attention is paid to the influence of light during the whole photosynthesis process. Viable solutions for the illumination of the photobioreactor by natural and artificial light are evaluated in detail, including a description of its main parameters. The design of a programmable illumination for a newly designed photobioreactor with eight horizontal tubes and a control calculation of PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) were performed. Afterwards, the designed illumination was implemented on the newly built photobioreactor to evaluate the effect of photoperiod length and LED light coloration on the actual microalgae cultivation. Based on these data, the optimal photoperiod length could be determined, and ratios of 12:12, 18:6, and 24:0 (light phase:dark phase) were tested. Finally, to evaluate the spatial distribution of the photobioreactor illumination, CFD simulations of selected photobioreactor tubes were performed using simulation software ANSYS FLUENT.
Eesponsibility of business entities for admnistrative tfenses
Bače, Václav ; Prášková, Helena (advisor) ; Adamec, Martin (referee)
The presented diploma thesis aims to introduce the addressee of the text to the institute of liability of entrepreneurial natural persons for administrative delicts, which was introduced into the Czech legal system as a separate liability regime only with the adoption of Act No. 250/2016 Coll., on Liability for Administrative Delicts and Proceedings. Although an entrepreneurial natural person could, of course, have been the perpetrator of an administrative delict before, it was only with the adoption of the Act that its liability for administrative delicts was completely separated from the liability of a legal person for administrative delict. Therefore, the author of the thesis decided to discuss the regime of liability of an entrepreneurial natural person for administrative delicts in such a way that the addressee of the text would be able to get to know all important aspects of the functioning of the liability regime of an entrepreneurial natural person. The structure of the thesis consists of eight chapters including the conclusion. In the first chapter, the author defined the basic institutes constituting the very concept of liability of an entrepreneurial natural person for administrative delicts. Subsequently, the author portrayed the development of the liability for administrative delicts...
Second grade students of a selected elementary school and solving non-standard problems
Jakoubková, Zuzana ; Voňková, Hana (advisor) ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee)
In the theoretical part, the diploma thesis focuses on the definition of the legislative framework regarding to the inclusion of non-standard tasks to the teaching methods in the Czech Republic, with regard to RVP ZV, and then on the explanation of the terms task, and non-standard task in a mathematical context, with reference to the definitions of both, Czech and foreign authors. Subsequently, the author focus on the typology of non-standard tasks, and their use in textbooks and workbooks used during lessons of mathematic in the Czech Republic. The main part of the thesis is an empirical research based on the results of a questioning students from a specified elementary school. The questioning is focused not only on the level of students familiarity with non-standard tasks, but also on their ability to solve these tasks. This research is supplemented by the results of interviews with individual teachers in the field of mathematics at the selected elementary school. During debates with teachers, it became clear that use non-standard tasks like a teaching method is not very common in the Czech Republic. However, it follows from the results of the questionnaire research, that students have experience with basic principles, and algorithms of solving non-standard tasks and in lessons they encounter all...

Minorities in Czech and Polish law
Řezníková, Sylva ; Pomahač, Richard (advisor) ; Adamec, Martin (referee)
Minorities in Czech and Polish law Abstract This thesis is devoted to a comparison between the legal regulation of national and ethnic minorities in Czech and Polish law. These two jurisdictions have been selected for comparison due to partly shared legal culture, linguistic proximity, and comparable modern history. The analysis is focused on guarantees provided to national and ethnic minorities in both countries and reveals that while there are many similarities between the two legal cultures, the legal systems differ in numerous ways. In both countries, the basic legal guarantees to minorities are regulated in the constitutions and additionally, legal guarantees to minorities are dealt with comprehensively in acts devoted solely to national and ethnic minorities, i.e., the Act on the rights of persons belonging to national and ethnic minorities, Act No. 273/2001 Coll. in the Czech Republic, and the Act of 6 January 2005 on national and ethnic minorities and on the regional language, (Dz.U. 2005 Nr 17 poz. 141). Both comprehensive minority acts regulate similar fields, such as the right to education in minority languages, the right to dissemination and reception of information in minority languages, the right to multilingual signs and inscriptions, the right to use one's forename and surname in a minority...
