ETHICS OF WORKING WITH SYNCHRON IN TV NEWS AND PUBLICISTICS
Černá, Zuzana ; Lokšík, Martin (advisor) ; Šmíd, Milan (referee)
The thesis Ethics of working with synchron in TV News and Publicistics analyzes the use of synchronized statements in media contents and the method of their preparation. Everything is integrated into an ethical framework and seeks to answer the question of how journalists can process the original material avoiding the misrepresentation of the data acquired. Certain parts of the thesis are devoted to the analysis of stand-ups. The analysis describes the work of all three national television stations - Czech Television, TV Nova and TV Prima, or mainly their main news broadcasts. The selected examples are trying to demonstrate the greatest mistakes which, from my point of view, reporters have committed. The second part of the analysis deals with two specific cases of working with synchrons which have been challenged. There is a former case of a charge of the Czech Televison. The politician Petr Nečas accused the medium of taking some of his words out from the context. The second issue, already settled, was dealt with by the Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting (RRTV). It is an event from the spring of 2010, when an informal conversation between ODS chairman Mirek Topolánek and the general editor of LUI magazine was promoted in the media. The first two chapters also contain a theoretical...

Černá, Zuzana ; Klimeš, Ivan (advisor) ; Czesany Dvořáková, Tereza (referee)
This thesis concerns the process of Postwar purge, a purge which was being carried out by the Disciplinary Board of the Union of Czech film workers, in film industry after the Second World War. Even before establishing the Retribution Decrees, revolutionary denazification commissions came into being in many areas of public life. These commissions tried workers co-operating with invaders with absolutely no legal basis. The film industry, a kind of mass media which was on the front burner, also underwent this process under the supervision of a new cinematography leadership. The new leadership's aim was to nationalise the film branch. The aim of this thesis is to make clear who was tried by the commission and under what conditions, how the commission arbitrated and who were its members. Another goal is to imply how they influenced the next course of post-war Czechoslovak cinematography.

Černá, Zuzana ; Klimeš, Ivan (advisor) ; Czesany Dvořáková, Tereza (referee)
This thesis deals with the retribution judicature within Czech cinematography in the years 1945-1948. Right after the Second World War, revolutionary denazification commission came into being on the level of companies and union boards. Almost 270 workers from all areas of cinematography underwent the process of the Disciplinary Board of the Union of Czech film workers, including cinema usherettes or directors of film companies. The cases were not judged on any legal basis, but rather under the supervision of a new cinematography leadership. For many of the workers it ended in being forced to leave the industry. Some of the cases were included into the proceedings of the Great Retribution Decree or the Small Retribution Decree. According to the Extraordinary People's Courts and the Penalty Finding Commissions the people were likely to end up in prison or with a fine, or for the worst case there was a possibility of the death sentence. Eventhough an extensive number of cinematography workers stood in front of these courts the conclusions had not such a big influence on the future of Czech film industry as it was in the case of the Disciplinary Board. Despite of this fact, the revolutionary and the offical branches of retribution are often mixed up. The aim of this thesis is to make a distinction and...

A man who finds himself in the role of the patient does not lose his rights, but remains responsible for his actions. Most of the rules of cohabitation applies to patients as well as for everyone else, but lays out special privileges and obligations just for patients. These rules must be known to both patients and medical staff to be able to apply them in the context of nursing practice. The aim of the study was to explore the knowledge of rights and obligations in selected patients department Hospital Motol, which may affect their application in nursing practice. The research used a nonstandardized questionnaire in two versions, one for patients and one for health professionals (nurses). Professionals reported that patients rights know (76.7 %) or more know (20 %), only a small percentage of them (3.3 %) indicated that such rights are rather unknown. From the group of patients reported that they knew the law 42.9 %, other 28.6 % said they are more familiar, 17.1 % said that it is rather not known and 4 % do not know it at all. Although health workers from the observed group reported greater knowledge of patients' rights than patients themselves, for the application of those rights in nursing practice we consider important in both groups of participants knowledge of the nursing process, patient...

Social Housing in Prague
Černá, Zuzana ; Sládek, Jan (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Markéta (referee)
The thesis aims to map the social housing system in Prague and to contribute to evaluating effectiveness of the policy. The study analyses 15 city districts of Prague, focusing on the conditions and process for selection of tenants. Currently, social housing is not regulated by law and therefore city districts are legally autonomous in decision making. The thesis is explorative, and studies policy documentation (primarily policy of city districts dealing with management stock of dwellings). I then carried out semi-structured interviews with actors of social housing (social services users, social workers of shelter services and officials of city districts). The study pursues a deeper understanding of issues connected with housing needs and the role of social housing as a solution to housing problems, as well as barriers which limit the related process of securing housing. There are two groups of condition (general and specific) which city districts use to regulate social housing. General conditions comprise citizenship, permanent residence, non-ownership of residential property, non-participation in privatization, non-existence of debts to the city (or repayment) and income limits or condition for receiving social benefits. Next, city districts regulate renting a flat by specific conditions, for...
Social communication in the house mouse (Mus musculus)
Černá, Zuzana ; Stopka, Pavel (advisor) ; Havlíček, Jan (referee)
Chemical communication is the most important way of communication in the house mouse. Traditionally, the urine of the house mouse was the most studied source of signals. Typical way of scent marking, relatively simple way of collection and analysis was the main reason. The analysis of physical interaction of two mouse conspecifics has shown that there are several other very important sources of chemical signals. My ethological analysis has revealed that during the first interaction of two individuals of opposite sex, the most investigated body part is the orofacial region, and that the oral contact with salivary exchange is very frequent. At the same time, the results of this research have demonstrated the significant influence of reproductive status on behavioural patterns in individuals of both sex. One of these important sources of chemical signals is the saliva. During the interaction between two individuals, saliva is actively investigated by sniffing and physically exchanged. Gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was used for chemical analysis of saliva. It has revealed that saliva is a sexually dimorphic signal, which may represent individual odour profiles. Uniqueness of this odour is not based on the presence of special substances typical just for one sex, unique is the blend,...
Housework and Free Time, Contradictory Elements of Private Sphere?
Černá, Zuzana ; Balon, Jan (advisor) ; Marková Volejníčková, Romana (referee)
HOUSEWORK AND FREE TIME, CONTRADICTORY ELEMENTS OF PRIVATE SPHERE? Thesis author: Zuzana Černá Thesis supervisor: PhDr. Mgr. Jan Balon, Ph.D. Abstract This thesis examines a relationship between housework and free time. I used the qualitative interviewing which can help us better understand this issue. In contemporary society, free time is an important element of daily life. We are concerned with what it means to us, we evaluate its quality and analyze how it affects our life satisfaction. On the contrary, the housework represents duty and a less popular activity in general. These two elements form time that we spend outside of paid work. In this study I try to explain what housework represents, how it affects our free time and whether these two elements conflict because they together constitute our private life, despite their different nature. The housework becomes more important and demanding during parenthood when it merges with childcare. An important aspect is division of housework between the partners, especially when they can substitute each other. Such division appears to be more efficient and can help both parents gain more free time that happens to be precious during the parenthood. During my research I also found out that housework does not have to be necessarily connected with a negative meaning,...
Prayer in the parables in the Gospel of Luke
Černá, Zuzana ; Brož, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Scarano, Angelo (referee)
The Master's thesis Prayer in the Luke's Parables first deals with the definition of the parable itself: how the modern narratology understands it, how was this literary form used in the Old Testament and in the New Testament connotations. Further, it discusses the Gospel of Luke as a separate literary unit with an editorial plan regarding especially parables, and also describes the circumstances of its inception, the recipients, contemporary realities, etc. The next part outlines the basic teachings on prayer in the Church Documents. Then the thesis separately analyses both the grammar and the interpretation of three particularly important Luke's parables concerning prayer (L 11,513; L 18,18; 18, L 18,914). Their common contribution to Jesus' teachings on prayer is summarized in the conclusion.
