Člověk, který se ocitne v roli pacienta, neztrácí svá práva, ale zároveň zůstává zodpovědným za své jednání. Většina pravidel pro společné soužití platí pro pacienty stejně jako pro všechny ostatní, přesto jsou stanovena zvláštní oprávnění a povinnosti právě pro pacienty. Tato pravidla musí být známa jak pacientům, tak zdravotnickému personálu, aby bylo možné je aplikovat v rámci ošetřovatelské praxe. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat znalost práv a povinností pacientů na vybraných oddělení FN Motol, která může ovlivňovat jejich aplikaci v ošetřovatelské praxi. K výzkumu byl použit nestandardizovaný dotazník ve dvou provedeních, jeden pro pacienty, jeden pro zdravotníky (všeobecné a praktické sestry). Zdravotníci udávali, že práva pacientů znají (76,7 %) nebo spíše znají (20 %), pouze malé procento z nich (3,3 %) uvedlo, že tato práva spíše neznají. Ze skupiny pacientů uvedlo, že tato práva zná 42,9 %, dalších 28,6 % uvedlo, že je spíše zná, 17,1 % uvedlo, že je spíše nezná a 4 % je nezná vůbec. I když zdravotníci z pozorované skupiny udávali větší znalost práv pacientů než pacienti, pro aplikaci těchto práv v ošetřovatelské praxi považujeme za důležité v obou skupinách účastníků ošetřovatelského procesu znalost práv a povinností pacienta rozšiřovat. These rules must be known to both patients and medical staff to be able to apply them in the context of nursing practice. The aim of the study was to explore the knowledge of rights and obligations in selected patients department Hospital Motol, which may affect their application in nursing practice. The research used a nonstandardized questionnaire in two versions, one for patients and one for health professionals (nurses). Professionals reported that patients rights know (76.7 %) or more know (20 %), only a small percentage of them (3.3 %) indicated that such rights are rather unknown. From the group of patients reported that they knew the law 42.9 %, other 28.6 % said they are more familiar, 17.1 % said that it is rather not known and 4 % do not know it at all.
