Possibilities of using plant protein sources in the production of pâtés

The main purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the options of adding high-protein plant-based substitutes of meat to liver pâtés. The aim of this research was to optimize recipes and prepare liver pâtés, in which certain part of meat component (25 % of total amount) was substituted by peanuts, chickpeas or barley groats. Pâté samples were prepared in two sets – a seasoned one and an unseasoned one. The effect of plant substitute on the final product was assessed by sensory evaluation and analysis of selected nutritional characteristics. Crude protein content was determined by Kjeldahl method, fat content and fatty acid profile were analyzed with the use of GC FID. The data obtained by sensory evaluation were statistically assessed. The most widely acceptable sample for assessors turned out to be the standard sample, followed closely by the sample of spiced pâté with addition of chickpeas. Both the seasoned and unseasoned version with groats were found as noticeably less appetizing. Pâtés with the addition of peanuts were determined to have similar contents of crude protein and fat as the standard sample. The samples containing peanuts or chickpeas were proven to serve as a decent substitute for meat from a nutritional point of view, due to their high content of unsaturated fatty acids. Final results of the research clearly show that the spiced samples with the addition of peanuts or chickpeas, as well as the unseasoned sample solely with chickpeas, happen to be an attractive alternative to pure meat pâtés.

Application of the principle of autonomy in the field of death and dying of seniors in the Czech Republic

Diploma thesis "Application of the principle of autonomy in the field of death and dying of seniors in the Czech Republic" primaly deals with issues related to the right to self-determination, human dignity and desires associated with the end of life. It seeks to answer the question of the extent to which the autonomy of the individual can be respected and to participate in end-of-life healthcare decisions through the legal concept of living will, even if the person is in a position that does not allow to express the will. Although this institute is firmly rooted in the legal order of the Czech Republic, awareness of this legal concept is insufficient among the public and rarely used, unlike the Federal Republic of Germany, where the institute is usually applied by seniors. The aim of the work is to reflect the current issues of dying and death from an ethical point of view and provide comprehensive information on the current possibilities of exercising the right to self-determination, which can significantly support the quality of human care in the terminal phase of life.

Detached family house, Trnava

The present Bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of a house in the municipality of Trnava near Zlín. It is a two-storey house with a built-in garage on the first above-ground floor. The house was designed for a four-member family. On the first above-ground floor there is a north-facing hall that adjoins a garage and a staircase area. The open-concept kitchen-living room faces south. The basement of the house represents the living area and it locates a west-facing bathroom of the children, a boiler room, and an east-facing bathroom of the parents. Three bedrooms, two for the children and one for the parents, face south. The peripheral wall constructions are made of surface-ground ceramic brick with external thermal insulation composite system. The horizontal structure is made of reinforced concrete monolithic plate. The building has a pent roof with the slope of 5°. The Bachelor’s thesis is made in the form of detail design documentation.

Experimental Study of Lubrication Films Formation During Start-up and Reversal Motion of Rubing Surfaces

This dissertation is focused on the effects of both artificially produced and real roughness features on mixed lubrication film formation during start-up and reversal of non-conformal contacts operated under rolling/sliding conditions. The start-up operation of mixed lubricated contacts represents one of the transient conditions that bring the risk of the surface damage because of asperities interactions. Chromatic interferograms captured by CMOS high-speed camera during start up of the motion enabled to observe the detailed changes in lubrication film caused by surface features. The observation of the effects of surface dents artificially produced on the ball surface helped to understand better the behaviour of real surface topography. It was found that the presence of shallow surface features can help to separate mixed lubricated rubbing surfaces more efficiently than it could be suggested from the results obtained with smooth surfaces. It can be suggested from the obtain results that properly designed topography of the rubbing surfaces can help to reduce the asperities interactions under transient operational conditions.

The aim of this theses is to create application, which is able to calculate buckling load of structure made from 1D bar elements, using finite element method. introduction is devoted to basic principles of buckling and derivation of necessary formulas. Then are described all operations and numerical methods needed for the application. At the and is in detail analyzed few structures and results are compared with known solutions or with other applications.

Preparation of the company project for financing by help of Structural funds EU One of a few centrally administrated possibilities of how to help a domestic company stand very tough fight on the market is to make use of financial resources provided by EU budget as a help in development of the entering members. These are variant sources that can be obtained despite the very complicated system of administration and that can be used to replace (or to replenish) primary financing e.g. loans or one’s own resources. Within the framework of published appeals for bringing forward the projects, conditions related to supplying these financial means and according to the purpose of these supporting programmes there are several possibilities of financing of our company. This thesis concerns the financial preparation of a project of a small company based on EU structural funds and their proclaimed appeals of Ministry of Industry and Trade. A detailed analysis of the company’s situation as a general base for entrepreneurial projects is accomplished. This analysis is followed by the project appropriate for the application to the administrator.

Microcosm on the Road

Although there is an international vehicular consensus about signing, the maximum speed allowed or connecting the most significant regions together, their nature is different all based on geographical, cultural or social conditions. Rest stops along the roads reflect each country dispositions. Rest stops are the place where different social and national clusters meet. At this moment building up the rest stops is on behalf of the Czech republic which is not that much interested in it. Instead of taking care and maintain them, because the current state of the reststops is not satisfactory, the Czech republic is letting them to the third parties - supranational corporations. This leads to unpleasant lines along the highways accompanying by petrol stations and cheesy fastfoods. There is no place for rest stops without the need of consummation. The Czech republic has currently begun planning and building up new kilometers of highways and the new opportunities of rest stops arise. Because the existing site is overloaded with petrol stations, supranational corporations are no longer interested in these plots. State has an opportunity to take over and redesign these neglected plots on his own.
