Eugenic efforts presentations in special education theory and practice on internal level.
Vojtko, Tibor
The thesis The Reflection of Eugenic attempts in Local Special Pedagogical Theory and Practice deals with the impact of Czech eugenic movement on forming of special schooling, institutional care and generally conditioning attitudes towards disabled people at the turn of the I9lh and 20th centuries-and in the first half of 20th century in Czechoslovakia. The target of the work is to explain the interrelation of the eugenic research of pathological genetically conditioned defects and the development of special care of a disabled person. The introductory part of the text is concentrated on the definition of the scientific field which is the eugenics and the classical eugenism. The research is inspired by the eugenics of Francis Galton (1822-191 I) the English scientist who qualified the eugenics as a relevant scientific discipline which studies social factors which either make better or make worse gender characteristics of next generations of a human being. Eugenics came out of the synthesis of three ways of recognizing: a presumed idea about biological degeneration of people and social and cultural failure of a human society, Darwin's theory of natural selection as a universal mechanism of evolution and revealing of essential rules of heredity and development of modern Mendel's genetics after the year 1900....
Architecture of the First Half of the Twentieth Century in the Western Part of the Ústí Region
Pavlíček, Tomáš
The paper "The Architecture of the First Half of the Twentieth Century in the Western Part of the Ústi Region" ( in the preparation of art pedagogy and its didactical use in the realm of electronic media) covers - as it is obvious from the title - not only the architecture and its pedagogical reflection. In the first part of the paper the author tries to touch a phenomenon of the relationship of the society to the area itself. This phenomenon is significant as it unveils the social relationships and forces which were decisive in not only forming the region, but also influencing the way of interpretating the history, especially the history of the first half of the twentieth century. The main part of the paper consists of a description of the architecture in the interim period between the two world wars, in the identification of its creators, in the discerning of its Czech and German origins. The focus on the Ústi region is not by chance, as it is the home region of the author. The region is defined, starting at Ústi nad Labem going as far as Chomutov. This part traces the architectural development of German creativity in the Czech area and compares it with the Czech product. In our paper we have to note the more conservative approach of the German architects, who combined the procedures of expressionism with...

Lachout, Martin
The submitted work dwells on neurolinguistic and psychoíinguistic aspects of language learning and problems with application of compensative strategies in the process of language difficulties overcoming in the connection with Czech native speakers in German language. The work is divided into three parts. The first part presents theoretical basis of new interdisciplinary subjects of neurolinguistics and psycholinguistics. The second part is also theoretical and it is concentrated on compensative ability to express oneself in a foreign language. The third part is empirical and it bases on a research done at Prague and outside-Prague grammarschools with 176 respondents. According to thoroughly studied specialised literature and consultations with specialists in medicine and psychology, the author tries to deduce some practical conclusions, which could be used by teachers of foreign language teaching both children and adults. In the connection with a certain age human brain works with language in different ways. Human speech is produced not only by our centrál nervous systém but also by our Psyche. The process of verbal communication proceeds in human consciousness in incredible speed. And it is not the sole psychic process but the complex of mutually connected processes. The way in which speech is proceeded in...
Teaching syntax in council schools in the first half of the 20th century
This doctoral thesis is intended as a basic study of the accounting documents from the papyrus archive of Neferre. Some parts of this work shall be used in the near future for the purposes of the publication of the papyrus archive of Neferre. The archive shall be published in collaboration with and under the supervision of Miroslav Verner, and will encompass the previous work of the late Paule Posener-Krh~ger. In Chapter 2, basic information concerning the Abusir papyrus archives is presented. This includes short notions about the discoveries of the three papyrus archives in Abusir, about their date of origin, and about the types of records preserved in these archives. Other known papyrus archives from the Old Kingdom are also mentioned in this chapter. Chapter 3 contains a detailed description of all the fragments of accounts from the archive of Neferre, arranged into subchapters following an elaborate classification of the types of accounts. The descriptions of the fragments are very detailed because this study does not include the translations of the texts.1 Thus, they include as much information as possible, and many suggestions concerning the interpretation of these records were added as well. Chapter 4 deals with specific accounting terminology. Each of the terms is studied in detail and its...
