Víchov cider house and cannery
Gulárová, Aneta ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a new building primarily used for production and storage and secondarily for administrative space. The building is designed in the area of Tachov in the Víchov part of the town of Černošín in the Pilsen region. Access to the land is from the south side of the main road 230 in the direction from Stříbro to Černošín and the second access is from the west side of the dirt road through the village Víchov (the road is currently unused). Both roads are connected by a newly designed road within the plot. The majority of the newly proposed road is used for the supply and removal of goods. The whole concept is designed with respect to the local conditions and referring to the character of the area and also to the investor's requirements. Due to the scale of the village, the height of the building is adapted. The structure of the building is made up of a wall bearing system, where in the part of the administration and warehouses carries a gable roof, which consists of wooden glued trusses. The roof sheathing is made of corrugated metal sheet, which also forms part of the facade. The external façade is made up of timber cladding and cladding made of folded sheet metal. A separate logo was also designed for the building as part of the study, which is located on the front façade of the office building. The proposed building SO.01 will be used as an administrative building for the employees of the cooperage and cannery, who are also part of the production but also administration and management. The building also includes dining facilities for all employees, locker rooms and offices, as well as a showroom for visitors and meeting space for any business meetings of the owner. The building also serves as a representative object of the entire proposal. In the proposed building SO.02 will be located exclusively production or waste warehouse, or warehouse of unprocessed fruit. Dry storage and product storage is not part of the project.
The Sustainable City: Future Timber Buildings
Lacková, Zuzana ; Krištof, Michal (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of sustainable urban development using timber buildings as a means to achieve this goal. It takes into account the knowledge gained in the pre-diploma thesis with the resulting design of a complex of residential buildings and a civic building made of wood in Brno. This ensemble creates a model of the so-called ideal sustainable city, which provides a different perspective on contemporary urban design. Nowadays, sustainable urban development is one of the main issues in urban planning and architecture. With the growing awareness of environmental and economic challenges, there is an increasing demand for alternative solutions to ensure the viability and prosperity of urban environments. Within this context, timber buildings are gaining increasing attention as an environmentally and economically viable solution for urban construction and planning. Wood as a building material has unique properties that make it attractive for the urban environment. Its versatility, lightness, thermal insulation properties, and unique aesthetic potential make it an ideal material for modern buildings. In addition to being a renewable resource, its construction and use have a minimal environmental impact compared to traditional building materials.
Petržalka - a sustainable city
Pružincová, Mária ; Pech, Zbyněk (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
The entire world is trying to achieve carbon neutrality. Mitigation measures and carbon footprint compensations are the top topics of political summits in a developed society. However, if we want to think about future generations, we must talk about sustainability. How can we achieve carbon neutrality in a sustainable way, so that the steps we take have a long-term positive impact and are not just temporary patches on a leaky system? We have long known that it is not enough to install solar panels on roofs. It is not enough to build new neighbourhoods based on a modern low-emission principle. We must primarily focus on the development of what we have already built and into which we have already invested a considerable amount of energy and resources. Panel housing estates are a specific settlement structure that has become an integral part of the image of the cities in our region. Prefabrication resulted in typified elements and objects that are their characteristic manifestation, but each housing estate also has its unmistakable specifics. The development of Petržalka was unregulated for a long time. While new neighbourhoods with thousands of new residents were emerging on the periphery, the development of the inner city, with a few exceptions, stagnated. This area hides the greatest potential. Discussions about the fate of panel housing estates have shifted from radical humanisation through their sanitation to the preservation of their architectural values. Today we must move even further. In times of climate crisis and resource scarcity, it is essential to also think about sustainability and reducing global warming. The Sustainable Development Manual aims to create a set of measures that will lead the Petržalka locality Dvory IV to environmentally and socially sustainable development. The proposed measures are the result of analytical work based on qualitative research and a search of professional literature. The cornerstone of the manual is the identification of the problems of the area under consideration. I defined the problems based on observations and interviews with residents in situ. To gain a deeper perspective in solving the identified problems, I discussed with experts whose specialisation is related to the given topic.
TOWN HOUSE IN A COMPACT CITY, OLD BRNO

The aim of my work was to create quality housing with an emphasis on community relations. Types of apartments are also designed as co-housing with shared areas, community gardens, and leisure activities supporting the association of different age categories. I try to keep as many green spaces as possible and support spending time outdoors. The functional content also includes cultural and educational spaces as well as spaces for physical activities, which are available to both residents and the general public.
City within the City / "Trnitá City Block"
Solár, Michal ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The area of today's southern center of Brno was determined from the very beginning by the location of the rivers Svratka, Svitava and their drives, which defined the southern part of the city as a fertile area suitable for cultivation. After the advent of industrialism, the city transformed rapidly. The southern area was transformed from smaller villages into industrial units, which, due to the proximity of water and the newly established railway, expanded after 1838 to the entire vicinity of the Trnitá district. Already in this period, the location of the station by the Svratka River (in the proposed position from 2016) began to be considered, but due to the waterlogged soil and difficult construction conditions, it was decided for the station under the walls. It was this decision and the unsatisfactory conditions of waterlogged land for the development of the industrial area closer to the Svratka River that caused the suspension of the development of the southern suburbs. The proposal seeks to reflect the context of Brno's apartment buildings in the vicinity of the area, which lacks a comprehensive context and scale. At the same time, however, to solve the environmental problem by proper management of rainwater or the use and design of a recycled perimeter cladding of material obtained after the demolition of other buildings. The building is structurally designed as a combination of a wall system with monolithic, communication cores and the first floor.
Sustainable housing on the edge between individual and collective
Pokrivčák, Marek ; Foltýn, Kryštof (referee) ; Toman, Radek (advisor)
The project of a housing complex on Červený kopec shows the possible ways of modern living. Preference of ecological forms of transport, life in a community near the nature or transport accessibility are some of the main elements of this project. The main division of surfaces dominates the urbanistic aspect of the project. There is the urban and green surface, whose proportion changes based on the character of the place. Somewhere the greenery is dominant, elsewhere it is the urban surface. Then there are surfaces of the community garden and a public park, which clearly defines the relationship between the private and the public spaces.
Spica/ Brno, Nove sady 49°11'20.3"N 16°36'29.4"E
Uhríková, Tatiana ; Havlíček, Tomáš (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The town hall should invite, increase, its activities should be transparent for citizens. Its function should be time-adaptable, its premises should be easy to navigate and it should be a place to live 24 hours a day. The town hall should be the heart, the place of important events, the guardian of the city, the place that people will love. It should be a representative, dignified, efficient and friendly institution. I tried to direct the proposal to this all. The town hall as an organism, as an artery, the heart decisive wisely.

Design of a photovoltaic power system with battery storage for household purposes in area of Brno-mesto
Preto má nižšiu dobu návratnosti šiestich rokov, v porovnaní so siedmimi rokmi v prípade hybridného systému. Hybridný systém je výhodný, pretože umožňuje lokálne ukladanie energie a poskytuje záložné napájanie v prípade výpadku prúdu. Dodávateľ elektriny umožňuje uložiť prebytočnú energiu vyrobenú systémami do virtuálnej batérie, z ktorej je možné počas roka čerpať v čase nedostatočnej výroby energie. V kombinácii so súčasnými vysokými cenami energie majú oba systémy relatívne krátke obdobie finančného bodu zvratu v porovnaní so systémami v minulosti. Finálny výber typu inštalovaného systému je na klientovi.
Visions for Krnov
Kulíšková, Andrea ; Mašek, Radomír (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The new Krnov library stands on the corner of Soukenická and Sv. Spirit, in the junction of the temple of the same name and the former textile factory. The proposed building not only serves as a library and media library, but also houses a full-fledged community center, gallery, coworking facility and cafe. Of course, there is also an increase in parking capacity in the city center and the modification of the surrounding public areas.
