Methods and approaches used in Center Day services for people with intellectual disabilities

Master thesis has theoretical and empirical nature. Its aim is to verify the use and effectiveness of selected methods of working with people with intellectual disabilities in CDS for adults. The theoretical part is devoted to three basic themes. The first issue is devoted generally to persons with MP: MP definition, etiology, classification. Briefly analyzes the life situation of people with MP and their families. The second part focuses on social services to designated persons with MP, especially at day service centers for adults, outlining the personality and noted social worker and current legislation related to that. There is also a subsection dealing with the specifics of working with people with intellectual disabilities. The second part of the educational requirements for closed environments. In the third part present the outline of the four communication approaches. In the practical section describing the application of action research using different approaches in day services for adults with mental disabilities in the center Rolnicka Soběslav.

Quality of life in adults with severe from of the autism spectrum disorder - regional comparison

The present text is focused on analysing the quality of life of adults with severe forms of autism spectrum disorders in important aspects of their lives. We devote 3 chapters to awareness of autism spectrum disorders, descriptions and analysis of important aspects in the lives of persons with severe forms of autism spectrum disorders, as well as the analysis of the self-perceived quality of life of these persons and their parents or direct care takers. The results of the analysis offer answers to the questions, where the essential aspects of the lives of adults with severe autism spectrum disorders are diminished or at risk.

Improving the quality of telecare and its optimization

(in English) This thesis focuses on the quality and optimization of Telecare (emergency care) in the Czech Republic. In the first part, the author addresses the definition of Telecare (emergency care), associated risks, the provision of Telecare (emergency care) in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, the quality of social care, quality standards, methods of quality measurement and inspection, and the target group for emergency care. After the theoretical introduction, the author proceeds to the methodological part, where he attempts to acquaint the reader with the process of the service from the users' perspective. The research utilized a qualitative method of semi-structured interviews with nine participants - three social workers, three dispatchers, and three service users from the organization Anděl Strážný, z.ú. The research yielded several findings: a lack of awareness among healthcare and social workers, insufficient modernization of monitoring equipment, the absence of dispatcher visualization from the users' perspective, and a lack of standardization in both the emergency care itself and the monitoring devices. The influence of activation activities to adaptation of seniors in institutional care

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of adaptation of seniors to residential social services and, as part of a research investigation, examining the influence of activation activities on this process from the point of view of facility staff. Using the active method of the semi-structured process of successful care, the author concludes that active activities largely belong to the client's adaptation to the new institutional environment. The output of the work is then a methodological list designed for the needs of facility workers who implement adaptation groups.

Weaknesses in state support for families caring for a disabled child

The topic of the bachelor thesis is Weaknesses of state support for families caring for a child with disabilities. In the first part of the thesis the current state of the system of support for these families is mapped. Specifically, what benefits are provided and what social services are supposed to help them with their care. Then the main theoretical basis is explained, which is the theory of familialism. The research methodology was conducted in a qualitative manner. The respondents, who were representatives from among parents who care for a child with disabilities, were selected using the snowball sampling method and there were 7 respondents in total. The final respondent was also an actor in the issue, specifically a member of parliament who sits on the social policy committee. Using in-depth interviews with eight different respondents, the different aspects of support to families, their advantages, but mainly their shortcomings are examined. This was first in the area of financial support and then in the area of social services. In the subsequent discussion, the whole issue is then discussed in the context of the theoretical framework of the thesis, i.e. the theory of familiarisation. Applying the profession of an addictologist in selected social services focused on working with the family in Prague

Background: Addiction in various forms is a part of people's lives, often accompanying them throughout their lives. The impacts of addiction are not limited to just the individual for whom addiction is a problem but also affect other family members. Therefore, it is desirable to work with other family members and close individuals using addictive substances when working with addiction clients, seeking together a way to manage the difficult situation. Addiction clients appear in various types of services, including social services, and it is precisely in these services that an addiction specialists with their transdisciplinary theoretical knowledge and skills could contribute to improving the life situations of families seeking social counseling, shelters, or utilizing socially activating services for families with children. Objectives: The aim of the study is to map out the possibilities of employing addiction specialists in selected social services focusing on family work in Prague. The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the development of the economy and fundraising of selected non-profit organization, which is Oblastní charita Blansko. Firstly, there are introduce goals and methods use in this thesis. After the introduction part there is theoretical part which is focused on teoretical terms. The analytical part includes analysis of yields, costs and fundraising activities. This part also includes evaluation of the research. Last part is about proposals for the better economy, following the analytical part.
