The ideal first grade teacher trough the eyes of parents

The thesis surveys the perspective of parents of children attending last class of nusery school and investigates what expectation they have about first grade teachers. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part summarizes existing knowledge the main actors wiho are present in the pupil's transition to the first grade, which are the pupil, the family and the teacher. The practical part is focused on a mixed methods study. In the first part quantitative research is used questionnaire method, the research sample comprises the parents of preschool children. The responses reflext the respondent's opinions about idea about first grade teacher in primary school. First grade teachers react to this parent's idea. The semi-structured group interview method is used to find out whether the parent's ideas seem realistic to them and if they satisfy or prove to satisfy this idea about first grade teacher in primary school. The aims of the thesis is to ascertain, how looks the teacher's ideal by parents, which characteristics parents prefer in relation to pupils and parents and how the first grade teachers react on these ideas. The methods of teaching reading and writing in the 1st year of elementary school with a focus on the study results of pupils

This diploma thesis looks into the used methods of reading and writing in the first grades of elementary school with focus on the outcomes of students' study. In the theoretical field the attention is given to the current concept of teaching the basic reading and writing skills with focus on reading and writing methods, its history, methodology as well as the opinions and comments of the experts. The research itself is by a form of a questionnaire survey aimed on the proportion of the used methods of teaching the initial reading and writing at the elementary schools in Jihlava and its surroundings but also aimed on mapping of the used textbooks within these schools. The research also focuses on the students' outcomes depending on usage of particular methods. The results are analysed and presented by graphs and comments. There also comes the overview of the analysed teaching materials from the Czech publishing houses which are intended for teaching reading and writing in the first grades of elementary school.

Thesis Theme is a primary school, namely the outbuilding primary school Havlíčkův Brod, Konečná 1884. I suggest first grade pavilion and pavilion with school canteen with kitchens. Pavilions are based on the footings. Pavilions are designed as a two-way system from the wall HELUZ. Construction of ceiling are from ferroconcrete slabs are cross reinforced, single-layer roof is flat with a classic sequence of layers. In addition to construction and process layout I solved also the statics of building in specialize of concrete structures. The following are also evaluated heat and acoustic requirements and requirements for fire safety of buildings. New pavilions are solved as wheelchair accessible. Pavilion of the first grade has two floors with 5 classes of stem, 1 vocational and 2 classes are earmarked for after-school clubs. This pavilion is connected to the connecting neck between the former pavilon A and pavilion B. Dining pavilion has one floor, which is divided in the school canteen and kitchen is connected to the connecting neck leading to the gym. The land is mildly sloping to the south side. All consstructions comply with the applicable standards and recommendations ČSN.
The impact of distance learning on the family climate of primary school pupils

The bachelor thesis examines the effect of distance learning on the family climate in the home of a first grade elementary school student. The thesis combines theoretical findings from family psychology and an analysis of the infrastructural requirements of distance education. The practical part includes quantitative research aimed at verifying the expected effects of distance learning on family climate. It concludes with an evaluation of the research findings and the overall impact of distance education during the covid-19 pandemic on family climate.
The role of the teacher´s assistant in child with diabetes mellitus at the first grade of primary school.

The goal of this bachelor´s work is to describe position of the assistent of the pedagogue at the student with diagnosis diabetes mellitus and suggest reducement of negative impacts of special educative needs of the student to the ecucation with a help of assistant of the pedagogue. Bachelor´s work consists of two parts. Teoretical part relyes on special literature. First part specialises in diabetes mellitus, its history, type of diabetes, its acute and chronic complications, aids for treatment of diabetes mellitus 1st type, treatment by insuline pump, nourishment and sport, last two chaptures are interested in student with diabetes at the elementary school. Second part of teoretical part is dedicated to the assistent of pedagogue, his/her aktivity and personal assumptions. Practical part is refering to own qualitative research, when research group was made up from students of chosen elementary schools. Students were chosen from 3 different elementary schools in Prague. Practical part consists of 3 case studies refering to the students at 1st level elementary school with diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. The data collection took place with a help of document study, interviews with parents, teachers and asistents of pedagogues and will be completed by observing. Preparation of this work came out from professional literature and publications, from laws and results of performer research.
Cultivation of mathematical literacy at the primary school level

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the cultivation of mathematical literacy for first-grade primary education pupils. With this aim, several topics, they might encounter outside of school, have been methodically developed. Design research was used to meet the objectives of the work and for proving the functionality of the proposed preparations and then their subsequent modification. During the research, I used methods of observation, interview, questionnaire, and video studies. The theoretical section describes mathematical literacy, in particular, research results and projects to support it. The practical part describes the course of searching for reality-related teaching topics, their processing into preparations for experimental teaching, and verification in practice. The esearch highlights the importance of an educator's self-reflection and the influence of their teaching experience. It demonstrates the difficulty of finding the appropriate topics from ordinary life for adaptation into the tasks for first-grade pupils. As a result of the work, the adjusted verified preparations were created.
Using games and contests in English language teaching at elementary school level.

Abstract This Diploma Thesis deals with using games and competitions in teaching of English for the first level of primary schools. The aim of the thesis is to characterize the role of the game in English language teaching and its possible use in order to develop key language skills. The theoretical part deals with the psychological characteristics of the younger school age, then the theory of play and the developmental stages of children's play. In the last part of the thesis, there are described the different types of didactic games. The practical part consists of two parts. The first part presents didactic games, that are properly commented in terms of general educational and language objectives. Each of them was taught and reflected in terms of its effectiveness. The second chapter of the practical part presents the results of the research, which was conducted in the form of a guided interview with English language teachers at the elementary school, dealing with their experience in using English language lessons at primary school.
Development of children's creativity for leisure activities with various materials

TITLE: Development of children's creativity for leisure activities with various materials AUTHOR: Petra Havířová DEPARTMENT: Department of School Education and Social SUPERVISOR: Ing. Jitka Vodáková, CSc. ABSTRACT: In the theoretical part of this work I was paid the most concise summary of scientific findings on the general theme of creativity and its separation from various angles. In the practical part, I then conducted research with Torranceho creativity tests, which aimed to identify and record the progress and development of creativity in a selected sample of students in primary school, which has been for four months, targeted action. Hypothesis only visible shift in receptive students has not been confirmed. Better test results were found for most students. It surpassed my expectations. Targeted activities for pupils and proved to be a suitable way of developing creativity.
Teaching English to pupils with specific learning disabilities in the first level of primary school

The thesis is focused on teaching students with learning disabilities in the first level of primary school, especially for teaching English to these children. Further, I will focus mainly on finding and verification of teaching methods to be used when teaching English to these students.
