Romana Marková Volejníčková, Ph.D. Year of thesis defense: 2023 Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the abolition of infant institutions and the attitude of social workers of the Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children towards it. It is focused on the opinions of workers regarding the practical feasibility of placing vulnerable children under the age of 3 outside of institutional care, in connection with the amendment to Act 359/1999 Coll. on the social-legal protection of children. As part of the interviews with the informants, it was also determined what "good care" means in their opinion and whether infant institutions can fulfill it. This thesis compares the Ústí Region and Prague and maps whether there are different opinions between them regarding the amendment of the law. Primary prevention of threats of children in kindergarten

The diploma thesis deals with the definition and explanation of the terms primary prevention, endangered child, social exclusion and the context of social exclusion or endangerment of a child by social exclusion with primary prevention. Component part of the work is a detection tool that can help kindergarten teachers in evaluating the child and his situation, so that any problems can be detected in time. Areas that the detection tool deals with and how it has been evolved are described here. It also suggests possible procedures for solving problems based on the cooperation of the kindergarten teacher with a special pedagogue. It points out the shortcomings of the current system and suggests possible changes to the system with regard to streamlining the primary prevention of endangering children (in kindergartens). Component part of the diploma thesis is research based on qualitative and quantitative methods, especially interviews and questionnaire surveys, the aim of which was, among other things, to map the primary prevention of threats to children in kindergartens and to map compulsory preschool attendance. TITLE: Transformation of the substitutional family custody in the Czech Republic AUTHOR: Tamara Müllerová DEPARTMENT: PhDr. Jaroslava Hanušová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This thesis focuses on a current changes in legislation in the department of constitutional care. The beginning of the thesis describes a concept of family, its significance, commission and position in contemporary society along with motives leading to its disfunction and defects directly related to childs needs. Following chapter outlines present forms of a constitutional and a protective custody in the Czech Republic, also includes a comparation of substitutional family custody and substitutional pedagogic care with detailed narration of both. The next part of the thesis presents the main insufficiencies of said system of constitutional care, and reasons which led the Government of the Czech Republic to transform their approach based primarily on the critique from abroad. Ensuing chapter informs of the transformation of the system of constitutional care and its amendments already accepted and supported by several ministries, an entrusting experts and deputies of NGOs (nongovernmental organizations).
