Wireless dalalogger
Linek, Tomáš ; Burian, František (referee) ; Kunz, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a wireless datalogger. It includes a detailed description of the issues related to wireless transmission using LoRa technology, which was utilized in the implementation. Furthermore, the design of the entire device, consisting of a central logging unit and sensor units, is described. The thesis also covers the hardware and software equipment of the wireless datalogger, including a user desktop application. The outcome of the work is the construction of a functional datalogger enabling the logging of temperature and humidity from wireless sensor modules and measurement of its parameters.
Picobaloon s využitím low-power bezdrátových sítí
Kudera, Matěj ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
Aim of this master thesis was to create a small meteorological probe (PicoBaloon) which can record its position and basic meteorological information. Information recorded by this probe has to be transmitted to the user so it can be evaluated. Theoretical portion of this work describes how to create this type of device and which technologies can be used for its implementation. Next, information describing what exactly PicoBaloon is are presented, which are then used to form requirements for this system. Based on described technologies and system requirements final system design was created. Created system consists of two parts. First part is the probe itself which is created on its own piece of printed circuit board. Probe is controlled by a small microcontroller and consists of components that can generate power with a small solar panel, determine its position with GPS, record meteorological information and send recorded information to the user with wireless technology. Second part of the created system is a web application which presents recorded data to the user. At the end of this thesis physical creation and testing of this system is described.
Remote control of an embedded system via a mobile application using data transfer over Bluetooth
Dvořák, Richard ; Friml, Dominik (referee) ; Dokoupil, Jakub (advisor)
This work is focused on programming a mobile application that will be compatible with common mobile operating systems, and demonstrating two-way wireless communication between the application and the specified ESP32 module. Bluetooth wireless technology was chosen for communication between devices, and the mobile application was designed and programmed in the Qt Framework. To demonstrate the functionality of wireless communication, the ESP32 module is configured in the role of an SPP server, to which the mobile device connects in the role of a client.
Design of a wireless unit for controlling a piano pedal by head movement
Mylbachr, Radovan ; Bastl, Michal (referee) ; Adámek, Roman (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the development of a wireless unit for controlling a piano pedal by head movement serving mainly as an aid for disabled electronic piano players. In the theoretical research, the thesis focuses on existing solutions and on the description of the pedal function that the wireless unit is supposed to replace. The practical part of the thesis deals with the design of the electronics, the construction of the protective case and the programming of this unit's prototype, followed by an analysis of the functionality and user-friendliness.
Monitoring the living environment in the house
Dlugoš, Daniel ; Ježek, Michal (referee) ; Staněk, Kamil (advisor)
This work, tries to create a small, rechargeable and portable device that senses temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, dust particles, carbon dioxide and VOC concentration. The air quality monitor can reliably measure the physical quantities encountered in every indoor environment, evaluate them and display them to the user. The sensors, data storage module and OLED display are housed on a custom-made PCB board.
Mobile robot control system
Řezníček, Radek ; Kříž, Vlastimil (referee) ; Hynčica, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with differential drive wheeled mobile robot which is running under a real-time operating system. Introductory part is focused on theoretical description of robot and its original firmware. Practical part deals with creating software and implementation several methods that allow following the line by robot using reflectance sensor array. Significant part of this thesis is focused on design and implementation of communication protocol, based on IEEE 802.15.4 which provides communication between robot and PC. There is also created a PC application that allows to transmit commands to the robot and display information gained from robot.
Data concentrator for data acquisition and wireless modules
Palacký, Tomáš ; Pásek, Jan (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design and construction of a system for repote measurement of air quality in buildings. The first section provides a selection and analysis of used hardware and software components: minicomputer Raspberry Pi, STM32F401 microcontroller, communication module XBee-Pro, CO2 sensor and also communication interfaces IC and USART. The next section includes a design of electrical wiring, circuit board, configuration of the wireless modules and a software implementation for microcontroller and the concentrator.
Exhaustion control system
Bršel, Boris ; Šebesta, Jiří (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
The topic for my bachelor’s thesis is control system of exhaustion for wood industry. It is very broad issue, and since I am without experiences in this division I have chosen to create easier model of exhaustion system. I would like to continue in this project in master´s thesis too. My thesis consists of description the requisites for system like this, draft of the preparation and also practical preparation for joinery manufactory. I have decided to control the parts of system by microcontrollers, which communicate with each other wireless and control activity of system´s parts of exhaustion in workshop. The role of this thesis was also to compare the achieved results with other possibilities of control of exhaustion from the economic and technological points of view.
Terminal for testing of data communication of public transport vehicles
Fiala, Michal ; Holek, Radovan (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
This term paper deals with subject of wireless communication of city rail transport cars. In this paper are described individual modules for transmission and receiving of data containing communication between city rail transport cars and measures of siding switches. Then there are discussed possibilities of design of system for testing functionality of transmitting and receiving modules and the system is consequently designed. There are also described communication principles and protocol used for wireless communication and MODBUS protocol used for communication over RS-485 serial line. In the end was the system manufactured, completed and equipped with necessary software.
Autonomous RC ship model
Jevická, Barbora ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with working on development kit, which is used for RC ship model. The basis are programmable Nucleo STM32 microcontrollers, to which other used modules are connected. The goal is to test each component and create system for navigation of the ship and wireless communication between controller and ship. GPS module and compass are used to navigate and determine the direction of the ship. Controller and ship can communicate through bidirectional wireless modules with antenna. The RC ship model can be switched between manual and autonomous modes. The main result of this thesis is autonomous movement of the ship on to a predetermined GPS coordinates and parallel communication with the user.
