Modern trends in tunnel excavation using TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine)
Hlaváček, Josef ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zeizinger, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the current technology of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) and with the modern trends emerging in this focus area. The first part is devoted to a general description of TBM and the history of their development. The next part of the thesis deals with the different types of TBM and describes the way how they work and where and under what conditions they can be applied. The focus is also given to the comparison of these machines, distributed based on the environment they are designed for. These machines are as well compared with other tunnel boring methods. Subsequently, the application of TBM technology is analysed both on a global scale and within the Czech Republic. The thesis also discusses the frequency of TBM use in the mining industry and its possible potential in this branch. The last part is focused on the recent and possible future development of TBM.
Education of seniors in modern technologies in Luka nad Jihlavou

The theoretical part defines key concepts related to the issues of aging, old age, specifics of senior education, digital technology, or the creation of an educational course. The practical part builds on the theoretical foundations of the thesis and focuses on the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the educational course. It includes the methodology and analysis of feedback from participants, obtained through a questionnaire survey before and after completing the course. Applications such as QR code reader, Emergency, Mapy.cz, WhatsApp, and Translator are introduced. This is supported by the created worksheets, which serve as an...
Influence of digitization and robotization on the management of companies in gastronomy
ŠNICEROVÁ, Nela
The topic of the bachelor thesis is the impact of digitalization and robotization on the management of companies in the gastronomy industry. It focuses on explaining the different types of digitalization and robotization that are used in the gastronomy industry and thus bringing people closer to the technologies that businesses use. Employees can use machines in production to improve and speed up their work, but also not forgetting customers, who can take advantage of the technical aids that businesses offer, such as QR codes in restaurants or self-service boards. However, digitisation is not only about production and order taking, but also about the delivery method, where customers can use apps to have their food delivered to their door. Furthermore, the bachelor thesis describes how digitalization has been able to increase sales for the selected businesses and how people use the modern features they have access to.
