The most common sports injuries of motocross riders and possibilities of their prevention
Syrový, Dominik ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Žáková, Lenka (referee)
Title: The most common injuries of motocross riders and their prevention Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to assess the frequency of sports injuries sustained by motocross riders in the Czech Republic in year 2021. The thesis, based on a questionnaire survey, also discovers standards of usage of protective equipment and the impact of fitness training (including regeneration). Methods: The thesis uses the method of an anonymous non-standardized questionnaire to analyze the most frequent sports injuries as well as the frequency of usage of protective gear, forms of fitness training, and regeneration in 2021. Respondents were approached directly or via hobby communities and groups on a social network. The analysis itself was carried out in Microsoft Excel. Results: The research group was comprised of 128 respondents who were divided into three categories according to their performance level: hobby - 76, competitive - 35, professional - 17. In compliance with the survey results, the riders in 2021 suffered on average 10,6 contusions per person, 1,7 fracture per person (both predominantly of the upper limb), and 4,7 injuries of joint soft tissues or organs (predominantly in the knee area). The number of injuries, as well as aches in dorsal and cervical areas, rose with the higher level of...

Steklík, Aleš ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Novák, Dominik (referee)
Title: Compensatory exercises as one of the possible tools for injury prevention in ice hockey players Objectives: The aim of this thesis was primarily to identify and describe the most common injuries occurring in ice hockey players based on professional articles and available literature. Subsequently, the work was aimed at creating a stack of compensatory exercises (relaxation, strengthening, stretching) that could lead to a reduction in the risk of injuries. Methodology: The work was based on an empirical character. The findings from the literature were used. On the basis of the literature, consultations with physiotherapists and own experience, compensatory exercises were designed, which focused on the prevention of injuries in ice hockey players or on the elimination of imbalances or on exercises typical for the development of ice hockey players. Conclusion: Based on the literature and articles, it has been found that the most common injuries in ice hockey players are due to overload and contact with an opponent. Ice hockey players spend most of their time on the ice during games or training or spend time on conditioning. However, they forget about compensatory exercises. As a result, muscle imbalances occur due to unilateral loading and this causes many negative changes in the musculoskeletal...
The most common injuries in tennis and their prevention
Kotova, Klara ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pravečková, Petra (referee)
Tennis is one of the most popular sports around the world. Due to the dynamics of movement and unpredictable shots and strikes, it ranks among the sports with a high percentage of injuries. This thesis dealt with the analysis of the most common types of injuries in this sport, both in professional players and recreational players. The aim was to find out what these injuries are, in which areas of the body and what their possible prevention is. According to the analysis of many studies and researches, it was found that the most frequent injuries occur in the upper limbs, and more so in professional players. For recreational players, it is more likely to be the lower extremities, although some studies contradict each other. In order to prevent these injuries, it is advisable, in addition to appropriate training, strength training, stretching, warm-ups and other preventive physical activities, to also address the issue of appropriate equipment, adaptation to the playing field, selection of appropriate footwear and a healthy lifestyle. By means of a descriptive analysis, the main and available studies in this area were presented, which introduce the latest trends and challenges for the future. Key words: tennis, injury, prevention, stretching, exercise, rehabilitation.
The effect of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation on the dynamic stability of the lower limbs among the female softball players
Borůvková, Kristýna ; Srbová, Radmila (advisor) ; Froňková, Eliška (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on dynamic stability in junior softball players and examines the possibilities of influencing it with interventions based on proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. The theoretical part of the work defines basic concepts, the practical part consists of a professional study. The female players of the selected sample were divided into experimental and control groups and their dynamic stability was measured by the Y-Balance test. The results were subsequently compared with the standardized deviation, which shows the limit of the risk of injury to the lower extremities. The measurements performed neither confirmed nor disproved whether it is possible to influence the dynamic stability of the lower limbs using proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation.
