Stehlíková, Alžběta ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Reckziegelová, Petra (referee)
Title: Efficacy of the unimodal physiotherapy intervention Running Gait Retraining in the treatment of runners' iliotibial band syndrome - a systematic review Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to evaluate whether the unimodal physiotherapy intervention running gait retraining is an efficacious treatment of the iliotibial band syndrome in runners. Methods: The thesis was carried out in the form of a systematic review. Eligible studies were searched for in the following electronic databases from December 2023 to January 2024: PubMed, SCOPUS, SPORTDiscus, Web of Science. Selected studies which met the specified inclusion criteria were then analysed to answer the research question, i.e. whether it is efficacious to use running gait retraining only to treat runners with iliotibial band syndrome. Results: Only 1 study met the inclusion criteria (an experimental case study), the results of which suggest that running gait retraining used as a unimodal physiotherapy intervention in the treatment of the runners' iliotibial band syndrome might be an efficacious therapeutic approach. Considering the low-level evidence of the included study, however, the results cannot be generalized. In the future, the efficacy of this treatment approach needs to be evaluated on the basis of a larger scale research of a...

Leszkow, David ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Reckziegelová, Petra (referee)
Title: Differences in Approaches to Prevention and Therapy for Female and Male Football Players with ACL Injuries - A Systematic Review Objective: The main aim of this thesis is to investigate whether there are different approaches to the prevention and treatment of ACL injuries in male and female football players. Methods: The thesis is prepared as a theoretical text in the form of a systematic literature search using PubMed, Web of Science and PEDro databases. The first part of the thesis contains the current status of the studied issue, theoretical background and treatment options for ACL injuries. The second part is descriptive-analytical in nature. It contains an analysis of the studies included in the thesis. Results: After the search, 4 studies met the criteria. Each of them focused on injury prevention, but unfortunately none of them investigated physiotherapy as such. However, the evaluation of the studies shows that both men and women use the same prevention programmes in football, which can reduce the risk of injury by up to 50 %. A limitation of the search is that most of the studies used did not examine the effect of prevention on both sexes simultaneously. Keywords: ACL, LCA, přední zkřížený vaz, ruptura, plastika, prevence, poranění, fyzioterapie, rehabilitace, postup, ženy, muži,...

Title: The Impact of Alcohol Consumption on Gross and Fine Motor Skills of Individuals Objectives of the thesis: The main objective of my thesis is to assess an immediate effect of alcohol on selected tasks from the area of fine and gross motor skills. First identified were the average values for selected tests in sober individuals, and then the values with an increasing level of alcohol in blood. The second objective is to differentiate whether or not are fine and gross motor skills affected upon the same alcohol level in blood. Methods: The required data were obtained on the basis of experimental measurements on 12 probands (6 women and 6 men) who were tested for fine motor skills using three non- standardized tests modified or created for the purpose of this experiment: threading beads on a string, unlocking locks and dropping coins to a moneybox. Gross motor skills were tested using stabilometric platform in a standing position with legs together and with open eyes for 30 seconds. The observed parameter in the fine motor skills test was the time, while in the stability test it was the track of COP; each fine motor skills test was performed three times in each round. In the second and in each subsequent round every proband was administered 0.3 g of alcohol per kg of weight. The total number of...
