REVITALIZATION AND SPATIAL CULTIVATION DOMINICAN MONASTERY IN ZNOJMO

The project deals with the revitalization and spatial cultivation of the Dominican monastery with adjacent parish in Znojmo. The monastery is located near the castle walls in the historic center of Znojmo, on the street Dolní Česká. Gradually, should be its conversion from the original method of use to a new use, in order not to delay construction and degradation due to an empty object. The complex, its location and the actual functionality offers precondition for the formation of a community center with associated social housing. The community center should use the premises of the monastery, along with commerce and parishes. Living on the contrary, the rectory and the newly created mass in the courtyard.

Activities of the Congregation of the Daughters of Divine Charity at Veltrusy in the years 1921-1950

The Bachelor᾽s thesis aims to introduce the Congregation of the Daughter of Divine Love (FDC) and its contribution primarily in the field of education. For more detailed research, the location of Veltrusy was chosen. The work of Congregation had the greatest impact there in the running of the "Sancta Maria" boarding school. The time span of 1921-1950 corresponds to the duration of the sisters at Veltrusy. Another target of my study was the depiction of an interesting and almost forgotten theme from the history of the town, whose name is often associated with the chateau, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. So, it falls not only within the realm of monastic but also regional history. For the purpose of introduction to the issue is introduced as first of all the historical development of the congregation FDC and history of female education in the modern era. The next chapter devotes to the Congregation itself and its extension to Czechoslovakia. Then there is focus on the activities of sisters FDC at Veltrusy. The Bachelor's Thesis deals with the work of sisters in the context of difficult historical events. The topic is processed through narrative, written sources, and secondary literature. Haptic model of the Church and the Monastery of Oblation to the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ceske Budejovice

This thesis called Haptic Model of the Monastery of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is composed of two parts, theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part is dealing with selected period of Christian monastery complexes history. There are also mentioned some of the significant events of Christian world, that indisputably have influenced developement of monastic structures. Later on there is described the historical developement of the Monastery of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in České Budějovice (Budweis). The last chapter focuses on issues of people with visual impairment. The practical part of this thesis is based on creating of haptic model of the Monastery of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in České Budějovice in approximate measuring scale 1:125, which is supposed to be used primarily by visually impaired as a haptic-tactile aid, so that they can create an ideal image of shape of the monastery complex.

Importance of discalced Augustinians as the art submitters in Bohemia between year 1623 and Joseph's II. reforms

The introductory chapter fills a completely blank space concerning the history, organisation and spirituality of the Order of the Discalced Augustinians in the Czech context. The existing literature has so far only briefly outlined this topic; however, it cannot be explored with no knowledge of the 20th -century professional Italian research works or the preserved resources produced by the General Curia in Rome and the 18th century literature of the Order. The thesis also provides a general overview of the activities of the Czech mon asteries of the Discalced Augustinians in the period context, also reflecting the in fluence of the Order on the spiritual and cultural life of the laymen, an influence which, as regards the monastery in Lnare, extends into the early 20th century. The extant resources have helped to describe relations between the members of the Order and the outside world, be it the links to the local clergy or laymen, espe cially burghers and nobility or its dependants. The relationship between the famil ies who financed the foundation of the two latest monasteries (Lnare and Lysa nad Labem) and the monastic community is the focus of specific attention. Premonstratensian Monastery and Saint Giles Church in Milevsko

This dissertation focuses on the constructing and architectonic development of Premonstratensian monastery and the church of St. Giles of Milevsko in the Middle Ages. The work is based on the older art historical literature and it evaluates the archaeological researches' findings in the locality as well as construction and historic researches of particular buildings, which were carried on with connection to the restitution of the site to the Premonstratensian order in the 1990s. The work demonstrates the Milevsko grounds picture and its construction as well as architectonic development from the establishment of the pre- monastery era in the eighth century until the Hussite's wars. The dissertation provides study of court with a church with apsis, stone Romanesque house and the basilica. It characterises the George of Milevsko personality as well as the significance of the abbot Jarloch. It analyses in detail the Roman architecture of St. Giles Church and attempts to interpret the procedure of its construction. Furthermore, it deals with the shape of the monastery's basilica and the description of Romanesque monastic buildings while comparing the premises to other monastic sites in this country.
