Liquid Crystal-Based Computational Platform
Klázar, Jakub ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
This work explores the possibilities of computations in a liquid crystal, specifically focusing on the logical operations. The text focuses on the design, build and use of a platform for performing experiments on computation in a liquid crystal. The platform is a device to which an LCD display can be connected as a experimental liquid crystal and experiments can be controlled from a computer through this platform. Experiments use, among other things, evolutionary algorithms. Further, the paper deals with the execution of experiments, discussion and processing of results and then creating conclusions of it.
Automatical plant growing
Stupka, Tomáš ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Götthans, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design and an automated hydroponic station, which will be intended for the cultivation of herbs and vegetables for the purpose of user. The station will be controlled by a Raspberry Pi minicomputer, to which a number of sensors will be connected, which will check pH, EC, ambient temperature and other quantities. Furthermore, an external sensor with an ATMEGA328P control processor will be designed to check the ambient lighting parameters. A web interface will be created for the station, which will allow the user to follow the development of individual measured quantities over time.
A System for Monitoring Vehicle Fuel Consumption
Lazárek, Zbyněk ; Kolář, Dušan (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a system that can detect fuel theft from vehicles. The systemconsists of a hardware device located in the monitored vehicles and information systemthat makes it possible to determine when and where the theft occurred. The thesis describesthe components of the hardware device and individual functionalities of the informationsystem.
Lighthouse for maritime communication
Chadima, Jan ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design and construction of lighthouse model, which will be used for teachning. It describes types of naval signalizacion, which are established by organization IALE in decree E-110. In thesis is described Arduino platform, metods of 3D printing and used materials For model needs was designed printed circuit board with microcontroller ATmega328P, which control RGB LED. Program, which control model, was writed on Arduino platform. Program has nine modes of sea light comunication. It can change periode, color of LED, brightness and turning on power saving mode. The result of this work is a functional model of lighthouse powerd by battery. Model is based on Green Cape Lighthouse in Australia in scale 1:58.
Modular Simulator of Microcontroller
Vosyka, Pavel ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of new simulator with possibility of supporting multiple types of microcontrollers and has its own graphical user interface. The user interface was implemented using the QT graphical framework. Support for the ATmega328p microcontroller was added to the simulator using the simavr library. Three electrical circuits were modeled as microcontroller surroundings, these are switch, LED and RC circuit. The simulator was implemented in C++ and its functionality was verified. The result of this work is a functional simulator supporting simulation of microcontroller ATmega328p.
Wireless Sensory Network Using LoRa Technology
Mikulášek, Michal ; Pokorný, Jiří (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses in the first half on the Internet of Things and the available wireless technologies for the Internet of Things. Each technology is characterized by its features, pros and cons, as well as the possibilities of using it in the Internet of Things. In the second half of the thesis, a practical design and construction of a LoRa network, consisting of a sensory and a central unit, is carried out. The parts of the solution are designed wiring schemes, printed circuit boards and detailed photo documentation. Additionaly the software solutions for both types of units are described, with detailed descriptions of the proposed features. The maximum possible range is tested and documented for the entire solution. Subsequently, a detailed measurement of the power consumption of the sensor unit is carried out and an extensive estimation of its battery life for a selected battery.
Automated garden system for outdoors
Stupka, Tomáš ; Povalač, Aleš (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this semester work is to design and implement an automated irrigation system for use in a family house based on the Raspberry Pi platform and AVR processors with the possibility of automatic adaptation to outdoor temperature and humidity conditions. The design also includes a web interface using the NodeRED interface for manual control and monitoring of data collected from individual wireless sensor modules
Datalogger
Štupák, Branislav ; Bejček, Ludvík (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the datalogger development for monitoring roof constructions ambients of historical buildings. The device is made of microcontroller ATmega328P and is using simple principles of environment monitoring. The device saves measured data to SD card from air temperature, air humidity, light intensity, wood moisture and air flow sensors. In conclusion of the thesis are then succesfully tested and summarized the properties of designed datalogger’s sensors.
Development of a system for measuring the motor skills of small animals
Ryšavá, Michaela ; Götthans, Jakub (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The main objective of the project was to explore methods of motion measuring using sensors, select a suitable method, create a system and a application for measuring the speed of small animals. It is a dedicated project to measure a research in coperation with Masaryk university, which aimed to explore the the mobility of lizards living in the Czech Republic. In particular, commercial systems provide a solution by analyzing camera data. For the desired speed measurement of various shapes, the implementation of image processing is cost-ineffective and more complicated than using electronic sensor solutions. The most appropriate solution an infrared optical gate appears, due to constant results accuracy when changing the colors and sizes of measured individuals, small size and relatively easy implementation. Furthermore, a straight track and an electronic system using the selected optical gate concept has been constructed and implemented software for control and evaluating the entire measurement.
Smart charger with cell identification
