Preparatory exercises to eliminate the most common faults in hurdles
Petřík, Pavel ; Jandová, Soňa (advisor) ; Kašpar, Ladislav (referee)
Diploma thesis is focused on the mistakes of hurdle running. Technical performance is very often ignored to the exclusion of training intensity and volume. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the technical faults and then describe preliminary exercises that will improve the technical performance of the different parts of hurdle running. In the theoretical part, the readers are introduced to information related to hurdle running (start, technique, rhythmic unit, etc.). In addition, the theoretical part introduces several aspects that lead to improving hurdling performance, such as strength, speed, and other skills. Lastly, the connection between psychology and sport is mentioned, where learning and temperament are mainly discussed. A very peripheral view of the philosophy of sport is mentioned in the thesis. Subsequently, we have taken pictures and analyzed them and named the most common mistakes in hurdling technique. We then applied preliminary exercises for 10 weeks and then took a second picture record. After the intervention program, we verified the athlete's progress. In most cases, the program worked as expected, only in one case the expected result did not occur. The last subchapter deals with the alternative use of obstacle courses in school physical education classes. The thesis then...
Development of Pupils' Algorithmic Thinking Through Game Projects in Scratch
Benýšek, Vojtěch ; Štípek, Jiří (advisor) ; Černochová, Miroslava (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of developing pupils' algorithmic thinking through gaming projects in the Scratch development environment. The main goal of the work was to create a set of interconnected lessons (a course) in Scratch, which could be used as educational material in computer science classes to develop algorithmic thinking of students aged 8-10 years. The theoretical part mainly addresses the concept of computational, or rather, algorithmic thinking, relying on the study of professional sources. It focuses on explaining and defining these terms, identifying the possibilities of developing algorithmic thinking with an emphasis on programming. To find further approaches to the development of algorithmic thinking, both the Czech Republic's educational plan and those of selected European countries were analyzed. The insights gained in the theoretical part were subsequently utilized in the practical part, i.e., in creating the course itself. This course consists of ten lessons, the main content of which is project creation. To motivate students, it was decided that the projects would always be games. The lessons, besides the possible solution procedure, also contain methodological notes, which alert teachers to potential pitfalls or inform them how to present the given topic. The...

Selected places of memory in Chodsko
Kroc, Jakub ; Koura, Petr (advisor) ; Parkan, František (referee)
This bachelor thesis aims to describe the history of the creation and subsequent second life of two selected monuments in Chodsko. This includes a description of the initial idea regarding the creation of the monuments, the course of fundraising activities, the selection of the author, the unveiling ceremony, and the subsequent second life of the monument during the World War II. The thesis also looks at how the buildings were received by the general public and places the selected monuments in the context of the period. The primary sources of information are mainly contemporary documents, periodicals, correspondence from individual committees, chronicles and photographs. In describing the events or persons to whom the monuments are dedicated, the work is based primarily on scholarly literature.
What hinders the recovery of zooplankton communities in acidified lakes?
Jůzek, Václav ; Sacherová, Veronika (advisor) ; Kaňa, Jiří (referee)
Acidification of soil and water environments, which emerged with the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, became a major ecological problem of the 20th century. The increase in emissions and subsequent deposition of acidifying substances into the environment has caused a significant decline in abundance and biodiversity of aquatic organisms in European and North American lakes. Emissions causing acidification have been reduced since the 1990s, yet aquatic ecosystems are not returning to their pre-acidification state. This thesis concludes the factors affecting the course of chemical and biological recovery of aquatic ecosystems affected by atmospheric acidification. The reviewed literature shows that communities newly established in acidified waters seek a new ecological equilibrium, and thus recolonization of native species is not limited by merely unsuitable water chemistry itself. Bohemian forest lakes have also been affected by acidification and are now in the process of recovering. The main factors affecting the recovery of natural zooplankton communities in lakes are high aluminium concentrations, periodic pH fluctuations, catchment characteristics and, more recently, climate change and associated bark beetle-induced tree dieback. Keywords: acidification, recovery, zooplankton, Bohemian...
Political trial with Stanislav Zela and Co.
Záveský, Miroslav ; Koura, Petr (advisor) ; Zeman, Kryštof (referee)
The political trial of church leaders in January 1950 is one of many examples of the mass illegality of the time. On the basis of archival sources stored in the National Archive and other memory institutions, I want to describe the course of the investigation, which was the responsibility of the State Security. Thanks to the preserved transcripts, I will be able to reconstruct the exact course of the trial. I want to combine archival sources with press reports to create a plastic picture of this political trial. I would like to conclude my work with a brief description of the imprisonment of the convicted priests in Czechoslovak prisons.
A young man with stuttering
Miškovská, Klára ; Horynová, Jana (advisor) ; Kotvová, Miroslava (referee)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is a young adult with stuttering. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part contains three chapters. The theoretical background of the thesis was prepared by a research of Czech and foreign literature and electronic information sources. The first chapter defines stuttering, then describes the etiology, symptomatology and classification of stuttering. In the second chapter attention is paid to speech therapy intervention in stuttering. Speech diagnostics of stuttering and speech therapy for stuttering are described in more detail in two subchapters. The third theoretical chapter presents current research on stuttering in adults. These researches were conducted in the Czech Republic and abroad. The theoretical part is followed by the empirical part, which is presented in the fourth chapter. The main aim of the empirical part of the bachelor thesis is to identify and describe the life course of a young adult with stuttering. In order to fulfil the aim of the thesis a qualitative research method was chosen. A case study was used as the main research design for the research investigation. The main methods of collecting relevant data to construct a case study of a young adult with stuttering were document analysis,...
Women of important composers, involved in music
Chvalová, Viola ; Palkovská, Jana (advisor) ; Tichá, Libuše (referee)
In this thesis, I summarize the personal and professional profiles of a selection of musically active women who lived alongside prominent composers. These are six women artists from the Baroque to the 20th century. In each chapter, a different element of their lives became the focus of my interest. Sometimes, given the paucity of reliable sources of information (especially in relation to the Baroque period), this is merely a summary of hypotheses, sometimes I focus more on the professional side of the personality, and sometimes on personal and family matters. The thesis deals with sections of music history with which the general public is not so familiar and yet which I suppose deserve to be known. I focus on the virtuoso of the seventeenth-century harpsichordist Marie-Rose Dubois, who, alongside her husband J. B. Forqueray, was a concert artist, the singer and important creator of the Bach manuscripts Anna Magdalena Bachová, the outstanding singer of the classical period Josefina Dušková, the wife of the Czech composer F. X. Dušek. I also deal with the harpist and composer Sophie Corri-Dussek, wife of the musical bohemian J. L. Dusik, the most important 19th century pianist Clara Schumann and the opera singer Berta Lauterer, partner of the Czech composer J. B. Foerster. There are, of course, many...

Author: Bc. Veronika Stejskalová Supervisor: PhDr. Jitka Malá, PhD. Title: Comparison of the Effect of Ultrasound Therapy and High-Power Laser Therapy on the Treatment of Heel spur Objectives: This master's thesis examines and compares the effectiveness of high-power laser therapy with therapeutic ultrasound in the treatment heel spur. Heel spur is a painful condition associated with irritation of the plantar fascia, often leading to restricted mobility and reduced quality of life for patients. The aim of this study is to analyse how these two treatment approaches affect the course of the disease. We expect that this study will provide useful insights into whether high-power laser therapy is effective in treating plantar fasciitis and contribute to a better understanding and improvement of treatment protocols for this condition. Methods: A total of 30 subjects meeting the inclusion criteria were included in the experiment and randomly assigned to two groups. Evaluative parameters included the visual analog scale for pain, range of motion in dorsiflexion at the ankle joint, modified Timed Up and Go Test, and the WHO 5 Well-Being Index. Testing was conducted prior to initial therapy, after the final therapy session, and 6 weeks after the last therapy session. To assess the effectiveness of laser...
