Radar-Based Measurement for Speed Disciplines
Piňos, Michal ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is radar-based measurement for speed disciplines. For this purpose, the Doppler radar with continuous wave was used, K-MC4 to be specific. Standard signal processing techniques were used to extract the speed information from the radar signal. The key method for obtaining Doppler frequency from signal is Fourier transform. Cosine effect is compensated based on the computed angle. The result of this work is a detector capable of measuring speed and direction of measured objects. Implemented solution also allows the detection of certain objects.
Vehicle Classification Using Radar
Raszka, Aleš ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This Master thesis deals with usage of radar signal for vehicle classification. The thesis uses radar modules with continuous wave based on Doppler effect. Radar signal is processed by a series of signal processing method finished by Fourier transform. Data produced by FFT is used to create SVM and AdaBoost classifier which can be used to classify vehicles into groups.

Part of the thesis forms design, production and testing of prototype of block enabling communication of diagnostic subsystem and function of testing generator for secondary surveillance radar.
Radar Signal Processing for Radio Altimeter
System Analysis of Quality Management in DERATEX Company
Drbálek, Jaroslav ; Černá, Anna (advisor) ; Nesládek, Ivan (referee)
Quality management of services is a process, which is not possible to manage without a quality management system conception for many companies. The descriptions of expressions, approaches and principles complement a basic overview of existing attitudes to the system of quality. This thesis focuses on the ISO conception. It describes the most used model of an approach to the quality management system in Czech republic, because it offers suitable tools for managing and evaluating of the quality of services. The aim of this paper is to determine an objective state of the quality management system in the company by doing the analysis, which uses the RADAR logic framework methology in the 2013 version. The areas with proposals for the improvement within the company are based on the differences of the evaluation.
The perception of the National Quality Award of the Czech Republic
Pánková, Barbora ; Plášková, Alena (advisor) ; Koten, Petr (referee)
The objective of this diploma thesis is to map the opinions of organisations and the public on the value and benefits of the National Quality Award of the Czech Republic based on the realised survey. The results of this survey are used to reason the suggestions to improve the importance of the prize and its perception in the society. Apart from the general quality conception, the theoretical part of the thesis also includes the presentation of the EFQM Excellence Model principle that represents a base for the National Quality Award of the Czech Republic. The particular programmes of this prize are also presented - the ones the organisations may apply for. The practical part contains the analyses and data evaluations from the questionnaires that were answered by organisations as well as the respondents from the public. The practical part also includes the review of the quality prizes awarded abroad.
Algorithm for synchronization of radar air situation
Vilušínský, Zdeněk ; Kolovratník, David (advisor) ; Týnovský, Miroslav (referee)
The subject of this work is analysis and creation of an algorithm which would be able to find, based on input data from reference and measured radar air situation, a transformation od measured situation towards reference and finally valuate its usefulnes in practice. Program input is a file with measured data from both air situations. This work includes several examples of input date, which were used for testing purposes of algorithm. Output are values of several errors that manifests in examined situation.
Testing selected theoretical approaches concerning the building of a US radar base in the Czech Republic
Holý, Petr ; Karlas, Jan (advisor) ; Drulák, Petr (referee)
The aim of this work is to test the ability of three selected theoretical approaches to explain the response of the Czech Republic to the American offer to build the ABM radar device on the Czech soil. These theories are: neorealism, utilitarian liberalism and constructivism. Each of these approaches looks at the social reality from a different perspective which allows us to view the issue in its complexity and diversity. Each theory also uses a different set of independent variables to explain the behavior of the Czech government in this case (these variables are: autonomy and influence for neorealism; domestic interests for liberalism and international and domestic norms for constructivism). Thanks to this variety of variables we are enabled to critically evaluate which key factors played the crucial role in the Czech decision-making process in this particular issue and possibly also to point out some assumed regularities which might play an important role in forming of the Czech security policy as such. The main task of the first chapter is to provide some broader historical and political context of the case. Next three chapters are then dedicated to testing of the theories by comparing their deductively phrased hypothesis with the value of dependent variable, which for our work is represented...
Utilization of Radar Echo Extrapolation for Quantitative Precipitation Forecast
Frolík, Petr ; Novák, Petr (advisor) ; Žák, Michal (referee)
Title: Utilization of radar echo extrapolation for quantitative precipitation forecast Author: Petr Frolík Department: Department of Meteorology and Enviroment Protection Supervisor: RNDr. Petr Novák, PhD., ČHMÚ Supervisor's e-mail address: petr_novak@chmi.cz Abstract: At present time weather radar data are essential for national meteorological services. Utilization of this data for quantitative precipitation forecast and severe weather prediction for short period (nowcasting) becomes more and more common. Increasing interest for quantitative precipitation forecasts can be noticed in hydrological applications, where it can give early warning on flash floods and can improve large scale precipitation forecasts. This paper verifies usability of COTREC nowcasting method based on extrapolation of radar echo for quantitative precipitation forecast. Quality of COTREC forecast up to 3 hours was investigated on data from 1.4.2006 to 30.9.2006. Comparison of COTREC method with Aladin NWP model forecasts was also made. Hourly mean precipitation estimates on catchments were chosen for comparison because of verification focused mainly on utilization of the forecasts in hydrological applications. Forecasted precipitation estimates were compared with optimal operationally available precipitation estimate - adjusted radar...
Framework of political communication participants in Czech internet periodics
Nejedlá, Tereza ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Křeček, Jan (referee)
The diploma thesis "Framework of political communication participants in Czech internet Periodics" analyse the way Czech internet news webs portray reality, how they transform it and construct under their own demands. Through analyzing two significant Czech events in 2008 - the case of Prague culture fundation and the case of the general treaty on American radar base in the Czech Republic underwriting - it describes not only the particular frames, in which Czech webdailies arrange media communication participants, but it also intends to describe Czech webdailies background within the way they use the audiovisual components in their news, who are their news sources and how their work is influenced by citizen journalism and blogging phenomena.
