Vandasová, Anna ; Wiendl, Jan (advisor) ; Binar, Vladimír (referee)
The thesis focuses on Jan Zahradníček, a Czech poet, at the time when he was the editor of Akord, a literary magazine, and provides an analysis of this activity. The core of the thesis is preceded by chapters introducing the issues of the poet's life and work and providing basic information about the previous period of the magazine. Then I try to expound how Zahradníček edited the magazine and against what unfavourable circumstances he had to fight during the occupation and after the liberation. I characterize the basic contents of individual volumes, sections and their changes, and the texts of the most significant contributors. Chronological history of level and score gaming magazine
Möwald, Jaromír ; Švelch, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kučera, Štěpán (referee)
The theme deals with the basically unknown history of Czech gaming magazines Level and Score, which were published (and are published) over the years from 1994 to 2010. As far as I'm concerned, no student has ever attempted to analyze their market position, causes of the eventual end and the causes of success. My work has a goal to determine the cause of the success of these two magazines, contact those persons, which were involved in the production of magazines, make in-depth interviews about their past work and the overall functioning of the magazines, breaking down the specific causes of eventual fall of the magazines from available sources and explain why the magazines remained on the Czech market until today. The result should be a structured overview of both magazines, their insertion in the historical timeline and an interesting insight into their functioning.
Modern lingual tendencies of czech music journalism
Morochovičová, Eliška ; Kraus, Jiří (advisor) ; Vedral, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the infiltration of modern tendencies into Czech music journalism. These tendencies represent a wholly new approach to the general standards of journalism, its language and stylistics. Young authors analyzed in this thesis prefer to take rather individualistic approach to music and its reflections. Based on the study of the New Journalism and gonzo journalism in American journalism and literature, and with the application of the general standards of Czech journalism I look into the particularities of those new tendencies, describe their development in various media and analyze the written language of a number of authors. In my thesis I concentrate on various music media dated from the 1990's until now. I analyze a couple of music magazines for interest groups, the modified forms of modern tendencies in music sections of the mass media and the contemporary form of individualistic journalism in music media on the Internet.
The World speaks-magazine radio listeners, fans of gramophone records and friends of good movie
Cahová, Daniela ; Köpplová, Barbara (advisor) ; Suk, Pavel (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the development and content of a magazine for radio listeners, fans of gramophone records and fans of good movies. This magazine was called "Přehled rozhlasu" (between the years 1932 and 1934), later (until 1939) it was called "Svět mluví". Vilém Práger was the publisher and editor of this independent magazine which represented the opinions of radio listeners and brought them important information and opinions from inside and also outside of the radio. It was a key alternative for similar magazines which were produced by the Radiojournal company itself (these two magazines were called "Radiojournal" and "Týden rozhlasu"). For better understanding, the development of Práger's magazine is set into the context of social and political events during 1930's in our country, with a brief description of media from this time. Most of the magazine's content was devoted to radio production, to conditions and the aim of radio broadcasting. Information about the constitution, funding and personal structure of the radio station in Czechoslovakia in the 20th and 30th is also included in this bachelor thesis, as well as the description of the editor Vilém Práger and other important people who contributed to his magazine.
