Bachelor thesis "Analysis of currrent implementation of programmes OPPI and reflexion of their regional differenciation with special aspect on programme Development" is focused on theoretical concept of business support and relationship between regional development and competitiveness. Analytical part contains an assessment of current implementation of programmes in Operational Programme Enterprise and Inovation in programming period 2007-2013. Regions of the Czech Republic are compared from three aspects (the number of submitted project applications, the number of implemented projects and the volume of funds in implemented projects). Based on the analytical part there are suggested possible reasons of regional differentiation in the current implementation of the programmes OPPI.
Quality of the catering services

This study compares the quality of services in two specific restaurants at the hotel's facilities in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom and according to quality characters suggests possible improvements. By using Ishikawa diagram study analyses gaps in tangible and intangible components of the services and provides a possibility for efficient improvement. Used check list was same in both countries, it evaluates customer satisfaction with services and suggests methods to eliminate deficienties and possible improvements in quality.
The process of the nominal and real convergence in Czech Republic after entering European Union

The aim of the bachelor paper is the macroeconomic analysis of the nominal and real convergence of Czech Republic within EU-27. Is the economic and price level of the Czech Republic closer to the level of EU-27? To which extent did the entering of the Czech Republic influence its competitiveness? Does the Czech Republic fulfill the Maastricht Convergence Criteria? I will try to answer these questions with the help of the chosen indicators on the basis of the statistic data available from the Statistical Office of the European Commission Eurostat, national CSO, also according to the evaluation of the Global Competitiveness Report, which is published every year by the World Economic Forum and finally according to the document of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic and the Czech National Bank, that has been evaluating the fulfillment of the Maastricht Convergence criteria from the year 2004.
Integration Tendencies of the Science and Technology Development in Europe: The Competitiveness' Growth

The graduation thesis focuses on science and technology parks as the form of tendencies for the integration of the science and technology development in Europe. The objective of the thesis is to describe the development of science and technology parks in selected European countries and to verify the existence of dependencies between the integration of the science and technology development and the competitiveness of countries. The author defines the fundamental parameters and strategic goals of parks and compares parks in selected European countries on that basis. The author confirms positive dependences between the integration of the science and technology development and the competitiveness of countries and deduces prerequisites for the effective function of science and technology parks in the economy. The author suggests prospective good practices for the identified prerequisites.
Support of innovation, research and development in the European Union as the instrument for increasing its competitiveness

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to explain why the European Union considers innovation, research and development as the engine for increasing its competitiveness, to find out how this area is supported by the European Union, discover if these efforts persist despite of the economic crisis, evaluate how these effots help to rise its competitiveness, analyze in what areas the failurs persist and propose measures that would help improve European Union's performance.
Analysis of innovation potential of the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis is engaged in the companies' innovation and their support from the stuctural funds. Its aim is to analyse impacts of support on the competitiveness of companies who implemented the innovative projects cofinanced by OPPP (programme Innovation). The general part is focused on basic concepts of innovation, their types and relationship with the companies' competitiveness. Then the study attempts to approach the actual conception of the innovation policy of the European Union and to present tools of this policy, especially OPPP. The practical part attends to analyse the indicators of competitiveness of supported companies in comparison to companies in the same industry and sector. Consequently, it evaluates the supports' effectiveness of companies groups with the biggest growth of competitiveness. In conclusion, the concrete example illustrates the way that a company can increase its competitiveness on the market thanks to innovation financed by the programme Innovation.
Development of the Competitiveness of the Czech Republic After EU Accession

This thesis analyzes the development of competitiveness of the Czech Republic after its EU accession and comparison with mainly other EU members. Individual chapters include definitions of competitiveness presented by different institutions, evaluation of the position of the Czech Republic from the view of one-criteria approach and multicriteria approaches of the WEF and the IMD. The thesis tries to create a general view of the competitiveness of the Czech Republic and to evaluate advantages and disadvantages of particular assessing concepts.
The relevance of foreign direct investments for competitiveness enhancement of the economy of the Czech Republic

This thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part I deal with foreign direct investment and its relation to competitiveness, in the following part I apply this issue to the South Moravia Region. In the first chapter I characterize in general foreign direct investments, the second one is devoted to impacts of foreign investments on national economy. In the following chapter I briefly outline history of foreign direct investments in the Czech Republic and decribe current situation of our country in this field. The fourth chapter deals with competitiveness of the Czech Republic. In the last chapter I describe and analyze effect of investments on the economy of the South Moravia Region, in the end I propose measures in order to increase competitiveness.
Regional competitiveness in the EU

The aim of the master thesis is to evaluate the competitiveness of the individual countries of the European Union, to specify which member countries art most competitive and on the other hand to determine which countries are among the other EU states dropping behind. The subject of this thesis is at first defining the concept of competitiveness, evaluation of different methods used for its measurement and description of tools, which are used by EU in order to increase the competitiveness of EU countries. In the second part is defined the competitiveness of the EU countries using the analysis of relevant data based on stated of criteria.
