THE PUBLIC CITY SPACE - LOCALITY VYŠKOV

The project includes a study of the urban redevelopment an urban public space, formerly a laundry service, in the central urban area. Conversion of this complex includes the revitalization and redevelopment of old buildings and surroundings, new buildings, open spaces for relaxing with a wide program of functions and services such as fitness, galleries, restaurants, office space, retail space, housing and loft living. The objects and surfaces are placed or created for an easy living for visitors and movement of pedestrians. An important part of the project is to address and transform the river embankment. The study takes into account all the specificities of contemporary architecture in the historic environment.

The Municipal Baths

What does a "spa" mean in the city of today? City full of movement and noise, the world controlled by an active life, employers and companys? It is not like lazy English seaside resorts, it´s not Austrian headwaters, not pleasing glossy aqua at all. "Urban Spa" is daily part of life of every active person. It´s offering regeneration of body and soul, habituating people to doing regular exercises and live a healthy life, creating intimate atmosphere for informal business meetings and for natural development of personal relationships.

Sports center

The theme of master´s thesis is the newly built sports center in Rychnov nad Kněžnou. The building is without a basement, two-storey, set in a slighty sloping terrain. The building is designed of system Porotherm with ceiling panels Spiroll. The roof construction is single-flat. Fitness with small sports hall, small bar, squash and wellness facilities with pool, whirlpool and sauna is located in the object. Tennis courts with training wall are outside next to the building.

Sports Centre in Hodonín

This is a proposal of a detached building sports center with squash courts and a café. The building's basement, with two floors. Ground plan of the building is composed of two rectangles. The second floor is only over part of the building. Above the squash courts is a roof of wooden trusses and load-bearing part of the skeletal system consists of brick walls. The structural system of the building is brick system Porotherm, ceilings Spiroll. The building is covered single layer flat roof, and has a ventilated facade.

Roman spa and sauna world

This Master's thesis takes a look at the construction of the new Roman baths and sauna world with adjacent premises, all connected to the premises in the section TG02, such as the water park, restaurant, administration and rehabilitation. The plot of land intended for the implementation is situated in an undeveloped area in the urban district of Zidenice on the outskirts of the city of Brno. The entire complex of buildings forms a wave landscape with a cube as the centrepiece symbolizing water in a quarry and the reaction to the neighbouring Růženin quarry. The buildings also react to significant visual axes, one of which is the view from the Hady quarry, another of the Hady access roads. Emphasis is also placed on the views from the Roman baths, simultaneously preserving the privacy of visitors. Entrance to the two-storey Roman baths and sauna world is possible from the communal changing rooms in the water park, but also separately. The Sauna world located on the first floor is lit by an atrium that connects it with the Roman baths on the second floor. There are eight dry saunas from different corners of the world, various cold-zones, three massage rooms and three relaxation rooms. A relaxing swimming pool and a fountain in the seating area of the saunabar are significant elements of the central space. Located inside the Roman baths are nine heating rooms all of different temperatures and moisture levels, a large cooling room, and a small swimming pool with an adjacent jacuzzi in the central area, both with beautiful views. From this section, you can walk out onto the adjacent terrain, where there is a large outdoor swimming pool and sauna. There is a polarium, a private spa, a small spa shop, massages and special baths each with their own entrance. On the third floor there is accommodation, a conference room and a fitness centre.

Swimming Centre Brno

The swimming center is located on the very end of the district Brno – Zidenice on the slightly sloping parcel with irregular shape. As a reaction to the proportions of the lot, the mass of the building can be described as a complex of two blocks which creates “v” form. In the one of the wing there is a swimming center with the light height of two floors. In the second section, the fitness is placed on the first floor and the wellness on the second floor. Entrance hall with a reception desk is the main connecting element from which you can enter all of the described areas. There is also a staircase and an elevator for an access to the second storey. On this level it is possible to walk on a gallery that allows visitors to enter wellness, snack bar or office but optical connection with lower floor as well. The roof above the swimming pool is proposed as made of wood tie beams. It is creating sloped surface that helps building to merge with surround. The rest of the construction is proposed from a reinforced concrete with an additional truss construction. Façade is designed from perforated metal plates in combination with glass façade.

The Repechy Guest-House

Bachelor’s thesis is based on a studio project created in the summer term of the third year of the undergraduate studies. The task was the renewal and the extension of the farmhouse for an accommodation facility and other services. The farmhouse is situated in a small village Repechy near the town of Prostejov and is complemented by two other unused buildings. In the second half of the 20th century, rectangular shaped farmhouse with a yard was roofed, interior walls were partially demolished and interior space was used for keeping the cattle. It had a big impact for the current condition of the object. Aggressive environment and high humidity, for which structures were not designed, significantly accelerate the degradation process. Later, the cattle was moved away and the original farmhouse is deteriorating until these days. Currently, the object and its surroundings are in a bad condition. Most of the constructions are damaged and it is not possible to use them anymore. Northern tract is the only part worth protection. There are preserved precious historical chambranles and other plastic decoration. Surroundings is overgrown with wild vegetation. The aim was to preserve and bring out valuable parts of the original object and find them appropriate use under specified conditions. The proposal deals with the removal of three sides of a rectangular farmhouse and preserving the northern tract in the form of a torso. Extension is based on the original farmhouse. Extends the original built up area boundary to use existing structure and creates the first volume, which symbolizes the traditional static form. Rotated duplicate of the first volume then characterized a modern and dynamic attitude in architecture. The final design of an extension is created by synthesis of both volumes as an evidence of the coexistence of a traditional and a modern form. Fitness Center's Customer Satisfaction and Proposals for its Improvement

The master thesis deals with customer satisfaction analysis of the company fit4all CENTRUM, Ltd., and proposes measures to increase it. The first part of this thesis is focused on explaining the basic theoretical concepts, charakteristics of the company follows and also analysis of company‘s background. Analytical part contains also questionnaire survey and SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, recommendations are proposed in the last part of this thesis, it should increase customer satisfaction with the offer of indoor lessons in the fitness center.

Sport & relax centre

Object SPORT & RELAX CENTER is a new building made by reinforced concrete monolithical skeleton. Filling masonry is creating with porous concrete blocks YTONG. Thermal insulation is attended by blocks made from mineral wool. Facade is ventilated and made from fibre cemented blocks. Object has two floors and cellar. The foundations are reinforced concreting monolithical stretches and foots. The stairs are three-arm monolithical reinforced concrete. Object is roofed by flat one-housing roof, over restaurant part is intensive green roof and terrace with ceramic tile.Object is supposed to use for sports and relaxation needs for the public of Chotěbor’s city and vicinity. In first floor we can find two courts for squash, restaurant with the terrace, in second floor is fitness center and in 1S we can find wellness center (massages, relaxing baths, whirlpool, relaxing room, 3 kinds of sauna-finland, steam and steam solt sauna). On the east and the south part of the parcel will be providing parking lot for visitors and employees. On the west part of the parcel is enter for supply. On the north are situated 2 courts and a volleyball pitch. The rest of the parcel cover light grass.
