Ecolabeling and consumer protection

The thesis deals with one of the voluntary instruments of state policy environment - ecolabeling (environmentally friendly products). Concretely it focuses on tourist accommodation services category due to the highest number of licenses granted in the program ecolabel of European Union. The goal was to find out the insight of tourist accommodation services and consumers in the Czech Republic and Italy on the issue of environmental protection.
Impact of television advertising on children as consumers

The aim of this thesis work is to determine the impact of television advertising on children as consumers. In this work I start from the basic characteristics and the psychological aspect of the advertising. The endeavor is to study the connection between children and television advertising and to examine, in which areas has the television advertising impact on child consumer. The research was done in Slovakia by written question-form. The informants were schoolchildren at the age of eight to fourteen.
Organic agriculture in the Czech Republic

The organic agriculture is very current and controversial topic. There is a never-ending argument whether it is economically effective and meaningful way of taking care of plants, animals and environment in general compared to the extensive agriculture. Is it just a huge trickery confusing people, or is it a healthier, environmentally friendlier way of life? In the Czech Republic is the situation even more difficult due to the period of communism. Consumer's knowledge of the principals of organic agriculture is low and we need to get inspired by those other countries which are more developed in this area. By cooperation of government, specialists, farmers and consumers we have to intensify promotion and propagation of ideas of organic agriculture. In my work I tried to provoke some of the most controversial topics and to answer some questions related to the organic agriculture. The aim of my work was to analyze the contemporary situation of the organic agriculture in the Czech Republic and by means of interviews with eco-farmers to find out their opinions about important questions. Furthermore, I tried to discover the most significant problems of the organic agriculture in the Czech Republic.
The legal regulation of consumer protection, specifically the regulation of liability for product defects

This bachelor's thesis deals with the question of consumer protection, specifically with the regulation of liability for product defects, eventually with liability for damage caused by the product defect. The reader will learn especially how to act when a product defect appears, then in what term he has to apply his rights or by whom and under which conditions. This topic is made clear not only by using quotations of the law but also by showing on examples and experiences. The list of most common fraud practices of sellers is also mentioned. In this thesis, you can also find some information about consumer organizations -- what is their goal or how to contact them. At the end I analyzed how well the consumers know their rights. I created a form where people could choose from more answers the right one. In my survey took part more than one hundred people.
Consumer Contracts and possibility of withdrawal

This bachelor's thesis deals with the problematics of consumer contracts, the conception of which is relatively new in the Czech law system. The goal of this thesis is to give the reader the general idea about the principles of the consumer contracts problematics, its legal regulations and possibilities, how to defend oneself in particular situations, especially how to witdraw from the contract. The reader will learn, what actually consumer contracts are, who can be the participant of that contractual relations, then something about the legal institutes, which provide the protection to the consumer, especially we will focus on situations, when the consumer has the right to withdraw the contract. Due to the rising popularity of purchaces realized via internet is this thesis also going to devote to contracts made by the means of the communication at distance. Also contracts made out of the business premises are mentioned. In context of holidays we will mention also the contracts called time-sharing. At the end of the thesis we are to have a look at the most often types of consumer contracts, namely contract of purchase and contract for work, and how and when to withdraw from them.

The impact of advertising on the image of chosen consumer products brands

The bachelor thesis analyzes the relationship between advertising and image as a part of a commercial brand. The theoretical part of the final thesis deals with the terms commercial brand, advertising and consumer behaviour. The practical part contains questionnaire research, which was used to determine the level of influence of the advertising, as well as the other factors, which have an effect on consumer's perception of commercial brand in general. The research subject was a brand of probiotic youghurts Activia.
Marketing communication with Chinese consumer through internet

The diploma describes the mentality of typical Chinese consumer and tries to show pros and cons of marketing communication with him. The thesis also contains many real cases which should illustrate the findings. The main medium for communication we elaborate in this thesis is internet. The internet as a relatively new medium and has a big potential for a new generation of young Chinese consumers, who use internet as their main communication and information tool.
Consumer Protection and Smoking

The first section describes the theoretical background and the legal definition of consumer protection. The second part is devoted to tobacco products. Here are given their types and tobacco companies operating in the Czech market. The third part examines the specific laws that relate to the production and sale of tobacco products. It is mainly focused on regulating the tobacco industry. The last part deals with smoking. It outlines the problem of youth smoking, and describes some anti-smoking organizations and campaigns against smoking.
The consumer purchase decision process in the market for bicycles

This thesis aims to analyze the consumer purchase decision process in the market for bicycles in all its stages. It sets to involve significant specifics that have any bearing on this process. The thesis is divided into several parts. The theoretical part deals with marketing tools applicable within the bicycle market considering bicycle a complex product with all related components. The following part goes into great detail analyzing the purchase decision process in the bicycle market, most of the space being devoted to the actual PDP stages. The last part handles the question of marketing research generally. The practical part of this thesis draws on the results of a marketing research carried out by means of questionnaires. Written questioning played vital part in primary data collection. This work also presents information concerning the questionnaire research. Then, socio-demographic issues are analyzed which specify more closely the questioned-group structure. The statistical analysis of each one question in the questionnaire presents the crucial part which involves both a first stage analysis of all the questions used and a two-dimensional statistical analysis that gives an insight into the coherence between selected questions. Also included is summary of results and formulating marketing recommendations for bicycle manufacturers and sellers.
