Analysis of the effectiveness of ventilation systems of houses
Šošolíková, Jana ; Krauter, Pavel (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
This Master´s thesis deals with the analysis of the effectiveness of ventilation systems. The key concept of the thesis is HVAC system in buildings with low energy demand. In the most comprehensive chapter are some concepts clarified: air tightness, ventilation, air conditioning, heating and hot water preparation. The aim of the thesis is to define passive house in terms of acquisition and operating costs, including the ventilation system and to make comparison with systems applied in conventional construction with focusing on assessment of effectiveness of ventilation equipment.
Life cycle cost of passive house
Javořík, Erik ; Prak, Michal (referee) ; Tichá, Alena (advisor)
The diploma thesis analyzes the overall life cycle costs of a passive family house. In the theoretical part the thesis deals with the definitions of concepts needed to understand the given issue and to determine the costs in individual parts. In the practical part the knowledge and procedures to two passive family houses are applied.
Design of heating system for low-energy family house
Kytýrová, Zdeňka ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Košner, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a heating system for a "low-energy" house. It is conceived as a low temperature system using a combination of radiators and underfloor heating. The design is supplemented with a calculation of heat loss, a proposal of needed components, a scheme of the system and means of regulation. The second part solves the heat source selection. A solar system with vacuum tubes is used as the primary source. The second one is an electrical water heater located in the accumulation reservoir for the hot domestic water. Necessary calculations for the design of the solar system, together with a scheme and means of regulation, are enclosed in this section.
Cost analysis of passive houses and houses with zero energy demand
Šiklingová, Barbora ; Aigel, Petr (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis "Cost analysis of passive houses and houses with zero energy consumption" focuses on using natural materials in constructions suitable for passive and zero-energy houses. The theoretical part describes concepts related to the construction of energy-efficient buildings. The practical part assesses the suitability of each construction for use in passive and zero-energy houses. Furthermore, these constructions are valued and compared with each other.
Cost analysis of heating sources in passive houses
Vítek, Marek ; Biolek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Tuscher, Martin (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is cost analysis of heating sources in passive houses. The first part of the thesis is theoretical and focuses on basic concepts of passive house, renewable energy sources, heating sources, economical indicators. In the practical part there is cost analysis of chosen heatig sources of model house. Result of this thesis is evaluation of design options and optimal solution.
Operating costs of passive houses
Baranyková, Zuzana ; Chovancová, Jitka (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The main topic of this thesis is the comparison of operating costs (energy balance) of a passive house with running costs of a house of an ordinary construction. Total operating costs of those types of construction are determined and the houses are subsequently divided into groups according to their actual consumption and a comparison of the different types of construction is carried out.
Assessmen of ROI in a Passive and Standard House in Zlín
Gajdoš, Nikola ; Vařechová, Martina (referee) ; Hlavinková, Vítězslava (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the economic return of the investment in the passive house compared to the standard house. The thesis presents the common problems of passive construction, history, requirements, properties and used materials. The method of assessment is based on the return on initial investment in the passive house. The main part of the thesis focuses on materials with thermal insulating properties and software calculation of annual energy consumption. At the end of the thesis an analysis of energy prices at the time of return was made. The output of the work is the payback time of the initial investment in the passive house in years at two different prices of energy consumption.
Revitalisation of the Hotel Facility by the Brno Artificial Lake
Švec, Martin ; Zemánek, Václav (referee) ; Zemánková, Helena (advisor)
This is the proposal of the new utilization of the former recreational centre, which is situated in the beautiful surrounding of the Brno lake. It has been abandoned for many years and is suffering from decay. It has been built in the 1970's for the demand of the Socialistic youth union (remark: the youth organisation of the communist's party). There were held international political conventions and educational sojourns for the students of high schools and universities. The new utilization will be analogous. Only the communist's ideals will be replaced with the ideals of today's democratical society – especially friendly relations between mankind and environment. There will be created the environmental educational centre with the meeting spaces, conference hall and accomodation. The universal concept enables the usage of the facility also for the international students' workshops, training courses, teambuilding events etc. The ecological educational centre primarily makes the good example and is the live educational requisite. Thanks to the concept of the original facility is very convenient the refurbishment to the standard of the energetically passive building, which consists from the natural materials and utilizes renewable energy resources. Because of the very poor technical condition and devastation of the building will be re-used only basement and steel framework. This solution is more economical than the demolition and following new construction. The construction core of the building is almost for free. However, only if we make minimal changes in the framework and we preserve the original building's shape. On the steel framework will be created the new lightweight housing, which will be made from wood, straw pannels and filled with the cannabis thermal insulation. Almost all the roofs will be covered with the photovoltaic foils and the heat source will be air heat pump. The area is very pleasant place to stay. It's full of sunshine all day long and offers very beautiful view of the lake. The main building and bungalows profit of the attractive views. All the former recreational area has was designed to make the people meeting together and to provide the freedom of move and wide variety of activities. However, the rooms and bungalows provide the highest privacy. The inside and outside of the buildings are shading into each other. All the recreational ground – in exterior and interior – is full of liveliness, in the opposite of the rooms, which are the private islands. This aspect, which is present in the former concept from the 1970's, is to be preserved. The former hotel building is distinguished by the quality architectural concept, above-average in the age of origin. It is thanks to the dynamically balanced composition – inspirative today too, and visually interesting interior design of the meeting spaces. This proposal attempts to continue in this qualities. The ground is enriched with the relaxational spaces and the outside gym path. In the opposite of the original state the area is open to the public and is utilized as a park for leisure activities.
Comparison: Common Block of Flats Compared with Passive Block of Flats
Vlčková, Klára ; Sedláček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kocmanová, Alena (advisor)
The object of this thesis is comparison of business plans of housing construction with passive housing construction in monitoring company. First section summarizes theoretical description of prospectus and passive houses. Another part attends to appreciation of housing construction and surrounding analyse of company. In the third section, there are proposals of realization prospectuses with alternatives of financing this kind of projects. Final part of thesis deals with a question whether realize passive block of flats or common block of flats.
Smart City Buildings and their Valuation
Uheríková, Eliška ; Hrdlička, Tomáš (referee) ; Lorencová, Marie (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on specification of standard type buildings and Smart City buildings differences. Thesis also contain a history part of individual buildings category, including their specification. The aim of thesis is to determine designs for changes of building valuation in Smart City standard. Theoretical part contains basic definition and limitation of terms from civil engineering branch and structural types, summary of historical development of houses and evaluation by cost method, most common used experience. Practical part is focused on calculation. According real houses cost of three detached houses in Smart standard, there are calculated new price ratio which enter into cost method valuation. Their effectiveness is verified together with newly design adaptation of cost method valuation on next five detached houses in Smart standard.
